Money taken but no item received after waiting for 2 months already!
I have never ever come across a shop that doesn’t have any idea when their stock will be in, when your order will be processed and their waiting list is months! Not even days and weeks but months!!! As other reviewers mentioned, I have been already waiting 2 months for my MacBook pro to be delivered but still no chance. What is funny is that they charged me like everybody else from the day I placed the order. The customer service is a joke! As others mentioned, the method of communication is only via emails so I have been emailing them to requesting at least a clue of an approximate date for their stock in but their response is we don’t have any idea when the stock will be in!
However, a cancellation is must but a compensation is due as they have been using my money already for 2 months!
Amazing Prices and Early Delivery
Amazing prices and delivery was a week earlier than expected.
Very happy with the service overall.
Great product and amazing price - poor customer service
Great product and amazing price.
However, customer service is poor. I asked them to postpone my delivery (which is a 'service' offered in the FAQs), but they ignored this request. When the laptop arrived, I was on holiday so I asked to have my return period extended, which was declined. Upon reminding them about the fact they ignored my request, they stopped replying.
Fantastic company
Great price, good communication, Macbook arrived sooner than expected, absolutely perfect all round.
All the reviews complaining about a 'scam' and 'not delivering' are not the sharpest tools in the shed. This is almost certainly due to waiting for Apple to ship their new products out and nothing to do with Edustore.
Everything is great
Everything is great, but the customer response is sometimes delayed. Other than that my experience has been great.
Amazing! best value for money, always delivers.
Super quick delivery, product as described. Fantastic! Love my new mac mini.
Excellent service
Excellent service - despatched the same day as ordering! Very impressed.
Ordered an iPad for Christmas in late…
Ordered an iPad for Christmas in late November, but did not expect to receive until 2022 - since the Apple Store people were indicating no deliveries of iPads until late January 2022.
I was delighted to receive my device 0n the 22nd December - no fanfare, no fuss, just delivered.
Well done, EDUstore
Do NOT buy from this company
Yeah, they dangle a nice price in front of you, They also promise 30 day lead time. Turns out they mean 30 WORKING DAYS, so like a month and a half.
Took 1500 quid off of me on 7th November, its now Christmas Eve Eve and nothing. Thats nearly 6 weeks...
When I (yes me) contacted them, got standard "global shortage, Apple let us down etc" email. Why do they not contact me? This was for my son's Christmas and he now won't have it. Most people who order their son's christmas present on the 7th November are seen as well prepared.
Most reputable companies with no idea of their stock position will charge you ON DISPATCH
In short - Do not use this company, do not buy from them. I am likely going to cancel, but will probably raise a dispute through my credit card company first of all just to annoy them
Just as described and quick delivery!
Good service but discount code fails
Good service with prompt delivery but failed to apply the £20 discount code to the order to date despite requests hence 4*
Poor communication, delivery dates unknown
Ordered a MBP 14 26 Nov. Good price, but communication is woeful.
I understand there can be delays in getting hw delivered, but the lack of communication is unacceptable.
Better feedback needs to be provided to those ordering, with clear on-line options (like cancel). The status should be updated, email should be sent out after say 1-2 weeks, and followed up. Customers could be given option to switch to another model variant with more stock (colour, upgraded ram.. etc -- depending on expected availability)
Very very disappointing experience. If no sign soon will likely cancel and won't be heading their way again (at least not unless an item is LITERALLY in stock).
Tread very carefully with this retailer. You get into an impersonal, undefined queue.
Done well against the odds…
Managed to deliver within the suggested timeframe even with global shortages and less than ideal distribution challenges. Excellent service.
Imagine selling a car online and…
Imagine selling a car online and promising to deliver it to the buyer within 30 days, taking the money then after 30 days, when the buyer asks about their car, saying "I don't have your car. I never had your car but if I get your car at some point in the future I'll send it to you till then I'll keep your money.". You'd probably get arrested. This is what Edustore did to me (except Macbook not car).
Excellent service
Excellent service, communication all through the process from ordering until delivery
Zero service.
I don't think I've ever ordered anything with zero indication of how long it'll take to be delivered.
After waiting a month, I got a reply to a question about when my computer would ship, saying they would despatch orders in sequence. I had no idea that their list goes back at least 2 months until I saw other comments here.
The discount is not worth it.
update:
A Month later and they still haven't said what their plans are or expected delivery time might be. They have, not at all reassuringly, removed the computer that I ordered from their website. Woeful lack of service, as before.
Update:
Waited 2 months and was finally sent an email saying they didn't know when they would be able to get stock.
So, my recommendation is that if you want a machine in under 6 months, order somewhere else.
Update:
Now 3 months waiting - no communication aside from the note mentioned above.
Update: now closing in on 6 months.
Update: 6 months and in that time they contacted me once to say they were having stock problems. I see them responding to people here occasionally. You'd think they'd want to contact people to say they are still trying, or how the backlog is going, or offer some sort of compensation.
Waiting near 2 months with no help from support!!!
I ordered the new 16 inch M1 Max MacBook Pro (32gb unified memory, 1TB ssd) on 02/11/2021 with an expected delivery/dispatch time of 36 WORKING days (doesnt specify working days on the site). It is now currently 21/12/2021 (one day off the quoted 36 working day timeframe) and I have not had a single update to even say I wont be getting it on time.
The support email is a joke. They copy and paste the same email as soon as they see "MacBook" in the email. I genuinely wouldnt be surprised if this was a computer generated response at this point. I emailed asking whats going on and will my order be delayed and my email was completely ignored and I was sent the same response as usual.
At this point I've waited near 2 months for my MacBook. If I ordered from anywhere else I would have had it a long time ago. Really not worth the £200-300 savings you are getting. Save yourself the stress and go buy from apple or another reputable retailer.
Im now stuck in a position where I can continue to wait for Edustore HOPEFULLY fulfilling my order or I can cancel, wait 10 WORKING days for a refund, and then order from apple and wait another month to a month and a half...
Will never buy from Edustore again. This has been a horrendous experience.
UPDATE:
I asked for a refund after they told me via the support email that Apple haven't given them a delivery date yet... How a company can quote 36 (working) days when they haven't even got an expected arrival date for stock is beyond me. The only positive thing about my experience is the refund only took 1-2 days to get the money back. I will however be waiting till 20th-27th January to get it from Apple so im still really annoyed.
People saying that others arent the smartest for being annoyed that the macbooks haven't shipped have no idea what everyones mad about. This company quoted 36 days delivery, which turned into 36 working days, which is now according to the edustore support also false as they have no expected date to receive the stock from Apple. If its going to take a long time, just say instead of guessing and disappointing customers.
Apple Macbook Pro 14"
Apple Macbook Pro 14"
Overall, my experience with theEDUstore was great. It was recommended by one of my friends and at the beginning I was nervous for shopping from this website. However, I received my laptop at a very good price in 3 weeks. My communication with the customer service was very good and they responded me quickly, making me relieved during the waiting period. It would be helpful if they could highlight the waiting period for products as uncertainity creates stress.
You’ll wait a while…..If you even get it!
Paid over £2,700 for a MacBook and stayed would be 30 days and now nearly 60 days and still no MacBook and now have to try and get refund a few days before Christmas and they don’t even send you a notification to keep you updated.
One of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with!
Awful Order / Preorder Process
Been waiting for now a month and a half, expected to arrive after 30 days.
Initial communication was poor, taking the money without an expected date for delivery provided, alongside a generic response from customer support that all orders ship out in the order they are placed.
Could really benefit with some communication and transparency.
