Passing the exam is worth it …

The exam is long but worth it if you pass it. It is a nice part time job, I wish the tasks were more though because they are easy and enjoyable, you learn new things on the job. They are never late with payments, and their pay rate is better than their competitors. They use a wallet to pay and it takes two days to get your money in your main bank account. They always respond to their emails and they are professional.

Foreign work from home agents etc

Fisrt, it seems impossible to contact anyone easily. Second, when we did get through I'm sure the guy wasn't in Canada and was at home with screaming kids in the background. He also asked lots of irrelivent information unrealated to what I was asking. Didn't know any answers. This is a corporate giant that doesn't really care. Where are their email contacts and please we want people in Canada to answer our queries.

TELUS INTERNATIONAL

Legitimate company, but scammers trying to get your information to steal your identity, I received a job offer from a Mary Thompson in regards to a data entry position remote job available, and that I would be a great candidate to work for them, they almost scammed me. I went thru the entire "application process" answering the question on what kind of employee i think I am, and divulged information to "TELUS International" such as my name, my phone number, email address, home address on day 1. They told me to report back to them on day 2 at 8am my time, where i was presented, with a offer letter that i was to sign and date, then after searching for about 30 minutes on software to sign and date online i sent them back the signed forms.
They then asked me for more personal information such as a copy of my drivers license, which i did not give them, stating that i did not feel comfortable, they had asked me why and to upload another from of ID, this is where i started to do research on the names provided to me and the company along with job scamming, day 1 they had asked where i bank, i did in fact state capital one no information was given, and on day 2 they had asked me if i had any other accounts besides the capital one account. This is when all the red flags were raised they informed me of a check being emailed to me and that i would need to print it out and by materials with it to do the job i was offered, that was the final straw for me. BE AWARE, SCAMMERS ARE EVERYWHERE.

FAKE SCAME SITES IMPERSONATING THIS COMPANY

I'm really just here to let everyone know that this company is, in fact, legitimate. I've seen FOUR DIFFERENT copycat websites TODAY ALONE for this company, all of which are different and all of which are scams. I have no actual experience with this company other than going to their legitimate website.

Any web domain that is NOT the following (make sure you read those letters closely and fully) ARE NOT THIS COMPANY. (Note: no spaces in between telus and the rest of the link; Trustpilot doesn't allow links to be posted but I wanted to make sure people looking this up could find the real website....)

VidaHeritage bank

Good day
I responded to an ad via Facebook about freelance translator work offered by Telus International. I then had to contact a Ms Freya Oliver via Telegram. She emailed a project of 55 pages that I had to translate from English to Afrikaans in 6 days' time @ $1800. I completed the project on time and received an email that my job was 95% successful. I then had to open a VidaHeritage Bank account for those funds to be deposited. Since then I had to pay $153.34 twice to activate the account. All of this was also corresponded via Telegram with the "Payment manager". Now I must pay $320 to get a Cost of Transfer permit code so that I can withdraw or transfer the money to my own bank in South Africa. I have already lost $310.94.

Time Wasting - With Red Flags

I took an initial test before preparing for a three-part, seven-day exam. I watched the hour-long training video, read (a good deal of the) 169 A4 pages of guidelines, & looked at other videos in the 'Learning Centre'. I have to say, as a former recruitment consultant, this process makes me feel very uncomfortable. Therefore, I won't be continuing.

Things that are a red flag:
-Providing my full DOB during the initial test. This is not necessary at this stage of the process.

I provided my CV at the initial recruitment stage to fulfil the recruitment process. It should be done after all tests are completed, but it is not needed until then. I want to know what they are doing with my data.

-It appears that assessments for ongoing work are arduous in length, time-wasting & engineered to glean data from most people. There is no clear explanation for why the assessments are not shorter; if they were shorter, it would be reasonable.

-Wasting intelligent people's time does not show integrity & raises suspicion.

-I wonder why part 3 of the exam has a link to follow & bookmark on my phone - although the test is on a desktop computer, this seems unnecessary; search results could be viewed without this specific link.

-The webinar host coughed through the video & did not mute her mic during coughing episodes; which is unprofessional & unpleasant.

-The webinar host's English is a little poor. It would be ok if the test did not require 100%. The 100% pass rate is not an issue so much as that the guidelines are verbose - there is a typo in them - & the test should be shorter with more than seven days to complete at the current exam length). If wanting 100%. Although I am confident I would pass - why would a reasonable person put themselves through this - when time could be better spent to create income? It is disappointing that Telus has not thoughtfully edited its recruitment structure & tests. It is also disappointing that they expect an applicant to understand their criteria - but don't make an equal effort with their level of English & grammar.

-I contacted Telus to see why the webinar would still not load hours after recording. Their response & lack of attention to my screenshot were annoying. They stated that it would work on the links provided (it didn't). So, I contacted the webinar software provided to fix the issue. I wondered why they require a strict level of 'attention to detail', but their response team has poor levels of detail. This struck me as unusual.

I cleared my schedule to ensure I was set up for success in passing their exam, but honestly, this is the most ridiculous process. The guidelines are verbose & should be rewritten to exclude content.

I'm pleased I have made a good decision not to waste any more of my time & I feel uncomfortable providing more data from my devices.

If I were Telus International & wanted to do better, I would make the pre-tests short & the future assessments (for work) also short. I would not ask for people's DOBs or CVs in the initial test/application.
I would explain clearly why 'part 3' of the exam is structured strangely since the exam is being taken on a desktop.

I was scammed by two ladies and a fake…

I was scammed by two ladies and a fake bank!!
The two ladies who claimed to work for this company.
They provided a telegram link for communication. I was given a project plan to choose the project i want to work on. After I received a contract it seemed legit.
I worked on my retyping project and submitted on time.
They said they pay through various banks but when I was done working the told me they can only pay through Vida heritage, and told me to open an account. I did that. After opening I provided my account number then the finance manager transferred money into my account.
Then boom! I had to deposit $90 for activation. I did that then tried to withdraw into my local bank. Guess what!? I couldn’t because it requested a COT permit code and they say i have to pay for that code.
Guy’s please be aware of these ladies
If anyone knows how i can have my money back, please do assist

Do not waste your time if you are…

Do not waste your time if you are looking for a job. The company is disorganised on every level, seems they have no real competence and emails will contradict eachother. Expects you to do numerous hours of unpaid work, just to reject you with no apparent reason. Jumped through all of their hoops, passed the exam and was still rejected despite providing all of their onboarding information and hiring documents. Exams are difficult and ambiguous so took me considerable time studying, just to be left disappointed. Replies are unprofessional and always late. Little/ no support during onboarding; emails are ignored. Do not touch with a 10ft pole.

DO NOT GIVE UR INFO DO NOT APPLY

DO NOT GIVE UR INFO! DO NOT APPLY. After aimlessly applying to jobs on linkedin I applied to a role on telus international (I became automated like a robot and wasn’t paying attention). BIG MISTAKE now i keep getting spammy emails from different handles and they keep sending me tests and webinars that have nothing to do with the job role. THEY ARE STEALING UR DATA or they are automating their work through you. I STRONGLY suggest you block all of their email handles that they have used to send you emails and report them for fraud/scam on linkedin!!!

I got a solicitation from a LinkedIn from Telus

I got a solicitation from a LinkedIn member, most likely a Philipino. Seemed legit, however it was in fact a freelance, and not actual job. The application asked for FULL DATE of birth, which is illegal in USA. I've noticed many scams around Google, and AI lately. As others have noticed the tests themselves are not functional, or nonsensical. Even Robert Half had one, the recruiter said I speak poor English. I'm a certified teacher in ELA and published author. Really??? I'm not sure what the game is with these, identity theft seems the only option. I get MANY scam calls, scam solicitations on FaceBook, etc. not sure if it is all related or not.

These guys are a scam. Read for how and why

These guys are a scam. This is what the scam is:

They need data cleansed and analysed so they put these on an "assessment" for the employment. This assessment isnt short, it's taken some people a week to complete. They will fail most people so they can give them new sets of questions and data to analyse. They program the system to pass a minimum % of people so some people can say it's not a scam. If you read the other reviews there are highly qualified individuals who have filed over and over again and others with a fraction of knowledge who ga r passed first time.

The scam is to pass just enough people to make it look legit but fail most so they can send them through a cycle of reassessment, in effect doing the work for the employer for free.

They reached out to me on LinkedIn saying i was perfect for the role. When I asked why they think I'm perfect with 3 years IT experience when multiple people with 10 years experience and masters have failed over and over again, they blanked me.

Waste your time with these people if you want but you will likely just be doing their work for them for free

Telus Intl AI Rater Program Onboarding Fiasco

On May 27, 2024, I passed the exam and was hired for Telus International's Rater-US program. One day after taking the third part of the exam, I received word that I had passed the exam. I also received numerous welcome email messages from their Onboarding team, including my offer letter, several links to submit documentation, instructions to look for other emails, etc. I followed the instructions as outlined in the emails, submitted documentation, read and signed Telus employment agreements and waivers, then waited.

There was one final email that was referenced in one of the first messages sent. The email I was waiting for would guide me through logging onto the system to actually do work, there were to be instructions on how to log time worked and other crucial employment details. I NEVER received this email.

My start date (May 30th) that was given in the offer letter came and went. I didn't receive the email, so I didn't work. I sent numerous emails to the email addresses that the new employee emails came from, but the only responses I received back were automated ones (confirming that my message had been received and would be handled...), so they did not help at all.

Apparently any contact information I should have needed must have also been in the final email that I never received because I had no idea who I should contact to get my hands on that email. During a one and one-half week span of time, I sent TWELVE emails to the various addresses, to no avail.

In their offer letter, there's the mention of having ten days to accept the offer and fulfill all requirements. During the 1-1/2 week period of my trying to reach someone, I heard absolutely NOTHING from a Telus employee. However, just past the ten-day period, someone there miraculously remembered how to use email and I received an email saying they were rescinding their job offer because I failed to comply with their ID verification requirements. No details of what was lacking in my submission.

I still had not received a response to any of my requests for the chased email. Now, to add to that, this is the first I’m hearing about any incorrect/incomplete submission of documents, which they had ample time to reach out to me about.

I would like to add here that throughout the entire process of receiving testing materials, taking the exam and for two days after passing the exam, I received regular emails from Telus employees for various reasons. Multiple times a day sometimes. Also, they were very helpful when it came to answering questions during my study and testing period. I always received responses from someone. For some reason, everything went totally silent with them at the onboarding stage, a very time-sensitive period when I needed answers and no emails were answered.

I don't know what their deal is, what it is they're doing, but I can't stop thinking about the fact that I submitted my photo ID and Social Security card as a part of their ID verification process. At this point, I do not care to become a part of any team under the Telus International brand. I just wanted to share this experience because I have NEVER witnessed this level of unprofessionalism before and, maybe, my vent will help someone else avoid this huge mess of frustration and disappointment, disguised as an opportunity.

I really dont understand how people can…

I really dont understand how people can claim that this company is a scam, just because they were not able to pass the qualification exam. Yes, they are not completely transparent on some topics, thats for sure. But, if you really study and pass the exam, some opportunities they offer are very good. Of course it should not be considered as a full time job but as a part time one its great. Some times i happened to earn a monthly salary greater than the one i got from my main job. It sucks that the onboarding process (including the training and exams) is not paid, but it wouldnt make sense otherwise. From my point of view the company is surely legit and trustworthy, i never missed a payment and i am very grateful for the opportunity they gave me.

Job Scam

Some people say it is not a scam, but I say it is. You apply for a job, sometimes they don't reply as if they use you to apply for the job and then give your "pass" to someone else to work and be paid for your hardwork. Why did I say that? I completed a task during a bot chat interview/screening, when I failed one part of the interview questions, I was told right there that I failed. Soon, I was sent an email to redo the task and this time I passed it, yet they sent an email much later saying that I did not pass it.

Other times, I applied for jobs and never heard back at all even though I have the qualification and experience. Telus international, stop wasting peoples' time just because you know people want to work. You can be Telus today, but be broke tomorrow, only God has the final say.
