Con artists

Con artists, did my 2 and 3 with them and got as far as all my work being boxed off at the end of 3 and due to circumstances I wasn’t able to take my exams in the time frame of the time given. When I went back to them a little while later I asked them if I could take the exams at the cost of the exam papers and they where adamant I had to resit the course again so I accepted that until my course tutor counsulted with my old one and it turned out I didn’t have to take the course again and now they want the cost of a course again off me without me having to resit it and I never did. I’ve been advised by legal council not to pay them due to the contract that I signed being null and void legally. A bit long winded but avoid them by all means. This is ongoing

I wouldn’t even give this company a star, I had to select one to enable me to write. Absolutely don’t go near them, you are much better going to a reputable company or doing this through a local gym.

Disappointing Experience with The…

Disappointing Experience with The Training Room

I have had a very disappointing experience with The Training Room team and tutors. During my first year of study, the online platform was frequently undergoing maintenance, which greatly hindered my progress. Later, the platform was switched to a subscription-based Google Workspace, a change I did not fully understand due to the lack of clear communication and the frequent changes in tutors.

I only gained access to the lessons after paying for the Google Workspace subscription, which I find unfair considering I had already paid for the course itself. Now, they are refusing to extend my course, and I have only three weeks left to complete everything. This is particularly frustrating as the Equal platform indicates that I have already passed Levels 2 and 3 of the course.

This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing, and I do not feel that I have received the level of support or clarity I should have as a paying student.
I want my money back!!!!
I'll never recommend this curse.

What a disgraceful company(on going issues)

"Be aware with any qualifications or certificates you receive from them, as they ain't worth the paper they're written on. Oh, and please keep watching—you will all see the same generic response they give to everyone. Another copy-and-paste job. It really shows the high standards of the company when they can't even be bothered to respond with a proper reply and resort to a copy-and-paste job 🤣. I'm still disgusted that I'm having to pay for a course that was full of lies—lie after lie—and a company that couldn't give a damn. I 100% guarantee you can find the course they offer and all the same documents online for free."

NEVER USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

"I am extremely dissatisfied with the services I received from The Training Room. As a full-time military professional, I was unable to complete the course within the given timeframe due to my demanding schedule. Despite having already paid for the course, I was not allowed to continue my studies. When I applied for an extension, instead of offering flexibility or support, they demanded additional fees.

I am not only angry but also massively out of pocket as a result. Given my commitment to serving in the military, I would have expected more understanding and flexibility from The Training Room. The lack of consideration for my situation and the insistence on charging extra is frustrating and unacceptable. To add insult to injury, they are now denying my Level 2 certificate unless I pay a further £200. When I requested a detailed breakdown of the additional £500 fee, they refused.

I will not be using this company ever again and cannot recommend their services to anyone, especially those with unpredictable schedules like mine."

Considering the inconvenience and lack of organisation, you'll have a better time elsewhere

Alright, level 2 fitness instructor no complaints other than the fact during covid you had to find your own gym to the assessment and that career advisor isn't the best. Level 3 PT took ages to get my coursework marked and the tutor Luke Crossley sent me an email with the 'you shoulda been earlier' crap, listen I paid for it so it shoulda been marked. Level 4 S&C is extremely long winded and inconvenient, I complete coursework and am ready for workshops, ask for them at the beginning of July and at the end, and find out that the next workshop is outside of my package expiration, albeit not too far off now, so they shoulda just let me have it but I guess business policies are fixed, even though one month extension wouldn't hurt anyone.

It's funny as well because I remember asking the course advisor for completely remote courses for all of them and he never said that level 4 s&c requires me to attend a facility in Stockwell after 2 coursework pieces that are lengthy.

My advice, for level 2 and 3 I guess the place is okay, not exceptional.

For a level 4 s&c course look online, you'll have more convenience and less pressure.

Scam business

Scam business. They are in administration. Do not purchase any courses from them. You will be scammed. Appalling treatment from them. No support from tutors. Claiming that they will treat new students better. Why would anyone want to buy courses from a company that has no ethics.

I lost my father and got kicked off the course as I refused to pay £500 for extension

I lost my father. This made me take longer to complete my course which I had nearly completed. I probably needed 1 more month, just to be on the safe side. They proceeded to ask me for £500 pounds to extend the course which I have already paid close to £2000 pounds for. This entire experience has proved to me that the personal training/gym industry is a complete scam. I’ve been on my own fitness journey for the last 10 years. All of my knowledge that I have gained has come from my own learning. Nothing to do with the training room course. If you do this course it doesn’t mean you’re qualified to be a personal trainer in my opinion. As you need to actually know how to build muscle and get fit practically. Just doing this course alone will not do that. It will allow you to get a job in a gym and that’s all these courses are created for. It’s a money making scam. They don’t actually care about how passionate people are about helping people improve their lives through the power of health and fitness. (Which I am) Because if they did they would have had some understanding and would let me complete my course without extra charges. It sickens and saddens me that company’s like this exist. I’m not surprised they went into administration as the people who run the training room are all in on the scam together. So you can’t get any sense out of any of them. One big money making scam. Just another institution set up to con people. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure you can learn something from the course as there is a lot of good scientific content but as I stated previously unless you have already a sound understanding of building muscle,fitness and nutrition you’ll be lost. The tutors will not answer any queries you have and if you question their practices they’ll shut you down and threaten to boot you off the course. This happened to me several times and they eventually did boot me off the course due to me sending angry emails in regards to them charging me extra to finish the course. Even through I explained my terrible circumstances (losing my father) which made me bed ridden for 3 months. The only reason I even wanted to complete the course is so my money wasn’t wasted. I work in a gym and I got my job on the provision I will be completing my level 3. The training room were also made aware of this. The training room are scum bags. The people who work there have no morals and in my opinion are proof that evil exists. Whatever you do steer clear of this company. Use a company that does in person teaching. I will be taking them to court. I will not let company’s like this bully people to make money. And I see on the responses to some of these other bad reviews with similar experiences to mine. It’s all the same people there’s not been a change in management. Learn direct took over from some people but the original incompetent, ignorant, useless staff are still there doing absolutely F all apart from try scam people. It’s true what these other reviews are saying about no support. God knows how they’ve got any good reviews. They cannot do anything nor would I imagine they even care about how they’ve made people to feel through the uselessness of there practices. It’s very strange that people like this exist in this world. I certainly hope they don’t have children as we don’t need more people like this in the world.

Absolutely disgusting, scammed single mother of 5 out of two grand !!! …

I started my course for teaching assistant and signed up for 4 courses over a 3 year period, paying monthly £65, costing £2000+all in all. as a single mother of 5 trying to better herself, after the first 4/5 months of handing coursework in on time the tutor starting getting later and later in marking the assignments, and sending some back with the same response on each with no actual help or guidance. Leaving me stumped.
As my first year ended I had only two out of around 12 assignments left to do but had to wait for my last assignment to be marked that I had re done 3 times due to lack of help. I finally finished the last two sending them in a week later than set period end date due to tutor marking my work past the set times. To get told I was no longer aloud to do any courses that I had been booked on for as I had gone past my date of 12 months and not completed, But still had to pay remaining monies. So for the past two years I have been paying off £2000+ with nothing to show for it. This all coincidences with the company going in to liquidation and stoping all courses that was not PT related. Coincidence, I think not. Complete scam and they should be disguised in themselves taking that amount of money from a struggling single mother who was only trying to better herself for her children.

Laughable, Sorry excuse for a teaching platform. Go anywhere else.

This company is not a scam as others have been saying. Though they absolutely are a terrible choice for anyone wishing to pursue academia and are hoping for proper teaching support. My son has bad learning difficulties and we were told we could pay extra for extra learning support. We received absolutely zero extra support, and the tutor assigned was confused as what extra help would be needed, and the company refused to change the tutor after repeated issues with the tutor's communication. The tutor's are reactive at best, take the most bare minimalist approach to everything. They are downright negligent with their duties and the amount of times I had to keep using email evidence to prove that my son's tutor was being negligent and taking weeks if not months to respond to emails was absurd but the tutors are never reprimanded and never step their game up. The tutors and customer service rep are friends and make sure to cover eachother's back so if you do have complaints, they will be sure to mitigate it for themselves so they do not have to take any action and you do not get any proper help. The customer service was not only unhelpful but was laughably incompetent, bad spelling errors and condescending and disrespectful approach to students requiring help.

There are many other companies you can use for exactly the same thing this one does, but the other's seem not only more professional, but are far more trustworthy and caring than this laughable excuse for a teaching platform.

As of course the response to this feedback was absolutely soulless copy pasted customer support trying to save face. New students should absolutely stay away from this company. YOU WILL BE BADLY LOOKED AFTER. YOU DO NOT MATTER ONLY YOUR MONEY MATTERS.

The price tag: £1,600.
The promise: Lv.2&3 P.T Certificate, 3 years employment support, CPD mini-qualifications.

Started at the beginning of 2022...

The experience:
Denial of employment support due to company going into administration.

Refused CPD opportunity as a result of being mislead, I was told I'd have access at the end of Lv. 3, as it turned out, I should have been given access at the end of Lv. 2.

It took me 9 months in total to complete the courses, however, my tutor was let go and I was E-mailing a dead account for the best part of 3 months (as we were told to wait xx days for reaponses), before I contacted customer services, a new tutor then E-mailed me claiming they'd been trying to contact me and had previously requested access to Google Drive folders (despite no prompts appearing previously, as the course was done through the website and Google drive).
From that point, I rarely received replies or portfolio updates from my tutor until I'd contacted customer services.
I was taken right up to the absolute last minute in order to have my work marked and pass the course, and I was once again only given this information after contacting customer services to ascertain the status of my course, as the portfolio had been sitting unmarked for over a month, with no response to my E-mails.

I've now to wait up to 3 months to potentially receive my certificates and quite honestly given the absolute nightmare this experience has been, I wonder if I'll even receive them.

What I received; A provisional letter stating that I've passed Lv.2&3, and a 3 month wait to - maybe - receive my certificates, 15 wasted months awaiting tutor responses, no career support and no CPD qualifications due to being given erroneous I formation.

I'd strongly suggest others seek out local collages to pursue such qualifications.
Not only will it be much cheaper, but you'll have consistent tutor support and feedback.

This company doesn’t support students

I purchased my course in 2021 & this company have still
not chosen to register me as a student with ActiveIQ, I have requested this week and they refuse to do so.
They refuse to support me, they are dragging their heels with marking my work.
The training rooms TTR PT LIMITED went into administration and as a student who purchased an overpriced course from them before the administration process, I am experiencing the utmost contempt and lack of support, particularly from
Jo Hanstead, who calls her role ‘customer service.’
The course and structure I purchased no longer exists, it was gave to face & now it’s not. But they choose to ignore this fact.
Don’t waste your time emailing them, they truly do not care, escalate at the earliest opportunity.
I will update and document all
escalation in this review at every step whilst I waste my time and life fighting with an unprofessional unworthy team that should not be involved in training.
Paid £1295 I want to progress and I am prevented from doing so.

They are a BIG SCAM

They are a BIG SCAM. They would promise you personal support but when you encounter issues, they would ask you to contact Ucertify. I have asked them on several occasions why do I have to be the one contacting ucertify when I clearly bought the course from you. Courses are copy and paste from other sources and their customer service is zero, they have no interest in how their customer feels, but would claim they have told you what to do and you refused to. Very frustrating to deal with!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY!

Awful company, outsourcing learning and hands-off tutoring

I found a advertisement back in March 2020 for IT courses on Indeed/CV Library. Originally I thought it was like an internship or apprenticeship to get into my desired career. I was urged repeatedly after I reached out to them online via phone by a sales man wanting me to sign up and saying the price would increase if I didn't pay the day he contacted me, saying that my current methods of learning weren't by international bodies for official qualifications. I ultimately succumbed because I also spoke to CV Library about the legitimacy and they said they're trusted. It all went downhill from there. Tutors I had were very hands off, the courses used uCertify with inflated prices when the books they've ripped from is a fraction of the price. I unfortunately had a rough 3-4 years due to Post-COVID symptoms, poor health, depression from work and now redundancy. Although I had completed my courses, I didn't get to reach out for career support, I managed to get an extension but ultimately am not honored the support even on a minimal basis to manage myself. Especially now when I acknowledge this to their customer support but wish for the affiliated companies names to approach them for a potential positions with them (they only wish to help job search but this was only for a set amount of time not when I needed it). The Training Room is treating me like I never associated with them (paid over £2,000 (ignoring extension fees) when the books and exam vouchers would be around £800-£900 or so, having bought the books and seen pricing as you weren't entitled to keeping the content when uCertify's course time limit expired). They've rebranded, no longer offering courses for other sectors but Gym/training/fitness. They originally wanted me to review them early to continue falsifying their positive track record on Trustpilot. Avoid this company, if they offer you courses there are most likely better options to get that qualification then through them and other organisations who operate similarly by utilizing outsourcing learning not through them, especially if the trainers/tutors constantly leave their company and are hands off (studied alone and the course supplements to help learn were mediocre), especially when requesting additional support. The staff and tutors only check in to mention the time limit of the scheme they organise and hide behind. I would of gotten the same results having spent less and not dealing with this additional headache and heartache with an organisation applying shady sale tactics and poor overall customer support.

We were disappointed to read this feedback. As you are aware, TTR went into administration in November 2022, and its subsequent rescue and change in management means that unfortunately, any previous learners cannot be supported by the new TTR team.

However we can assure any new learners enrolling on our courses that they will receive the highest standard of tutor support, and customer service, from our new team.
