After a frustrating experience with a battery that I could not make work, to use on a recliner , I finally was connected to Cherise Sambel, who did her best to help me on line to make sure that it was not "operator error", but finally sent me a replacement which immediately worked and solved my issue. Edit: I’m amending this review with updates reflecting the current situation.
I ordered a loveseat, which is two matching seats. What they sent me was two different seats: same overall design, but different leather and different electronics. I originally gave a high review because they seemingly took care of it, but it actually resulted in failure.
I waited a month for the replacement seat. What showed up was the exact same seat, so I’m still stuck with a mismatched loveseat, where the left and right aren’t the same. That’s not what I paid for.
I emailed them and said that at this point, I want to arrange for a return and refund. On Monday morning, they told me they’d call in a few minutes; they did not call. On Tuesday morning, they again said they’d call me that day; they did not call. They don’t seem willing to conduct the RMA over email and they clearly not prioritizing making this right, so now I had to dispute the entire transaction on via American Express.
It seems like they’ll happily take your money, but don’t care to follow through with their promises and obligations.
Simply put, I’ve been patient and I’ve given them multiple chances, and yet, I’m still without the thing that I paid for.
Unless Theater Seat Store rectifies this situation before American Express does, then I strongly suggest avoiding this company at all costs. They will sweet talk you, but at the end of the day, they seem to sleep well while ripping people off.
The following is my original review:
I had a weird situation with my order. Cherise has been extremely patient with me, and I’m kind of a pain, so that alone is worth 5 stars.
But wait, there’s more.
She has consistently answered my emails and calls, even going out of her way to make sure to loop me in during business hours when there was a phone and internet outage! She has alleviated all stress and completely rectified the situation with my brand new Octane seats.
It truly has been a pleasure working with Cherise to figure this out, from initial phone call of me not knowing my right from left, all the way to the final resolution of replacing one of my seats, all while putting a smile on my face.
The only remaining issue is that I’m limited to awarding only 5 stars, but 6 is really warranted.
Bravo. I wish everyone cared this much.
CHRISTINA DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS
To be honest, Christina deserves more than 5 stars.
I ordered an Octane seating setup online, originally ordering the straight configuration. After placing the order I saw that the same setup was available in a curved configuration. I called the general customer service line and got Christina. Christina knew everything about the Octane line and quickly got my order adjusted.
Additionally, she managed the swap between the straight and curved pieces and arranged the additional delivery and pickup of the straight pieces.
Christina is truly exceptional, I can’t thank her enough.
