Very clean and well equipped. A relaxing and restful atmosphere. Would definitely revisit. Great location. Lots of wildlife to enjoy.

I recently stayed at "Exmoor View", a wonderful bungalow offering a well-appointed and perfect base for exploring east Exmoor, set in a beautiful and peaceful location. I found the hosts very welcoming and accommodating and I would definitely return to stay again. Thank you so much.

This cottage is full of everything you can ever need away from home. It was clean and tidy and the quality of the bedding/towels was so soft and fresh and the beds so comfy. . The outside space enabled us to listen to the birds amoungst the trees while sipping wine! Parking opposite was spacious and once you master the lock on the front door, you're in! It felt safe and cosy and we loved it.
The walk to Porlock weir was amazing and the coffee shop in the weir perfect. Don't forget to walk up the hill past the cottage - to the right - as it has some fabulous views and you can hear the water flowing from all areas. I'd never been to part of Somerset before but highly recommend it. We walked miles and explored the whole area only taking the car out once.

Best of Exmoor is a lovely company to deal with. They are a small business and know the area well, and are keen to help in whatever way they can. This year was our fourth stay at Ball Cottage and proved just as delightful as ever. The cottage combines old world charm with modern comforts and conveniences, with many thoughtful touches. The riverside garden is a lovely place to relax on a sunny day and the nearby walks and access to the joys of Exmoor make it a great location. Winsford is a great little village with an excellent pub. We also enjoyed trips to the coast, various excellent tea rooms, and a trip to Knighthayes (NT property.)

House was great with everything you need. Clean, comfy beds, good kitchen, great views, and plenty of space. Lovely area.

We so enjoyed this cosy, beautifully decorated and charming cottage. Lots of welcoming little touches, and a very well equiped kitchen. We also loved the fabulous collection of books with many childhood classics - almost a shame we had amazing weather, so out all day and little time to read...

Beautiful location, wonderful cottage, very pleasant hosts - perfect for a break. And even a local shop close by to save the day.

We stayed at Handley Farm, a beautiful location, utterly relaxing, great fun interacting with the farm animals and a friendly helpful host. We loved it

The location is amazing, the property has a lovely outdoor seating area and garden that can be used, It overlooks the sea and is extremely quite.
The local village has varies shops and a couple of pubs, It is also just under a 20 minute driver from Minehead.

Lovely stay in fabulous cottage with comfortable beds, great location. Provisions also appreciated. As a Dunster native, good to talk to owner Rachel. Both she and The Best of Exmoor site were most helpful. Three of us stayed five nights and couldn't have asked for more. Roma (not Sylvia).

Everything you need for the perfect stay on Exmoor, charming, comfortable, peaceful, well equipped, and a great location.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend at whitley farm it is agreat place for larger groups to get together it has three lovely bathrooms a large lounge and a super country style kitchen along with the peaceful surroundings an ideal place for everyone

What a delightful area! We loved our stay at Robins Brook. The garden was a lovely surprise and we ate dinner outside surrounded by the blossom trees!
The beds were super comfy.
It was perfect for our weekend - hiking the Coleridge Way. We would stay again.

The Best of Exmoor are definitely meeting extremely high standards. They choose wonderful Cottages in prime locations across Exmoor. Our Cottage Dashel set in a delightful peaceful location.Bird Song Cows Mooing and sheep bleating how blissfully idyllic to enjoy whilst relaxing in the garden.

Excellent stay in this lovely cottage. Great accommodation and the large secure garden was a bonus, enjoyed by our dog.

Very good location with lots of places to visit.

This property is in a very quiet location in the countryside but right next to the farmhouse. The owners are most welcoming and very helpful. There are views of the hills from the windows and a small seating area outside and a grassed area which could be used. Parking is very close. The cottage is tastefully decorated and quite spacious and comfortable for four people. The food items provided as a welcome were very generous and the towels and bed linen etc very good.
The only small problem we had was due to two of our party doing a lot of running and walking on the moors whatever the weather and this required more hot showers and using up all the hot water but this didn't spoil our overall experience and we would confidently book this property again

This cottage is situated perfectly for many walks without using a car. If you are self-catering you can stock-up from the village, about 15 minutes'walk/5 minutes by car where there is also a useful cash-point. The cottage was perfect and so was the weather. If the weather had been wet the cottage was well able to cope with a wet dog!

We had a lovely family holiday in Elthorne . A real treat when we arrived to fresh bread, milk and conserves. House was very comfortable, beautiful garden ( steep) stunning sea views from almost every window. We would definitely visit again.

We have been coming to Porlock for a while now, stopping at other holiday options. We weren't aware of Coachmans Cottage until recently and decided to try it out. It is an excellent place to stay. Fully fitted out with everything and anything that you might need, it is very comfortably and tastefully furnished. Very spacious interior with a good sized lounge, dining kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The little annex area next to the bedroom was a great add on for keeping suitcase and bags. The outside walled yard area also nice for sitting out in. At the rear is the beautiful orchard with wooded area at the rear of that, with birdsong resounding (it was Spring when we stayed). Easy access direct to the beach via a path a few minutes walk from the property and plenty of other walks direct from the rear of the property. Heating at the cottage was very efficient and it was easy to turn it off and on manually. The owner, David, came to welcome us as well as saying goodbye. Other than that, there was total privacy and relative seclusion to blow the cobwebs away. We loved it. Definitely somewhere to revisit
