I tried the 7 day trial

I was a customer of the seven day free trial. I elected not to pay to sign up the plan because I genuinely couldn’t see what you get for your money.

The following is sold as what you get. However here is my observations.

1. Access to “academy”. This is a Facebook group. Mostly people asking questions. I didn’t see any informative posts. I still have access with I suspect a lot of others who have never paid anything.

2. Videos which as others have said are dated and not particularly useful. There is nothing there that isn’t available on Dan Wheelers TikTok for free.

3. “Bespoke calories/macros”. Dan has a free YouTube video showing how to work it out.

I couldn’t justify spending £25 a month for the above and based on the other reviews I’ve read I think this was the right decision.

Hi DS

Thank you for the feedback, its true Dan does give away loads of content for free on his socials which anyones free to watch, and the academy would have been full of members asking questions as its a great source of support and little tips to help you on your journey.

Not one for doing reviews but......

So after a good long time being on a tonne of these plans, I feel I have found one I will stick to, I found the lives fun informative and engaging, the course material was good although there are to be updates and am really looking forward to them. The main guy Dan was a great help to me and a few times during the course reached out to me personally when I shared I was finding it all a bit difficult, since then I have lost about 15 cms but more importantly my mindset is a whole lot positive. Starting to realise nothing is perfect and learning how to deal with the stress has been a god send to me and my family. I can recommend enough the team and the main man are salt of the earth and incredibly approachable.

Good luck in your journeys just hope this review helps

80/20 Is A Life Changer

I completed my 16 weeks and can honestly say I feel like a new man.
I have lost and continue to lose body fat on a weekly basis, I'm happier, I have more energy, off antidepressants and I have made lots of new amazing friends from the 80/20 academy.
I weighed about 21 stone, I am 6.3 inches tall and was put on 3480 calories a day and the only movement I had to do was about 10,000 steps a day. I have no idea how much I weigh now and I don't care as my clothes fit nicely again, which is what we all want really, but to do that I had to address my mindset and understand why I kept putting body fat on. 80/20 really helps with this.
I too had read a lot of reviews before signing up, good and bad ones, but I encourage you to try the plan and make your own decision and not let other people influence you. That's what I did and I promise if you follow the plan it works.
You owe it to yourself to be the best you, but don't take my word for it, try it and see for yourself.

So I have graduated my 16 weeks with a…

So I have graduated my 16 weeks with a loss of 107.6cm.
I was lucky that 16 weeks ago Dan was kind enough to let me join for free.
I was given lots of support and the plan helped save my life.
I had a very dark sad 2 years, and the support from the group has really helped, the fat loss is a bonus.
I may not always agree with things but the plan works, and there are classes you can join to help get your steps in and a pick me up with the lives.

It's a slow manageable plan, if you want quick wight loss then it's not for you. But if you want a slow steady sustained fat loss then this is the plan.
You have to put the work in, and you need to be dedicated but the plan is set so you can take it at your own pace. Plus you learn some education on mindset and nutrition to help you.
Scientifically it works and on a cellular level it is the best way to go.

I would happily rejoin the plan ASAP to just have the support and help others as the helped me.

My kids have a mum and I have my life back.
There has been a lot of negative press recently, my advice? Make your own mind up, read the good and bad but make sure to try it out before you decide.
There is a 7day free trial which I started with.

It's not for everyone but you won't know until you try.

Completed the 16 weeks, living my best life!

I have recently completed my 16 weeks on the plan and can honestly say it’s been the best thing I have ever done!

I joined the plan with my husband, we had both tried many other route to finding a healthy lifestyle slimmingworld, weight watchers, diet chef, juice plus ext ext, nothing worked long term and always demonised food we loved to eat, leading to binge eating habits when your resolve just can’t hold out any longer.

Since starting the plan my mind set has completed changed, I I ’m finally feeling happy with my mind, body and soul, I have learned to process my emotions, the group helped me cope with a bereavement and I can honestly a lot of these people have become my friends, they are such an amazing bunch of inspiring, positive helpful people!

My energy levels have increased, libido is returning after many years with none! I’m more in tune with my cycle and my hormones, Iv lost 45cm over my body, my marriage is in a much more positive place, we have reconnected as a family and a couple, the plan has been so much more than just fat loss to me!! I have complete food freedom and been enjoying all my favourite food again passing on healthy eating habits to my son so he will never need to demonise food and be stuck in a diet mindset! Making me feel like a better mummy and wife has been the most positive change to my life and because I was so much happier the fat loss has been easy, the plan has never felt like a diet or a chore, I have loved getting my steps in each day and it has definitely brought a spark back to my life I was missing!

Daniel Wheeler and his team have constantly gone above and beyond to help me and my family as well as so many people within the academy! Not to mention all the free advice given outside of the plan! He is a genuinely lovely person that just wants to help people!

I can’t recommend 80/20 enough and I have referred several of my friends who are also seeing great results! Im honoured to have been asked along with my hubby to stick around as a legend and help support new member joining the plan 😊

I have loved watching the plan grow and change, meeting all the new people joining, the step & weight classes, the lives from the coaches, all the live q&a advice and interactions, the support from the academy, the weekly content, you just won’t get this much anywhere else for the £25 per month! Nutrition, movement, mindset covered! With a money back guarantee! It’s a no brainier really!

Please look past the hate, most of these reviews are not a true reflection of the plan and the academy, you will not find a more lovely group of knowledgable, supportive people and a plan with such great value for money, Daniel Wheeler really has changed my life for the better! I find him so relatable, honest, genuine person, along with Sean and kaz I feel like I’m having a coffee with my super knowledgeable mates every morning at the lives, Lois and Gill are always there to cheer you on and sort it any issues and provide support! Along with the rest of the team and the 80/20 family!

Two very happy customers!
Love the O’Sullivan clan

My review is my opinion of why I have…

Update: Via Trustpilot 8020 are asking me to provide more info. I am not prepared to do this but if Trustpilot needs any info I am happy to provide that.

My review is my opinion of why I have given 1 star.
Firstly... I am not a troll.
I am a 62 year old overweight woman who desperately wanted to lose some weight and get fitter. I joined 80.20 because it was not restrictive unlike other 'plans'
To be brutally honest, I joined the Academy and felt really disconnected fairly quickly.
The constant swearing and irrelevant chat got too much for me to listen to on the daily lives.
I am not a prude but for a business man to conduct himself with his customers/clients in such a vulgar manner is very off putting.
I can echo what alot of the other reviews say. The theory of this plan is good but the way the business conducts itself is not.
If you have small children you could not watch these Academy lives while they are present. They should be 18 rated.

Hi Steph Lock

Thank you for the review, Dan does have a very non nonsense approach which can be quite direct. We have improved many of the features including the lives you refer to with a new coach hosted 1pm live with an expert coach answering ay questions you may have. We are not pleased that you did not feel welcomed by the community but we have improved all of this recently so it is even better than before.

This plan did not work for me.

This plan did not work for me.

Update: I am a real person. I had a real experience. I am not a troll. Unfortunately I had to update to say this due to the business owner stating constantly that all bad reviews are fake and part of a hate campaign....yet another reason my mindset isn't helped by the 80/20 lifestyle plan.
I joined 8020 at the same time as alot of people. When Dan's tiktok boomed. I knew it was a risk.. I could see that his business was growing rapidly so it was a crucial time for the plan to be adapted and tweaked for mass following.
Unfortunately the risk did not pay off for me. I followed the plan. I watched the videos.did the mindset work. Unfortunately for me, what was offered in the plans content wasn't enough to make any positive changes.
The academy is a very cliquey environment. The popular people get alot of interaction.
Any real questions or issues though and you tend to get a pretty standard response to email the team or go back and rewatch the video content.
The video content is out of date. Some info has changed. The controversial melatonin suggestion was still there (melatonin is prescription only in the UK yet posts in the academy were approved advertising where we can buy it from... I reported these posts yet they remained).
When I joined the plan. It sounded like Dan had good investment to grow and perfect the content. Instead he invested in a podcast. Even though this podcast is now "separate" from the 8020... It was created using the revenue from people paying for the 8020 plan. I won't say any ore on the podcast... I'm sure many have seen the clickbait drama details already.
The 8020 environment is toxic. If you have a different opinion to Dan he tends to remove the comment and brand you a troll. All of the toxic drama content gets deleted, which gives the false positive appearance of 8020. Alot of the people branded a troll (or the c word by Mr wheeler), from what I saw... Spoke in a respectful way. They aren't horrible people. Most of them aren't on a vendetta against Dan. They just had an opinion and shared it with respect and integrity.
Expectations have no been met for me. Dan promises alot and then fails to deliver. He admitted on a live that his passion is his podcast, and entertaining people. So his passion is not 8020. 8020 is there to provide him with an income. He is trying to handover all operations to his staff so he can fully concentrate on his podcast. I just hope he updates the content soon.
One last thing. The academy lives. They aren't useful. Yes people can ask questions. Those questions may get answered in between Dan and the crew messing about on the stream. When Dan brought in his "Co stars", the lives lost relevance. They aren't educational. They aren't enhancing the plan. They are just another platform for him to carry on with his toxic behaviour.
In summary. The 8020 lifestyle plan did not work for me. I watched the videos. Did the work. I emailed the team. It still failed to help me lose fat. Some may say that's my fault. Of course I take responsibility for myself. But it isn't worth the money.
Go online. Find out your maintainence calories. Find a healthy deficit for you and gradually move more.

Oh and one final thing. I waited to write this review until I had fully left the plan. I was encouraged and asked to review early but surely people should review something in its whole and not after only a short time?

Hi Jac

Thank you for the feedback, many, many members have seen great success with our plan and its shame you feel it hasn't worked out for you. can I ask did you reach out via the email system or speak with a coach in your time at 8020? this would have helped massively if you had any hurdles you were trying to overcome. Many companies including ours ask to be reviewed at various stages so they can improve their product or service overall and not just in one area. However we do admit we have made mistakes but we have addressed these within the business by making investments in the customer services department.

Didn’t work for me

***further edit following 80/20 response below ….

The only reason I lost cms is because they are over 14 different measurement points - it’s impossible to measure the exact same spot each week and you become so desperate to see a result that you pull the tape measure a bit tighter to see a loss. You’re failing to see the bigger picture here - I gained a stone in weight and went up a dress size - this is not a positive!!!!! The plan doesn’t work. Also, I will put this next bit back in (despite Dan requesting I remove it) because I think people need to be aware of the negative impact joining 80/20 can have on your mental health - Dan Wheeler is a bully. There are no two ways about it. Unsolicited phone calls, bribery, calling anyone who leaves negative reviews trolls/c***s. The list goes on with the horrible behaviours this man displays. Proceed with caution****

***Edited review following a one to one conversation with Dan Wheeler***

I did 14 weeks of the 16 week “commitment” and asked to be removed from the plan before starting week 15. ***please note I did not ask for a refund and have no intention of doing so**

Whilst I lost some cm on the plan, I gained almost a stone in weight and went up a dress size. You’re “banned” from mentioning weight in the academy and all posts are reviewed before being posted to ensure there is no negativity. Some people may like this, others - like myself - didn’t as it can then make it seem harder to reach out for support.

Hi Deborah

Thank you for the review, We do ask members not to weigh themselves although we do understand this can be difficult for some. It's great that you lost cm's on the plan but we also do ask members complete the 16 weeks. we will take on board the comments regarding the academy and use this to improve the feature.

In My Opinion

I saw Dan on tiktok and his message of eat more & move more hit home. I thought why not try something new, it certainly felt like something I could stick to long term. I wish I would have done my research because It soon became apparent that this was not my cup of tea. Not the 'plan' but the atmosphere of the online group and alarming behaviours I saw from Dan himself.

The things that contributed to cancelling my membership;

1. When I joined the numbers were quickly increasing, I feel a lot of the focus quickly became about expanding the business rather than focusing on basic fundamentals/customers. Things that were said would happen, never materialised.

2. The lives on the Facebook Academy, I could rarely watch live because of the amount of swearing and sexual references (not appropriate with small children in earshot), quite frankly if I never hear the phrase 'that's what she said' again it would be too soon.

3. The Facebook Academy is essentially dominated by a small group of members who place Dan on a pedestal, it can feel quite exclusionary if your not part of the clique. The regular members will struggle to be noticed/heard over the dominant members.

4. Dan seemed preoccupied on creating a podcast, something which he stated he felt was the place he needed to be (an entertainer). In doing so he would advertise 'The Dan Wheeler Show' in the Facebook Academy. His podcast was not as popular as he had hoped, so he decided to use manipulative tactics (click bait) and staged drama to increase his viewing numbers, which backfired on him. He was challenged on this and at first he arrogantly brushed off any criticism. It was only when numerous members decided to vote with their feet and cancel their plans did he offer an apology (to pacify other angry members).

5. After the podcast drama some ex-members decided to create a private Facebook group to continue to support each other, Dan threatened legal action against these individuals because they criticised him in a PRIVATE forum. He called them toxic, trolls and c**ts in live broadcasts and the clique were happy to repeat his condemnations. Dan did not discourage this in any way because, in my opinion, this suited his narrative that they were destroying his business rather than him taking responsibility for the consequences of his own actions and accepting that people had left due to his own behaviour. For me this episode created a complete breakaway and I could no longer take advice from anyone conducting themselves in this manner.

6. These drama's happened about four times with various people at various stages during the 16 weeks I was part of the programme (I can already see from the recent reviews there has clearly been another drama since I left). Dan can quite readily dish out lots of criticism, listing all the negatives of other weight loss regimes (making a whole podcast about it) but threatens legal action against anyone who speak out against his own business practices and calls them trolls. I'm unsure if he has considered the unequivocal hypocrisy/irony of this.

7. His way of dealing with members who have made negative remarks on social media about the plan is not only highly unprofessional but it reminds me of documentaries I've seen when people have left the church of Scientology and get disconnected and they get labelled a suppressive person. The Facebook Academy has definite cult like vibes and Dan is their leader. I have literally witnessed people go from clique status to being called a troll and toxic. A lot of these 1 star reviews do not have peoples full names or are anonymous (including myself) because people do not want to be the next victim of being stalked/bullied by his fan club after being ripped apart by him on his own social media platforms.

8. The DMT video thing was just bizarre and all references to it quickly disappeared from viewing. Now there maybe lots of positive research about the effects of DMT on mental health being conducted (by scientists in clinical trials, I think it's important to make that distinction), but in the UK this a classed as a Class A drug and illegal. I recall one live where he was inhaling fumes from a plastic bag, after being asked what it was he laughed, did not answer and hid it from view. I am making assumptions that this was weed vapour. Bizarre that a business owner would be promoting his own illegal activity on social media.

9. The fact that he is unable to heed any criticism is alarming and he continues to fill his circle with people who are full of nothing but adulation for him, the Facebook posts are moderated so anything deemed negative is not published. This approach however, has created a false narrative within the group. Ultimately it is grown into isolating atmosphere and ignoring any legitimate criticism/concern from members.

Disgusting

I am totally disgusted at this Man's behaviour
The face of the 80/20 plan being childish and inappropriate.
Seriously why do you feel the need to put out people's names on your lives so your followers can hunt them down and throw abuse at them ?
You claim to help people's mental health , How is it possible to reach out to you if you block them on all social media ?
In theory the plan is ok but sadly loses its potential because of the pure hatred that goes with it .
And also its not big or clever to have to swear to get your point across, Why not use your qualifications ( never had proof ) to learn some new grown up words like a proper man !

The plan would profit much better if it was ran by a professional .
EDIT
Ermm I beg to differ with you about not giving ex 80/20 clients names out .I have seen them and I have heard them on more than one occasion .This is just another example of how unprofessional the whole 80/20 lifestyle plan really is .
GDPR has been breeched in my opinion

Well I would like to say that I think…

Well I would like to say that I think the 80/20 lifestyle plan is amazing Dan Wheeler is amazing and the team all the people saying you don’t get support are bare face lieing I am on the £25 a month plan and have received nothing but love and support not only from the team but also from Dan Wheeler personally and that’s just though the basic plan.
Dan does not have enough hours in the day to turn up to everyone’s house and support them as he is Dan Jones I have never been ignored or made to feel like Dan W has no time for me.
Unfortunately alit of these people writing bad reviews about his company did not like something they saw so now they have all jumped on the band wagon and are trolling him on a daily basics it really is not fair.
You get out of the plan what you are willing to but in.
Honestly this has been the most positive change for me I have built confidence,
Made new friends for life I love the 80/20 family so please people make ur own minds up.
And Dan Wheeler thank you for always being awesome and always being supportive you are the number 1 and best coach anyone cause ask for can’t wait to upgrade to vip you are worth ur weight in gold x
And 7 weeks 103cm I owe u my life mr Wheeler xx

A plan that encourages you to buy prescription only medication from the internet!

UPDATE - since writing this review myself and many others have reported the proprietor and business to the police. I have had threats of violence made against me by ‘staff’ and the proprietor has repeatedly instigated online bullying and harassment to myself and others - and claimed he would be happy if we were dead. NONE of this is inside the parameters of normal behaviour for a business.

I'd give a minus review if I could.

What do you get for your £25 a month? A calorie allowance you could work out yourself. Weekly content that is out of date and contains elements of a plan that no longer exist. (It's over 4 months since I signed up and if he'd concentrated on the business people are paying for these could easily of been updated). You email your results in weekly - but no one looks at them. A Facebook group where all posts are vetted first, so it doesn't offer a genuine reflection. Some Facebook live step classes (Get Fit With Rick are so much better). If you need help - or the plan isn't working ... don't expect help - you're as likely to be blocked and kicked out, threatened and called a troll ......... or given no help at all, despite asking repeatedly via email.

The video content pushes people to take melatonin (which is a PRESCRIPTION only thing in the UK) - So people are buying it illegally on the internet - and then Dan Wheeler has used his business accounts to promote microdosing DMT (hallucinogen and illegal) to his clients!!!! He has even admitted that he his high in most of his lives / videos

There are 'lives' which are mostly not informative and more importantly - who has time to sit and watch people chatting mostly rubbish for two hours a day in the hope of getting your question answered!

He's used videos and pictures from people who do not follow his plan inferring they have. He consistently uses clickbait, harassment and negativity.

Dan Jones promotes the plan (which he receives for free) but the majority of the weight he has lost was not on the 8020 plan and the support he receives is not what you get for £25 a month (though you wouldn't know that from his posts - which are also never marked as an ad - which they should be).

If you’re reading this - know that many of those 5 star reviews were begged for in the ‘academy’ (Facebok Group). Just look how many were left on 20th May - just look how many of those reviews are left multiple times by the same people. Scrolling through I’ve noticed at least 4 people have left 5 star reviews more than once (some of whom have left the plan and are now unhappy with it - but their reviews have not been updated/deleted). He claims that the negative reviews are left by Trolls. They’re not. They’re honest reviews of people’s experiences whereas many of those 5 star were received after the owner pleaded for them.

He sold hoodies to his plan members and then refused to allow people to return them when they did not fit. No refunds were allowed. He cited Covid as a reason returns/refunds could not be allowed. The statutory rights of customers with regards to returning goods have never changed. What he did to those customers breached their statutory rights. Vouchers were offered as compensation - that was less than half the cost of the hoodies and were only valid for his ebooks (which most people had already received). Legally people were entitled to a full refund.

16 weeks ago 2,000 people were following the plan. If the plan worked he would be using their photos and testimonies as a sales strategy. Instead the sales strategy is to denigrate another plan (Slimming World) - and that, I think, speaks volumes about the success of people on the 8020 Lifestyle Plan.

There are BETTER options out there. Better trainers. Better coaches. People who actually care and behave professionally towards their clients. People who aren't seeking to be famous. People who don't always play the victim and beg members to leave positive reviews on here to balance the negative. People who actually care about their own product and seek feedback from users to make it better. People who understand their legal obligations when they sell clothing online (the customer has the right of return). People who are actually qualified. People who are members of a professional body. People who don’t promote drug use. People who have your best interests at heart.

I had high hopes for 8020. I recommended 8020. The truth is there is only hype and white noise. There is no substance. I now actively do not recommend 8020. Help yourself by choosing a better company to achieve your goals. One that’s professional.

Started great can’t honestly say worth the money

Started great felt very positive in my experience however it did start to get too big , no forum to discuss concerns as negativity was banned from the academy , also I didn’t find the podcasts useful they became a platform for jokes and self promotion.
Good idea and basis for programme however I feel it has to be much more consumer focused to succeed

I found the 80/20 extremely inspiring…

I found the 80/20 extremely inspiring at first, when it was mainly Dan who was talking to us directly on a daily basis. As time went on i started to question what exactly I was paying £25 a month for. All it seemed were a few videos (which are basically them talking at you - they are boring, although I am sure they are factual), and membership to a facebook group where you could interact with other members who were succeeding. It rang alarm bells in my head when there were a few people who complained and videos were made by Dan himself calling them names. Any comments made to say they were not getting on with the plan were deleted and it just felt icky. People are paying for a service, they are entitled to voice frustrations. I found the plan basically pointless, and not worth the money. At the beginning it really felt like you were getting a tailored service from Dan but once signed up, it really felt like you got nothing on a monthly basis. I am now doing calorie counting on my own and doing much better. Now i hear all these things about drugs etc it makes me glad i left. Without a doubt i have witnessed him bullying people online who did not get on with his plan. Not the way to run a business.

Hi Heather Guest

Thank you for the feedback, We are improving the plan all of the time and we are currently in the process of re-filming and adding loads off new content including all of the weekly videos that are sent to you. As with most stories there are 2 sides but we addressed how we interact with past members to improve the overall service. We still provide the same level of tailored service we have from the start, specific macros and calories, set amount of steps all taking into account any medical or mobility issues you may have amongst the many other facets of the plan we had and have added.

Re-posting

Re-posting my review after it was removed. This is a genuine review after signing up for the plan.

Don't waste your money.

You can find your macros & calories online for free. What you're basically paying for is access to a Facebook group and lives which aren't particularly helpful and are just 3 people blabbering on about nothing in particular. You're not allowed to post anything negative in the group nor are you allowed to question anything. Completely unprofessional responses when anyone does dare to say anything negative about the plan. If you do sign up prepare for your email inbox to be blown up with endless emails.

Just steer clear, google your macros and calories and do 10k steps a day.

Hi KS

Thank you for the review, we have now extended out lives so there is the morning lives where you can pin questions about anything on the plan or to do with movement, mindset and nutrition and the team will answer them and the 1pm lives with our expert coaches. Dan himself does give a lot of his content away for free on YouTube etc and do please feel free to watch it. We offer so much more than the lives and the academy all of which is listed on our website www.the8020lifestyleplan.com

My last review was deleted as I…

My last review was deleted as I wouldn’t provide my details, the reason being I didn’t want to be called a troll on social media for having a voice and giving my honest opinion. This is the bullying that is mentioned in other comments.

I am a Client and coming to the end of my plan so I will Continue to post my honest option every time my comments get deleted.

The Academy is simply ran by the other FB members and contains very little additional information apart from others posting if they are doing well or not, but if your not doing well and post anything negative your post will be deleted.

The videos are out dated and not very inspiring.

The emails that get sent are all out of order and you get spammed with constant sales emails.

The plan is not worth £25 per month. If you think you will be getting a bespoke service you won’t.

It’s simply funding his podcasts and other business ideas.

I have my personal opinion on Dan but think this review needs to be about the product you are purchasing. I will be glad when I come to the end of my 16 weeks.

Hi BishBosh

Thank you for the review of the plan, The academy is where you get all the great support from likeminded people on the same journey as you and the amazing academy staff of 8020, all of our recipes and online classes can be accessed through there amongst many other great tools to help you succeed. The emails should not be sent to you out of order and should be highlighted to us if this ever does happen so we can rectify the situation immediately.

The group is really supportive and I…

The group is really supportive and I love the plan. The lives have become less helpful as they are more daily chit chat than nutrition and exercise advice - I would prefer more advice as Dan does know his stuff.

A great idea, videos have been really useful for me and I have had a great change in mindset.

Now with over 2000 members it feels less personalised but I don’t know how you get around that?

Awesome plan

Are all these negative reviews from one bitter person? And maybe any friends they've got to write a review?
Such a shame someone has to stoop to that level and try to sabotage someone's business.
Personal views of Dan have nothing whatsoever to do with whether the plan works or whether the business itself is good or bad.
I personally am half way through my third week and loving this.
I don't know Dan but he comes across as a very honest guy. He had demons as we all do but he doesn't hide them. He accepts he has challenges and is learning to deal with them. There is nothing wrong with that.
Whatever had gone on- from an outside perspective Dan is the bigger person and someone is just being very bitter.
Keep doing what you're doing danwheeler8020 and all the 80/20 crew. I think you're fab 💕

I wish I didn’t have to give this a…

I wish I didn’t have to give this a star at all.

Firstly, I joined after seeing all the TikTok vids and thought Dan sounded lovely. I felt he was really supportive and I’d be getting a great service.

How. Wrong. I. Was

When you sign up, you’re locked into a 16 week contract with no option to cancel or anything. That would have been fine except

= you cannot comment in the group if you’re having a rough time or it’s not working for you. Posts are on moderator mode so you have to have them approved.
= if you ask for help you’re told “trust the process”
= his nutrition knowledge is shockingly bad, stating breastfeeding is a catalyst for obesity because we get a taste for sweet things - I’m not breastfed, I’m still obese. As are plenty of others.
= I’ve watched Dan wheeler strip back people and threaten legal when they’ve publicised his bullying. The text messages, the use of the “r****d” slur and more has been used more than once on social media
= he publicly bragged about taking DMT in his group. He thinks he’s able to discuss health and well-being but he isn’t
= the only person getting support is “Fat Dan”. Despite that FD lost weight before coming onto 8020, Dan wheeler is claiming it’s all 8020s doing. It’s not.
= check out other reviews online about how he treated his office from April - June to know the kind of man he is.

My experience? Stay well away. Do not part with your money.

***🚩message to the8020 team🚩***
I will not provide information about myself. Every time someone does, Dan Wheeler spends his time on social media slamming the person and sending threats. I won’t be a part of that. I am still a part of the plan and a paying member for a few more weeks. Your “academy” is a sham. Take the criticism and move on and be better

And stop doing drugs. No one wants health advice from someone out of control with their own health.

UPDATE TO REPLY
I posted this review months ago and all that’s happened in the plan since has been lost members, more lies, more issues. No way have you changed your content looking at it and his ego wouldn’t allow any changes to be taken on board anyway.

Disappointed

I first saw Dan on social media and a lot of what he was saying made a lot of sense to me and he seemed like an honest, likeable guy. The idea behind the plan works, as do all calorie deficit plans and I liked the idea of the psychological aspect. However I am not able to recommend this plan due to the level of bullying that happens within it. No one is allowed to say any thing negative or ask for help if they feel something isn’t working in the Facebook group for fear of being called a troll and other nasty names. The recent use of click bait and exploiting of people’s emotions was very triggering to a lot of people. Unfortunately it seems all the efforts are now going towards the podcast and helping one specific family rather than helping all the original members of programme or updating any of the content. Even the lives, which I used to find helpful and informative are now just pointless chatting. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but I am really hoping that Dan takes it on board as I think there is time to turn it around and bring it back to the people that helped him build up the business again, focus on supporting them and taking criticism on board.

Added- I would just like to add that I was a genuine member and have sent evidence to trustpilot to prove this. I don’t know anyone else personally who has been a member and my views are all of my own. The reason negative views are all similar is because these are real things people are all experiencing. Also to the people saying it doesn’t matter if the person behind the business is ‘marmite’, verbally abusing and bullying paying customers is not being ‘marmite’. I felt scared to comment in the acedemy for 10 weeks out of 16 of the plan due to this
