Norwich Branch: My first time going to the Cornish Bakery, the Shakshuka Croissant was lovely and so was the coffee (latte). However, I found the customer service let my experience down. Queued at 8:3... See more

Cornish Bakery in Long Eaton
Cornish Bakery in Long Eaton. I was Gobsmacked by the Price of a Sausage Cob, £4.25, the Sausage was burnt and not good quality, I had a piece of Carrot cake £2.75 which again was not good quality, such false Economy, I know things have increased in price but I would expect a decent quality product, TERRIBLE, can’t believe there were so many in the Shop, my taste Buds must be too Sensitive or something? 1st and last time I will be going!!

Stale atmosphere and stale " pasty and pastry " Wow what an overpriced shambles of a place. Far better places in Plymouth to go to. Waste of time and money. Don't bother.
Just bought and threw away a carrot…
Just bought and threw away a carrot cake and a feta/onion tart bought at the Hastings Old Town branch. The assistant put the, in a bag to take away but when I opened the bags the Carrot cake had discoloured icing covering on 2/3rds of the cake and the Feta tart was mostly uncooked pastry. I will avoid in the future.
It was okay
We visited the Norwich store. It was all okay, we had 2 different pasty’s and a coffee, both were okay but nothing impressive and the coffee was very bitter/burnt tasting.
The shop itself was nice, spacious and clean and the staff were nice but not very chatty.
Overall it was okay, but we probably won’t come back.
Very poor for dietary requirements
Very poor for dietary requirements. The only thing that was Gluten free, apart from salad, was the tortilla and the ubiquitous chocolate Brownie. When I think.of how many different bakeries/pasty shops in Cornwall have a Gluten free pasty option there is absolutely no excuse for this nationwide chain not to provide one. Won't be bothering to visit my local one in Salisbury-if they can't cater for people like me then they don't need my money!
What a wonderful bakery
What a wonderful bakery. The atmosphere, assortment both sweet and savoury is excellent. I had the joy to eat the Cherry and almond croissant …absolute perfection. Everyone so helpful , fabulous atmosphere:)
Avoid cashless company
After someone said they are a lovely business with great food I went to check them out only to find out that after I tried to pay they refuse cash. Told them I got the right change. Still a big no so left everything on the counter and told them why I was leaving and left. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM

Wow what can I say. What a lovely place, a lovely choice of pastries, staff very warm and welcoming, was served by Louise, nothing was too much trouble. We had the croissants. They were lovely, buttery and not too flaky. We took a couple of the sausage rolls home with us and they were absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, tasty and not too much pastry . When go back into Norwich, we will be definitely heading back in there.

They make the best chia latta with oat milk. The store manager is brilliant and swan making Gordon is a whiz on the coffee machine. With the decor on the coffee. I would highly recommend the gretna store
Cornish Bakery, Totnes
Often use Cornish Bakery cafes while travelling around the UK in my campervan. Recently [15th Sept] while touring Devon stopped off at Totnes Cornish Bakery for afternoon tea. Also bought a pasty to take away for later.....unfortunately on leaving left it in my bag under the table and forgot about it. While waiting for the Dartmouth bus some distance away a chap from your shop [sorry i didn't get your name] amazingly appeared with my bag & the all important pasty.....that's service! Please thank Charlotte & staff for tracking me down and going above the call of duty. It was my second visit of the day as i also called in during the morning....your pasties really are that good. Uncomfortable experience - Bourton on water
Visited Bourton on Water today 2/8. My partner waited outside with our newborn while I negotiated our order, unsure at this stage if we would eat in or take out, it got a little busy all of a sudden, but the friendly staff member remained focused on my order and advised that they had room to seat us inside as there was more available seating to the back, which was well received. After settling up I went out and informed my partner that we were welcome to sit inside with the pram, so she comes in and I wait for the coffees; so far so good. Whilst seated we were approached by a female member of the team who without hesitation proceeded to tell us we could not eat in as we had take away cups and bags with our food, I explained what had happened at the till, she demanded to know if I had paid extra to dine in, I of course didn’t know if the clerk charged me at the till for the pleasure, so I offered to add to a tip jar if he hadn’t, this was not acceptable to her, after I asked her if she’d like us to leave she said yes if it became busy we would have to go. I figured I would sense check myself on the way out, and there was no signage or other indication such a rule existed. I’m no expert in customer service but I wouldn’t expect this type of interaction is acceptable in any hospitality setting.
We were made to feel really uncomfortable while we rushed our lunch to get out of there. The young chaps on the counter were helpful though, I hope their summer job isn’t too toxic!

Gloucester quays
I spend time in the Cornish bakery every week while my daughter attends tutoring. The staff, especially Charlie, are always so welcoming and helpful. They have the best scones I have tasted and I am always buying danishes and sausages rolls for the following day as my children look forward to their Wednesday morning breakfast treats.
Pop in for a drink (:
Lovely waitress and drinks. A dog friendly comfortable shop with great service and food/drinks. Would recommend 💜
