We're not like other gyms... We won’t tie you into a contract or charge you a fortune every month. That’s because we believe that fitness should be accessible to everybody, regardless of shape, size, fitness level, background or attitude. We’re for everyone who’s had enough of the unbelievably-expensive-monthly-contract gym, or the make-me-feel-judged-the-moment-I-walk-through-the-door gym. Affordable, high-spec, nationwide gyms, that make absolutely everybody feel welcome. Whatever your starting point, and wherever you want to go, we can help.

Perfect gym
Perfect gym. Plentiful free parking, super-low cost, fantastic equipment, great availability, brilliant free classes, welcoming atmosphere. Well run and 24/7. What more do you want for £20 a month?!

Glenrothes gym don't care 1 bit about you're well being just want to take you're money.my pin hasn't been used for 10 months an not once have they contacted me to even check if I'm OK. All they are interested in is your money.
System not working, but staff is very helpful
The gym itself is well equipped and clean. Can be crowded at times, but it is in the city centre, so it's expected.
I did have some issues with the option to freeze the membership. I was going to spend some time away from the gym, so I froze my membership. Before doing it, I read that I could resume it before the 30 days were up and would be charged a pro rata amount.
When I came back, I couldn't unfreeze my membership. I tried the app and the browser on my laptop, but nothing worked. It was as if the button itself was broken. I tried filling out the contact form on the website, even adding a screen recording of the issue, but my tickets were created and automatically closed. I received a general email with Help Centre articles that I had already read and were of no help. No human read my message. This is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5.
However, when I spoke to actual humans, they were very helpful. I went to the gym (Bristol City Center) and the manager there tried to help me. He couldn't do much as the system wasn't working, but he was very understanding and tried his best. I then called the customer service line and got through to a very nice agent whose name I don't remember (sorry), who helped me unfreeze my membership and took the pro rata payment.
In my opinion, The Gym Group is hiring the right people, but needs to review their online service.
The gym group angel
The gym group angel is poorly managed. The equipment is in poor condition (broken , rusty ) and surely unsafe. The facilities although clean are not great, so many of the lockers are broken. I also Cancelled my membership at the beginning of the month expecting to still have the rest of the month available to me as I had paid. I was informed that it mentions in the fine print that when you cancel it is cancelled immediately! Every other gym I have ever attended honors the rest of your membership. This is shoddy practice and not very consumer friendly. So please be aware of this !
I've been going to the gym group…
I've been going to the gym group sydenham for over 6 years, from ever since it was first open really and I have to say its going down hill. Aside from the gym never being clean, there is now a issue of equipment getting damaged and not being replaced namely the Punch bag there is also not enough dumbbells and when you try and talk to management about the issues they make up excuses and seems not to care or even listen to you concerns. Its really bad there. They're only interested in taking your money every months. I stopped going there and going to another well equipped gym that have better management and more friendly staff members.
Unsafe and poorly managed
An unsafe space with no proper safeguarding practices for women or vulnerable groups.
People repeatedly take up disabled spots they don't have the permits to use. My car was vandalised in the car park and when reported to the gym, the "couldn't care less" response was laughable.
I've seen women yelled at by men, and when reported to staff, they respond, "oh, yeah, that guy causes trouble. I can't kick him out though. Best I can do is let the manager know."
No care for other patrons, care to take your money and maintain an uncomfortable and unsafe environment.
Avoid at all costs.
I have been going to the longwell green…
I have been going to the longwell green gym and it's getting to the stage that I want to cancel and go elsewhere, the gym music is so loud that I can hear it over my headphones and I have them on max because of bad hearing from years ago. Last night I almost walked out because it was so loud and the music is crap and not even motivational. 95% of the people in there have headphones on so don't know why it so loud. If it don't stop I will cancel my membership and find another gym that dont sound like I am in a nightclub. I have been going there now 5yrs and even the place is looking untidy and you don't even see any cleaners there. Not worth the money when I can get it cheaper elsewhere.
Expensive + Bad Equipment + Rude staff = Bad Gym
Equipment is dated and Half of equipment is out of use and creaking. Unhelpful stuck up rude staff and the gym is always warm My whole family has cancelled our memberships from The gym Kilmarnock and are now going to different gym. The prices are so high as well compared to other the gym group gyms. Avoid.

The gym group in Watford it’s amazing spacious and a lovely staff I recommend as my time there goes so well with the friendly staff
Sort the toilets!!
I’m going to keep giving one star reviews till the disgusting toilet bowls in the Gents changing rooms are changed. It’s such a shame because the cleaners keep the place immaculate but are let down by management penny scraping.
Similarly the cross trainers are all knackered and need replacing. I find this annoying as I use them for HIIT regularly.
Moving in to the good stuff, Andrea’s classes are top calibre - she is energetic and enthusiastic and she varies the exercises which is great - shock the body!
Beth is also doing great classes.
The gym space is good with windows all along one side so there’s light and you can look out into winter gardens and in the distance the sea.
Plenty of kit with a large free weights area. Plenty of classes, too.
If they sort the toilets they’ll get five stars

Always a Blast
Today's class was run by a trainer who was efficient and effective covering a full body workout. A patient and skilled trainer who corrected my form when needed. And praise given too! Made my day! I've improved and am delighted with my recent performances.
I've developed my understanding of how to move, using some previous experience for what my body tells me it needs (in a hybrid sense). I'm lifting heavier and am able to reflect over time; whilst using the techniques and advice I've sort after albeit from classes; by observing and asking questions.
Gym Group has given me the confidence and skills to communicate effectively and use my customer service skills to promote a positive and motivational space for its users.
Workout - I check in with myself to ensure I am able to move well as the equipment and space provided means I can sensibly adapt my gym session if I need too.
This gym caters for the community, everyone is welcome. It can get busy at certain times early in the week which may not suit some people who need a specific piece of equipment. Some gym goers may 'max out' and use the equipment poorly, whilst others lead by example, which is always encouraging. It is a friendly gym and the team are always helpful, work hard and respond to any of my suggestions.
Many thanks for this.
Ellen and Gabors impact
Ellen is the heart, smile, and face of The Gym Group Stepney Green. She makes going to the gym something to look forward to, and her classes are a genuine highlight of my week.
Gabor brings an energy that makes The Gym Group feel like a part of my home in London. His incredible work ethic is clear to everyone around him, and what stands out most is how much he genuinely cares about both the gym and the people who use it.
Customer service is awful
Customer service is awful. I tried emailing them using their contact form and I receive an email thanking me for email and my case is now closed. It wasn't even dealt with. Trying to speak on live chat, the agent was pretty useless and couldn't answer my question.
Good gym overall
Good gym overall. Staff are friendly, it’s spacious and has everything you need for a decent workout. Could do with some newer equipment in places, but for the price and 24/7 access it does the job well.
Horrible Internet speeds at this…
Horrible Internet speeds at this location, unable to watch videos on exercise form and app fails to load reliably, and there is hardly any cellular signal. Rehab in this gym is a pain in the arse. Other locations you can get 100Mbps at the gym but this one only 1mbps which is ridiculous.

I require a respone for answering my qurry but they strightly close my qurry with auto respone
Title Terrible Customer Service & Unfair
Title: Terrible Customer Service & Unfair Refund Policy! Avoid This Place!
"I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and the cancellation process at this establishment. I requested a membership cancellation due to medical reasons and provided all the necessary documentation.
However, they are using weak and unacceptable excuses to avoid refunding my money. They claimed my name didn't match perfectly, completely ignoring that my registered email, phone number, date of birth, and membership ID are all identical to the documentation provided. Furthermore, the payment was made directly from my personal bank account, which I offered to prove with a bank statement, but they still refuse to cooperate.
This is a clear attempt to delay and hold onto customers' money unfairly. The staff is unhelpful, and the procedures are designed to complicate refunds rather than help members. I would strongly advise everyone to think twice before joining this place. Their professionalism disappears the moment you ask for a refund!
