The Brief is an AI-powered marketing platform and creative sidekick that helps brands create, launch, and optimize digital campaigns at scale. Today’s marketing teams are under constant pressure to deliver more personalized ads, keep up with performance data, and launch faster across multiple channels. The Brief makes that possible by combining AI-driven creative automation with a continuous optimization loop, so every campaign becomes smarter and more effective over time. At the heart of The Brief are four intelligent agents that collaborate like an extension of your team: The Create Agent generates on-brand ad variations and personalized assets in minutes, ensuring consistency across formats and platforms. The Inspire Agent delivers fresh ideas, creative trends, and insights that keep campaigns relevant and competitive. The Launch Agent seamlessly publishes ads across social media, display, and programmatic channels, saving hours of manual work. The Optimize Agent tracks campaign performance in real time, surfaces actionable insights, and feeds them back into the creative process. This closed-loop system of creation and optimization transforms data into direction, helping teams refine targeting, scale content production, and continuously improve campaign results. By eliminating repetitive design tasks and providing actionable performance insights, The Brief empowers marketers to focus on strategy, storytelling, and growth. With industry benchmarks like the U.S. display ad clickthrough rate averaging less than 1%, brands need an edge to break through the noise. The Brief gives marketers that advantage by ensuring every campaign learns, adapts, and performs better than the last. Whether you’re running social ads, programmatic campaigns, or display advertising, The Brief streamlines the process from start to finish—making it the go-to AI marketing platform for creative teams that want speed, scalability, and smarter results.

I'm not happy with creatopy
I'm not happy with creatopy, when delivering ads to my business partners in Europe and Asia, I am constantly having to adjust the html file manually in order to meet google ads standards. that is to say that creatopy does not export ads that can be used for google ads, there are missing html elements. like the exit api script, sometimes ad dimensions are not clear in the html. Its not a good experience.
Sometimes within creatopy while using the embed code widget, when I'm inside editing one of the sizes, soon as I exit out, I loose all my code in the widget! Its horrifying.

The Brief is a Great Banner Ad Tool
We've used The Brief (Creatopy) for 4 years now, and it's an invaluable tool for creating our clients' animated banners. The process of creating and editing across multiple sizes simultaneously is very user-friendly, and staff is always eager to troubleshoot any formatting or display issues via chat.

Creating display ads in different…
Creating display ads in different sizes, using different slides is infuriating. Once one layer is changed the entire series is changes. Different size ads need different size images and there is no way to "resize" a photo if the original orientation is not correct. I think creating display ads using AI would work if you only used Text and Icons or other graphic elements that can resize easily, but it you're creating an ad using different images, it does not work well at all.

Disappointing shift in priorities
TheBrief.ai has unfortunately moved in the wrong direction. They've added AI features that are both more expensive and lower quality than what's available elsewhere.
What's most frustrating is that their core strength - Creatopy and creative automation in Ad Studio - has clearly become a background priority. These were the features that gave them a competitive advantage.
The AI agents run in the background with fixed settings and can't be customized, making them impractical for agency or client-specific needs. When you're paying for a professional tool, you need flexibility, not rigid low quality automation.

The Brief is worse than Creatopy
The Brief is way worse than Creatopy. Much slower, has the same layer and grouping issues, and logs my team out of open tabs constantly. The second a better option pops up- we are jumping ship. It's been messy for months with no change besides negative. It feels like they spent all of their money on the rebrand instead of fixing the actual product that customers have been complaining about. And rebrand? For what? For who? The customers you piss off? Polish a turd it's still a turd.

Having used Creatopy for years creating thousands of ads I was totally mystified by the added complexity and total lack of human engineering in the new platform. Tasks that used to be simple are now overly complex and time consuming with no discernable benefit.

Horrible Customer Service - We were scammed
As an agency, we have been a creatopy customer for many, many years (since 2001!) They recently convinced us to upgrade our account and then we discovered we no longer have unlimited downloads - we went from $50 a month with unlimited downloads to $300 a month with very few downloads and then they quoted us more than $1,000 A MONTH for the number of downloads we need/have always had (after we were previously getting it for $50/month). We're done. Absolutely disgusted.

I tried to cancel my subscription for 6 months before finally getting a response. To their credit, the company refunded the 6 months fees.

Creatopy and never ending bugs...
I've been using Bannersnack (which was great) now Creatopy for a few years and am struggling! I can only use in the google chrome incognito window for fonts to work properly, and even then it takes a couple of seconds when starting the animation. Viewer's on other browsers complain as they don't see what I see. Never had these problems when Bannersnack. I've had many help me conversations and they say they are working on the bugs.

Creatopy = disaster
I've been using Bannersnack since 2019 and it's been really great software. In ~2021 they created a new tool called Creatopy. It is a completely different software, which I was forcibly transferred to in November 2022. As I see many of the high rated reviews in Trustpilot also mention Bannersnack not Creatopy. The developers apparently just "renamed" the software in Trustpilot. As for Creatopy, it is a real nightmare. Bugs at every step, an exceptionally awkward interface, unsolved reported issues. I would strongly suggest to everyone not to be fooled by these good ratings, because the ratings here are not for Creatopy but for Bannersnack. And to the developers, I just wish they would admit that they have completely screwed up and bring back the old good Bannersnack, at least until Creatopy is ready for use.

Stay away from this "free trial" I canceled it immediately and I was still charged $200. Their site states they cannot authorize refunds and I haven't received any support request response but I'll be reporting them to my bank. Their site doesn't work or load properly, super glitchy, and I can't use the service as advertised to create animated gifs easily. Shady company! It's basically canva and they want $200 for it!

Worst Customer Service Team
The actual Creatopy product is good. My team and I like it a lot. That's why I gave 2 stars instead of no stars. The product alone is worthy of a 4 out of 5. It's not without it's flaws, but overall it's very good.
But where it suffers is the customer service experience. The only option they offer you is the "live chat" text bubble, which is hardly live. It takes long periods of time, hours, even days at some points of the week to hear back from anyone. The people on the chat aren't actual techs, so they can't help, they just divert all your questions to the tech team and act as some kind of ineffective middleman. Meanwhile, there's no way to contact the tech's directly. I did battle with them for three days over the chat window, which on the phone would have been a 5-10 minute call. In the end, I lost, all my work was deleted in their weird Pyramid Scheme setup. I know bad customer service, trust me, I had Comcast for 9 years. But at least there I could eventually get someone on the phone to yell at.

Issue quickly resolved.
I recently had an issue with a payment going out of my account after I had cancelled my subscription. I had tried to contact the customer support via email but I didn't get a response. I reached out via Facebook chat and they were really quick at getting back to me and getting the payment issue resolved.

Fantastic application. I was a little intimidated by the interface at first, but it is so much easier than I thought. Now I can make a banner/add pretty quickly.
