poor policies that only created to steal your money. No good network. and cuctomer care service doesnt help at all.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I have 5G and the internet speed is 0.4 MBPS. It's been like this for 3 weeks and every time I call them they "solve" the problem so the speed test goes to 30 mbps for like 2 hrs and the go back to something between 0-10.
On top of that I was charged for 6 months for a service I canceled and I've been waiting for a 250 ish euro refund for over a month now.
The also told me they would apply a 12 month discount for being an existing client, after 6 months the started charging the full price.
Feels like they are trying to scam you and charging the cards hoping you wont realize and their broadband service is simply unacceptable.
Quite disappointed with this store guys. My daughter went there to buy new SIM card and pre-paid plan. She specifically asked Super Surfer plan and they have given Super Talker plan. Even if she didn't ask, can't they apply common sense what plan is suitable for young girl and advise accordingly? During the middle of the month, she lost data access and struggled a lot. Isn't it their marketing tactic to sell data for more money ?
Thanks to Jonnie at Three Ireland, Nutgrove Shopping Centre, Rathfarnham, Dublin. His friendliness and good humour made my Friday afternoon shopping experience a positive one. Sue
I live in Cappamore, Limerick and I always have only 3G. My internet is very slow and sometimes no connection. I called the customer services and they didnt improve it. I am so sick of it. It is 2025 and the internet speed I am dealing with is worse than what it was 10 years ago. This is unacceptabe and a disgrace!
The absolute WORST service I have ever used in my life. Nothing compares to how terrible this network is. The internet is beyond awful – it’s not just bad, it’s unusable, absolutely the worst internet that could possibly exist. I honestly cannot believe they were even allowed on the market. Total scam! If I could fine them for false advertising, I would. Calls constantly glitch, drop on their own, especially on speaker. Every single day with this operator feels like torture. I deeply regret the huge mistake of switching my whole family to this nightmare. Even a foreign SIM card roaming in Ireland works better than this so-called “local” provider.
Stay far, far away. Do not ever, under any circumstances, buy their SIM cards. 0 stars is too generous — if I could, I would give them negative stars. An absolute disgrace of a company.
I Bought a phone in store ans discovered it was 40 euro cheaper online sales man told me it was for switching customers which was untrue. Customer care didn't understand my question when I asked if they would refund the difference and told me I wasn't listening to her properly
Every time I speak with them, the customer service is absolutely outstanding. They are always kind, patient, and supportive, no matter what the situation is. I feel truly cared for and valued as a customer each time I call. The whole team gives the best service every single time — consistent, professional, and always willing to help. This is by far the best customer service I have ever experienced, and I highly recommend them.
I received an SMS from Three Ireland about a “matching credit” promotion, but it did not clearly explain the rules. The message said that if I topped up €20 I would receive another €20, but nowhere did it state that this extra credit could not be used to renew my plan — which is exactly how I always use my credit.
I spent more than 3 hours on live chat trying to solve something simple: renewing my €20 plan using the balance I already had. In the end, nothing was resolved. The agents kept sending me links to terms and conditions that were never included in the SMS, and therefore were not available at the time I received the promotion.
After being a customer for more than 2 years, I find it unacceptable to receive such incomplete communication and then waste hours in customer support without any solution. The whole experience was extremely frustrating and made me lose trust in the company.
Brilliant experience at the Dungravan store the lads are brilliant had a really bad experience with customer care with another company put went in and was notice straight away manager met me straight away friendly and straight up save over 177 over two years with my plan and added the family kids are delighted at College having unlimited calls to call home thanks again five star experience hope you see this I told you I’ll leave a review
I rang them twice on two separate occasions they ashored me they would ring me back, I'm still waiting. So glad I read the reviews . I am going to stay with my current provider. They need to get ther act together. Thank you
Avoid, avoid, avoid
If I could give no stars I would, customer care is non existent, inconsistent service and have literally spent hours on the phone with them trying to sort out problems with their service.
If I had the choice in the future between 3 and 2 plastic cups and a piece of string. I'd go with the 2 plastic cups and a piece of string.
I called into “Three’s” store in Nutgrove shopping centre to discuss changing my account from GoMo to Three as I needed a faster broadband signal for my business. I was informed by a sales assistant that “Three” had the best network in Ireland with way more masts than their competitors so I signed up. I requested a plan that covered all phone calls and data so the sales assistant informed me that Three had an excellent business product which covered all phone calls, data and they were also throwing in a phone (which I didn’t need ) and the overall cost was €32.99 plus VAT. I was paying €14.99 a month to GoMo but I was happy to pay extra if I got a quicker broadband service. I also paid an upfront deposit the amount I can’t remember as I paid cash but I was happy to pay same.
I received a message on my phone from Three after a couple of weeks saying that I had exceeded my roaming charges and I couldn’t understand same as I hadn’t been abroad so I called into the Nutgrove store to query same. I was told not to worry about the message so I left the store not thinking anymore about it. I then received my first bill in June for €108 so I went back to the store to enquire why my bill was so high. I was told that because it was my first bill there were set up costs involved and that I was paying my bill in arrears so I accepted their explanation. I then got the following month’s bill and it was for €124 so I again went back to the store. I had also received another message on my phone from Three saying that I had exceeded my roaming charges but I thought it was an error. The sales assistant informed me that I had been sold the wrong business plan as the one I purchased only covered three hundred minutes per month to other Three network users and after that I’d be charged accordingly. He transferred me to the correct business plan costing €39.99 plus VAT and this included all data and calls and I was informed that I would be refunded any overpayment. I then received my September bill which was for €86 and at this stage I was pulling my hair out. I really didn’t trust what I was being told in the store so I decided to write to Three and request that I be released from my contract. They informed me that I was tied into a contract however they eventually agreed to release my number based on my terrible experience with their company. I also asked them for my overpayment to be returned to my bank abd they said the monies would be credited to my Three account. This is where they are trying to be clever as I will never receive this credit as I’m closing my account. They keep using the wording “goodwill gesture” thinking they are doing me a favour but that is not the case. They are definitely the worst company I’ve ever dealt with where they find it hard to admit errors and who refuse to return monies when you have been overcharged. I hope people read this blog because “Three” are dreadful!!!
I have also reported them to ComReg as the Irish people need to be protected from these Bandits
Worst experience I have ever had with customer service I have paid my bill with Apple Pay they charged the money on my account they still said I didn’t pay my bill and threatened me with disconnecting my network I had to pay one more time and didn’t refund the initial payment horrible experience overall.
I was thinking about changing provider to Gomo or Clearmobile just to avail of the much cheaper rate but the reviews were terrible, so out of curiosity I searched for Three and was surprised to see the reviews equally as bad. I have been on a billpay mobile with Three for at least 15 years and can honestly say I've never had any trouble. I find the network coverage excellent (live in Kildare), have used it in the UK and Spain and Portugal with no issues or extra charges. I pay via direct debit and the only time there was an issue was when I mistakenly used my phone on the boat to England and was charged for Maritime rates (exorbitant). I contacted customer service and got through to someone no problem who explained that these charges were outside of their control - I looked it up afterwards and they were correct. My husband and sons also use Three and we have all had a good experience with Three. Very surprised to see so many people with difficulties. I would recommend.
Disgusting service. Can barely speak English and waste your time. Every one of the people I barely spoke with. No help no. Disgusting treatment as a 10+ year customer. I will be leaving three at the end of this contract purely on the basis of the outsourced support. I’ll happily pay more to speak to an Irish person
If I could give them zero I would
Disgraceful how they treat their existing customers
I left three after several years of being a customer, perhaps 10 or more. Their practices are misleading, things like scheduled top-ups will net you extra free credit when you sign up. They do not.
Customer support is awful, I understand that not everyone speaks English but trying to communicate with support is a terrible experience, they never help, they never solve anything and they almost don’t even answer your question. I switched just yesterday after a painfull experience with customer support, an agent called Naaz. I changed from €25 a month with Three to a rival company that offered me the exact same package as Three did at a cost of €15 per month.
Terrible and inconsistent.
I would never use them for any services again particularly anything that is business related as they cannot deliver their service reliably or consistently to have any confidence.
Disrupted countless key meetings and calls due to their inability to provide a proper connection and have no means of resolving anything in a timely manner (+5-7 business days for any call-outs).
Do not use them.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Don't fall into the trap of signing up - it's difficult to escape! Dishonest methods. My3 set up to meet their needs, not yours. No support, impossible to get basic account information. Customer "support" wastes a great deal of time and delivers nothing.
