Been taking duplicate payments from my account in the middle of the night for about a week now. Can never park. You get charged for a whole minute even 1 second over. Never available when you need them. Location services are useless and think you’re in a park and make the vehicle stop in the middle of the road/roundabout causing near misses of dangerous accidents. I prefer Voi, at least they didn’t try to steal from or kill me.

Withdrew incorrect amount, after recording incorrect travel time
So I’ve used Tier a couple of times in need, and all of a sudden I saw a huge amount drawn from my account from Tier. Okay, then I check the travel time. I’d used it for 11 minutes, and it said 46 minutes. This did not make sense, and as i checked my health tracking app, this was of course confirmed. When I contacted support they confirmed my travel time was only 11 minutes but then offered a value check valid for 3 Months. I then had to go back and forth an extra two times until I finally got an okay to get my money back. How this happened, I don’t know, but it sounded as if Tier was fully aware of what had happened. Im not trusting this company to withdraw money ever again. I’m not going to use the service again. Only positive I can see is that I in the end got my money back, albeit after having to ask and confirm two times, and first being offered a soon to expire value check.

MANY ISSUES
Where to start….The scooter itself was good, but different to VOI’s. Feels a little smaller and the turning was a bit whack in comparison (every little movement makes a big difference to stability). However, my biggest issue is the ‘No Go Zones’. Previously, with Voi I could get to work simply from south Glos to Henleaze in Bristol about a 25/30 min journey. NOW, the main part of my route is a no go zone where the scooter cuts out!! This needs to change massively!!! This company will lost A LOT of business if this doesn’t shift as no commuters from South Glos area will be able to get into Bristol at all.
Please sort this out ASAP

Stopped in the middle of the road, almost got hit by car
I know I sound like a boomer but these scooters are so dangerous. I've been riding Voi scooters to and from work since December 2022 and today I tried them out for the first time. Well I was riding it and everything was going well until my scooter stopped in the middle of a road and the car behind me almost went into me because of it and if they wouldn't have stopped in time then I could've gotten seriously hurt. I had to walk up the rest of the road with cars honking at me and it was so humiliating, it wasn't a road where I could be near the pavement, it was a road with 3 lanes and I was in the middle. Then on my way home I was riding when the scooter stopped again but this time it locked up and I couldn't move it. After trying to figure out what was wrong, I realised that my 4G wifi had stopped and so I couldn't contact support. If the vehicle stopped due to my wifi then that's an incredibly dangerous design because my wifi isn't the worst but it does cut off every now and then. I had to leave my vehicle in a no park zone and restarted my phone and eventually, 10 minutes later I had 4G again. I contacted support to ask for a refund and they offered me minutes instead and then I asked for a refund again as I'm never going to use their app again and they didn't even refund me the full amount. I then asked about getting fined as I hadn't purposefully left the vehicle in a no park zone, it quite literally locked up on me, but they reassured me I wouldn't. Honestly Voi's weren't the best but at least they didn't stop in the middle of a road! This company seriously needs to sort themselves out as after reading other reviews, this has happened to others. My trust in this company is null, I'll never ride one of their scooters again.

Used my first Tier scooter today and I will never use Tier again
Used my first Tier scooter today and seriously wished I had not. I will never use a Tier scooter again - they are not fit for purpose and the customer service is APPALLING. The scooter slowed to a stop on several occasions - I was not travelling in a no go zone and actually on cycle lanes. I was late for work so tried after five mins to end my ride after I found myself pushing the scooter for some distance. Tier would not let me end the ride. I persevered and the scooter started up again after some time only to slow and stop again (on a cycle path???). I then ended the ride and was almost late for work. Not ideal. I decided to complain and ask for a refund - it felt like I was talking to a brick wall - complete lack of understanding and I was told according to them my scooter was travelling at full speed for most of the journey so what was the problem?? I got them to recheck that “fact” on a certain road - one minute later they came back cap in hand and agreed that was not the case. Then came a negotiation of how many minutes they would give me for free!! I asked them what part of I want a refund don’t you get?? Eventually they agreed to give me back the measly sum of £1.77. BUT the sting in the tail - this company take money you don’t know about. I checked my account later and there was the price of the ride £1.77 (which will be refunded) but they also took £4 in a separate transaction. When I raised this with them later this evening they tell me is a preauthorisation amount they take for EVERY ride you go on! Sounds fraudulent to me. Never happened with Voi. I am now asking for that amount to be returned as it was not authorised by me and in my view is theft. So be warned that you will have money taken from your account you have no idea about. Bring back Voi. I had very few issues with the scooters and their customer service. I will never use Tier again and would rather walk.

Bristol service is abysmal
This my second review of TIER today. This time I’m going lower still.
There are no scooters in the centre of Bristol. I’m walking 2.8 km across town and finding none.
There was one in the app which I reserved but I couldn’t find it.
Please don’t post another patronising response to this review. Please post a genuine explanation of what is going on. Is this as good as it will be in Bristol?
How can this work if we can’t rely on the service? Back to cars?

The service has been pathetic
The service has been pathetic. There are no scooters when one needs them. I used them twice to work and they stopped working along the way and billed £9. The worst part they only wanted to give me 30% discount on the next ride. What type of daylight robbery is this??? After thorough protest they made a refund.

Can’t park bike anywhere in central London that’s close to home. I live in Zone 1 and could not even get close to my home on an expensive bike. Had to take a taxi home. Deleting the app now. Will not use again

Total rubbish
Total rubbish ! It was impossible to park the bike after I’d finished using it. Every place I took it to told me that the parking spot was ‘full’ and I had to park it elsewhere.
It took well over half an hour to try and park. I tried about six or seven different locations to park In the end I gave up and I was charged for two hours use. I.e. about £20. ! (For a 10 minute cycle journey) I was very late for my appointment and extremely frustrated. Never again.
The bike it self seemed quite good.

No parking availability information
I took one of the e-bikes to get to Oldfield Park (Bath) train station this morning. After a 6 minutes ride I spent (and was charged) for 15 minutes looking for a place to park and ended up missing my train.
The most irritating part is that you are only told when a parking space is full after ending your ride, scanning QR and taking a photo of the surroundings, which is quite frustrating when you are in rush to get somewhere. Wouldn't it be easier if app showed if the parking spaces are full?

Tier Bath - avoid at all costs
Tier Bath - awful. We tried to hire 4 e scooters. Only one of us was successful, the other 3 had to hire bikes as the app kept crashing when we tried to upload licenses. One bike didn't have any power but again we couldn't return it as the app wouldn't work. We carried on into town where we tried no less than 6 parking stations, all of which were allegedly full. We wasted almost an hour. Absolute nightmare. Called Tier who managed to end the ride for us and let us leave the bikes in one of their allegedly full spaces. Bring back Voi, they were so much more convenient and the scooters were so much better. We took a taxi home instead of using the bikes as the experience was so bad.

Bath
Bath, UK; Used two bikes and one scooter. The bikes both had broken saddles, wonky front wheels and are generally too heavy. The scooter was ok, but Voi were so so so much better. What a total miss. Every other time I’ve tried to use Tier, the vehicles won’t unlock. The environmental benefits will be outweighed by broken kit. Surely the council read the reviews??

Bath Tier ebike and scooter is terrible, as their IT doesn't work.
It lets you have the ebike or scooter, but when you go to a clearly marked 'P' location, as detailed in the app, I.e. Where you're suppose to leave it, it says 'Full, find another', and says 'lets find another'. But it is a parking spot, and there aren't any other devices there, so it is NOT full... And you to another parking spot marked 'P'... I've wasted lots of my own time, and have had to travel a lot further away from where I wanted to get to, because their IT doesn't work. Don't get on them, you'll be stuck with the device, and get charged for it!!! Useless... Bring back Voi!!!!

No available parking
Completely dismal and pointless endeavour. Picked up an e-bike from outside my house and cycled it up a very steep hill to what the app was saying was a parking zone. The parking zone was full. Drove down the hill, stopping at other clusters of bikes along the way, in what I knew wasn’t a parking zone, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how and why these clusters of bikes exist if it’s not a designated parking zone?!? Are pick up zones different to parking zones?
In order to see whether a parking zone is full, you have to 1) dismount, 2) put the lock in (for eBikes) 3) scan the QR Code and then 4) scan the surrounding buildings. After ALL this you then discover the parking zone is full. Why does Tier not just mark full parking zones on the map so users can see this up front?
I cycled around for THIRTY MINUTES trying to find parking. Met two other frustrated users.
I ended up parking 1.7 miles away from my desired destination, and was then charged £6. Ended up taking the bus to my destination, arriving 45 minutes late.
To say I am annoyed would be an understatement. I don’t even want a refund. I want another service provider.

Impossible to find parking.
Horrible experience. It basically charged me to take me further away from my destination. Tried taking a Tier e-bike in Bath UK to get up the hill… no parking spaces available, went to the next spot, no parking spaces available, went to the next spot, no parking available. This happened continuously until I was even further than where I started. Eventually found a parking space so far away that I ended up having to take the bus anyway. Waste of time and money.

Simple and easy. I love the state of the bikes and scooters. They are available through the city. They almost always work and are maintained well

Slowest e scooters at highest price…
Slowest e scooters at highest price compared to competitors.
Charging 23 Euros for putting the next bike in the 'wrong place.'
Pure arbitrarism.
App deleted, glad using the way better and cheaper competitor VOI anytime.

Perfect in every way
TIER is always a fun part of every single one of my trips. The vehicles are safe and the app is very user friendly. I loved surfing paris with my friends with the group ride function. Customer care is also exceptional and they pay attention to the littlest of detail. One of the best start-ups, by far better than the competition. Long live green mobility!

This service is a sh...t.
This was my first time. Service is a sh..t.
I had a meeting, so picked a roller.
Half way, battery has gone, getting empty.
I wanted to leave the roller at the location and walk further. No way to finish the road. No way to close the deal! I had to bring it to the starting point! Pushing and rolling. No more Tier. No more tears!
