Initially one plant in my order was wrong when delivered. The customer service was very prompt and they even let me keep the original plant as well as the replacement. All the plants are also in great shape and are really good quality. I will be using Stem going forward!

Very small plant came in a very large box which led to plant being buffeted around inside the box and by time it arrived to us most of the soil was out of the pot and on the bottom of the box

I've ordered from the Stem three times now. While the delivery times are not the fastest, I have found them reliable once set (and the packaging fantastic - no plastic in sight apart from the nursery pots). Most importantly the plants have all been lush and healthy and look fabulous.

I have tried online plant stores in the past and after a few disappointing purchases I decided to never buy plants online again. The plants I’ve ordered were either half dead on arrival or died shortly after.
But some plants are hard to find in the physical stores so after coming across The Stem I have decided to give it one last try. And my oh my I am so happy I did. The plant arrived much bigger/taller than expected, so healthy and well packaged. It was in transit less than 24 hours, I honestly am over the moon. I have ordered Bird of Paradise and the plant has exceeded my expectations. I will order from there again and again. Well done The Stem ❤️

I placed an order for a Pink Moth Orchid and was offered a next available delivery date of 10 days later. The day before scheduled delivery (around an hour before close of UK office hours) I was contacted to say that unfortunately the last Pink Moth Orchid was not 'happy' enough to be sent out and they would substitute a White Moth Orchid instead. I only saw the email after my commute home from work. The company didn't even leave me enough time to reply that their substitute was unacceptable. Here I am on the evening before delivery is due desperately trying to save them the hassle of delivering a product I did not purchase, and do not want. I only hope they will refund my money.

Edit: I would like to update my original rating from one to three stars, to be fair and balanced. The company got quite a lot wrong in terms of assuming that packing a substitute of a different colour would be ok without first getting consent from the customer, and in terms of sending out delivery notifications after agreeing a cancellation and full refund of the order, and furthermore telling me that they would have happily sent my original item when they got more stock (Why didn't you give me this option before jumping the gun in your communication straight to the announcement that you were packing me a substitute without ascertaining whether this was okay with me?)...however, they did respond swiftly to my written complaint and negative review, and also refunded me in full. I did achieve plant happiness, though not through this company, as I found something similar but nicer than the product I originally purchased from The Stem for less than half the price elsewhere! I wish you well with your business and commend you for the things you got right.

First time buying a plant online and could not have been more perfect. Purchased a large form monstera deliciosa and it was dispatched within 2 days. Unfortunately, there was a delay with delivery (this was not The Stem’s fault, it was the delivery company) and my plant ended up arriving 6 days after dispatch. I was contacting James during this time and he said it should be fine, but was reassuring that they would sort any issues if it did not arrive as desired. It did, however, arrive in absolute perfect condition with three leaves completely undamaged! The packing was excellent - a tall box with the plant tied to a pole to help keep it safe. It was also wrapped in beautiful paper packaging which could be used if it was a gift. Would definitely buy from here again!

My order was processed very quickly so I didn’t have to be impatient! When the plants arrived the packaging was eco-friendly and beautiful presented. Then the plants themselves are healthy and are already looking strong and happy in my home. Thank you - i’m already planning my next purchase!
