FRAUD

Stay far from them if you do not want your money to be stolen.

I place an order and pay 10 pounds for the shipping. Now they tell me that they can only ship to my address for an extra 25 pounds. Otherwise i lose the 10 pounds i already pid for my delivery.

Shame on these people…

Thank you for your review which we take very seriously.

For clarity when you ordered the products you provided an incomplete address.
Your address requires a PO Box number for delivery to Saudi Arabia and this was not provided so therefore Royal Mail rejected your parcel as it could not be delivered and the parcel was returned to us.
As this was a mistake by yourself we offered to either refund your money for the products or resend the order with a tracked service to ensure it reached you. You have rejected both offers.

We are a highly respected company that has delivered thousands of orders over the past 23 years with no issues like this.
To accuse us of fraud is both untrue and libellous and we may well contact our legal department to pursue this accusation further.

We will be more than happy to resolve this amicably should you choose to do so.

Amazing result

Amazing result. I’d used my Michael Kors bag constantly for 7 years. Looks like new. Efficient service. Enquiries answered promptly. Great for the environment and value for money.

Don’t use this company

Terrible. Won’t be using this company ever again. They kept my LV handbag for over 3 months and it’s come back in the same condition as it went. Bad value for money and terrible service.

Thank you for your review.
Your handbag arrived with us in an extremely poor condition with black handles (from body oils) and a damaged base.
You requested a clean and as this was not going to look any better with that limited service we carried out a lot more work for you.
The handles needed many many degreasing processes to remove the built up body oils and grease and then we colour restored the handles back to their original colour.
The rest of the handbag was fully cleaned and conditioned as we quoted for.
To say it does not look any different is really exasperating as the work carried out was so extensive and the black handles have been completely transformed.
Granted this all took longer than we expected but we did inform you of this during the process.

I am very happy with my refurbished bag

I am very happy with both the service and communication I received and with the end result. From the outset of Sarah agreeing the refurb of my very worn Marni bag, the quote and the pickup process everything was personalised and smooth running. The quote was much more affordable than others and reflected the structure of my bag and my expectations rather than pushing for unnecessary elements at added cost. The whole process was quicker than expected and my bag on return looks more or less brand new. I've worn it almost daily for 10+ years and I now feel I will get the same use again, although this time I won't leave it as long before getting it serviced again. It really makes both financial and environmental sense to buy a very good comfortable bag and to get it repaired so that it lasts almost a lifetime if you can find a reliable service like this one.

I contacted THS regarding a handbag I'd had for many years and used every day they asked me to send a photo of it I thought they might reject the challenge as I knew it would be a challenge they came back to me and we made arrangements for the handbag to be sent to them the handbag has been returned to me today its absolutely STUNNING I can't believe it as for the cost of the refurbishment I think it was total value for money thank you very much

THS - Amazing

I had an amazing experience with THS. All communications were answered very quickly, delivery was great from Edinburgh to THS. Sarah and her team have done an amazing job of my handbag and I would 100% recommend going to THS if you are in need of service. My bag looks better than it did when I bought it. The products from THS are also worth buying. Will definitely use again if I need to. Thank You THS!

Good work

Good work, my bag looks new. Vintage mulberry can be worn again. Only critic is communication could be better, it was delayed by a couple of weeks, which I didn't mind, but when you're not told its a worry.

THS magic from Sarah and her team

THS magic from Sarah and her team. Uplift and delivery from Edinburgh by DHL was included in the price, and made the send/return process seamless.
I had a very nasty tear in an expensive leather jacket which THS repaired beyond my best expectations. I would certainly recommend their skill and professionalism. Absolutely first class job.

Fantastic service!

I’m absolutely delighted with the service received from The Handbag Spa.
Communication with Sarah was first class… as was the uplift and delivery service.
I wanted the colour of my Valentino handbag to match sandals perfectly and that’s exactly what they have done.
I’m so happy with the results!

Revamped & now reusable, handbags :)

I sent 2 bags to the Handbag Spa, both have been returned today looking amazing, I'm so pleased with the result and the fact I can now use them again.

Communication throughout by Laila was first class, the collection/delivery service worked a treat.

Totally recommend this company.

Beware - do not part with your money upfront

They charged me upfront (£350) for a service that they quoted me on after seeing my pictures. A couple of days after my Chanel handbag had been with them they decided they then couldn’t do the job they had quoted for, suggested that i let them dye it from red to black which i refused and when i collected my Handbag from them they had the audacity to charge and retain £190 of my money for the privilege of doing absolutely nothing.

Thank you for your reply which was considerably quicker than replying to my emails!! Your reply however does not placate me nor change my opinion of your company. Why on earth would I want to change the colour of an original Chanel handbag? So far as cleaning - the handbag was not dirty in the first place. It would have been a better practice to contact me and say that you could not remove the dye which is what I asked for in the first place and not charge me £190 for cleaning a bag that did not need cleaning. At no point did you say there would be a minimum charge which are the exact words you used to me on collection. As for the bag looking better I have the before and after photos- there is little or no difference. The purpose of this review is to warn any future customers that your payment up front practices and no indication or mention of minimum charges in any correspondence or on your website is not normal. Any minimum charges etc should have been stated beforehand or on your website which they are not and I consider that an unfair practice and any person that’s now reads this review will at least now be aware of this.

Thank you for your review.
Your handbag was sent to us with extreme dye transfer which is what you asked us to remove.
We explained in the estimate that we might not be able to fully remove this and that we recommended a dye to a darker colour.
You insisted you wanted to keep the colour the same so we fully cleaned the handbag for you and did our very best to remove the dye stains.
The cleaning and dye transfer removal considerably improved your handbag but we contacted you to explain that we could not fully remove the dye and due to the nature of the leather it was not possible to restore the colour to the original again so we again offered to change the colour but you did not want to have this done.
You were charged for the work we had carried out (this was not nothing)
Your handbag was fully cleaned and we removed as much of the dye as possible which was a great improvement - this work has to be paid for but you were refunded for the balance that you paid.
Hope this helps you to understand clearer the work we did for you and why you were charged. We cannot do work for nothing but at every stage we explained to you what was happening and why it was not possible to remove it fully.
Dyeing to a darker colour would have solved the problem and we offered to do this at no extra charge.

All handbags are cleaned prior to any work being carried out including dye transfer removal (cleaning is the first stage of this process) and was clearly indicated on your estimate.
It is not possible to state that dye transfer cannot be removed prior to the process with specialist chemicals although we advised you that it may not be possible in your original estimate as we offered you the colour change.
Colour changes (including on Chanel handbags) is something we do very often if they have been damaged in this way by dye transfer to make them useable again.
The charge we made is our standard charge for cleaning and dye transfer removal so is therefore the mimimim we would charge.
Our team worked very hard for several days trying to remove the dye transfer and restore your handbag and we are sorry we did not meet your expectations.

The handbag Spa are excellent at leather restoration, cleaning and protection

Brilliant communication throughout the whole process and overall outstanding service

We just received my daughters handbag today and the scratches were completely removed and the colour match was 100% - she is so pleased because its for her wedding day and wanted it perfect which it now is

I cannot recommend the hand bag spa enough and if you have any kind of issue with handbags or any other leather item then do not hesitate to contact them and I can assure you will receive the best advice and high level workmanship

I have a luxury handbag that's in great…

I have a luxury handbag that's in great condition apart from one small area of damage. A local dry cleaner suggested the Handbag Spa. The response to my enquiry was a rather curt email saying they couldn't help with no explanation. Disappointing.

I am so disappointed that you should choose to leave such a review.
Your handbag was beyond repair as I fully explained in our email conversation and for which you were very grateful.
If repairs had been possible these would have far outweighed the value of the handbag.
A fairly large hole in a lattice work handbag is not something that can be easily fixed as the leather is weak and worn in that area and the whole panel would have had to have been replaced.
Our team receive hundreds of emails every day and always try to take the time to reply to each one but it is not always possible to give anything other than a quick reply.
Sorry you feel this way and sorry we cannot help with your damaged handbag.

Parcel received today, still I don’t recommend buying from this website
It takes almost 2 months to receive the order, and I even have to pay for duties & taxes.
Worst customer experience ever

If you are from Spain DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from these website, I never received my order after more than a month and they don’t provide me with any tracking number and no credit back received regardless of all the emails I’ve been sending them

Unfortunately once shipped the delivery is out of our hands and you will be able to see that your order was dispatched very soon after it was placed so the delivery company is to blame for the poor service and not us.
Duty should not need to be paid on this size order but again we have no control over what individual customs decide to charge and thus us probably the reason it was so held up.
We successfully deliver 1000’s of parcels all over the world without any problem but just occasionally these things happen and we helped as much as we could with your queries.
We pride ourselves on good Customer Service to all our customers.

If the undelivered parcel is returned to us (they all carry our return address) we will happily refund your money.

Excellent

I have just received back my Gucci bag repaired and I could not be more delighted. It is a fabric bag and the fabric had gone wrinkly after being stored in a damp place. It is now perfect.
The service is excellent and I thoroughly recommend this company.

Awful, awful awful! Rude staff. Rubbish outcome. totally regret sending my mulberry…

I totally regret sending my mulberry bag here!
They have ruined my bag and I would hate for anybody to use this service.

They had my bag for over a year in total.

The straps were clued to the D rings.
Splashes of black paint on the tan paint of the body
The piping on the bag was messy and uneven
Finger prints of paint on the inside of the bag.

They have had 3 chances where my bag has gone back and forth and apparently been checked by the owner before sending out. They even told me the person who repaired my bag the first time was let go because of it.

They are all rude, unapproachable and crooks.
I’m surprised this business is still going.

I left a review on their Facebook and they deleted the comment and banned me from commenting (after leaving a nasty personal reply) I just wish I looked at Google reviews first before and not just the ones they control.
Upon speaking to so many other people in forums, it seems as though these people have been taken to small claims a number of times for shoddy work.

I hope nobody uses them

Heartbroken with my bag and their lack of care.

I have hundred of emails and photos back and forth if anyone would want to see them before you even think of sending this bag here.

We always try to work to a very high standard on damaged handbags (please remember these are already damaged when we get them as was the case with yours)

Unfortunately our high level of work did not reach your expectations and your complaint to us was extremely difficult to deal with along with your comments on social media. Please remember our staff are human beings too.

We eventually paid for a replacement strap from Mulberry in order to meet your expectations that your handbag would be brand new when it was returned to you and you accepted this as full and final settlement.

We are sorry that you feel the need to review this after 2 years and can assure anyone reading your review that we are still very much in business and working to an extremely high standard restoring damaged handbags successfully.
We also now train Mulberry staff to repair handbags.
