A dissapointing and frustrating experience

My husband bought me a Tissot watch about 2 year plus ago and I noticed it to start slow down few minutes every few weeks. I sent it for repair twice and it still happens. For the 3rd time, althougth it is still under warrantly, I was asked to pay AUD60+ repair fee (that really makes me very upset). I expect a replacement of the parts - let me keep my scratched bracelet. I only ask for the watch to do its job- tell time accurately. After all the frustration, time lost and time spent to 'REPAIR' my watch, I definitely do not recommend this brand.

I just brought a Brand new Tissot…

I just brought a Brand new Tissot yesterday in Marina Mall, Abudhabi UAE and I wear it today for my training. I just travelled to the training centre for an hour and after that, I checked the time and found out that one of my watch "timer Button" was fell out already. I'm really disappointed with this experience. It's not the quality that I'm expecting for the price that I paid.

Tissot want $340 to repair their faulty watch!

My partner bought a tissot watch a little over 2 years Ago. It is now defective and when sent away we were told it will cost $340 to repair. This fault is not from anything my partner did to the watch, it is a manufacturing issue. The watch cost around $600 to buy new. Why should he have to pay more than half the price of the watch to have it repaired. I thought Swiss watches were the best. This is so disappointing.

Watch looks great, can't keep time or anything else!

Watch looks great, can't keep time, day of month or month. Its brand new!!!!!!!! I have an older Tissot that has never lost a second or stopped working. In my humble opinion, the new owners, Swatch, have downgraded production and quality control for the sake of profits. Loser strategy in the long run.

Needed repair after 4 years, but surprisingly inexpensive repair cost.

I was bought a Tissot PR100 about 4 years ago. I think it cost around £230 - £250. I had, had the watch battery replaced once (not by Tissot) but it suddenly began to lose 5 mins per day about 2 months ago. To cut the story short, Swatch who must have something to do with Tissot agreed to look at it and sent me a very impressive protective postal package. I duly sent the watch back and it was repaired for a cost of £47 including a new battery!!! That in itself is a very good deal as to have a battery replaced via a jewellers is at least £50.
Whilst I was disappointed to have to have a 4 year old watch of this 'supposed quality' repaired, I was impressed with the cost. The watch is only worn about twice per week. It has never been dropped and is in excellent condition, so I do have some doubts about its long term future. So far, so good after the repair. Fingers crossed as I love the look and feel of the watch.

Awful experience with customer care…

Awful experience with customer care when water got into my watch - they wanted to charge me £185! It’s an automatic watch which is apparently water resistant to 30m - how does water get into it? It is out of warranty but clearly this is a fault of the watch. Thought I was buying a good quality product - never again - will go elsewhere when I replace it. Poor customer service poor quality product.

Tissot. Built to brake.

In 2014 i bought a Tissot Powermatic 80 Chronometer watch.
After 2.3 years of use a fabrication error reoccurs - just after the warrenty had expired. It then miraculously works again but rebroke today (after 5.5 years).
Tldr; My Tissot broke several times in under 6 years. It’s built to brake.

Full story:
1. Failiure: After about 1.5 years of use a small metal nut was visible from the backside and the watch stopped working.
I got the watch fixed free of charge. Great.

2. Failiure: about 6 mounths later the same problem occured. The repair wasn’t holding up.
Because the warrenty had expired I had to pay around 300 EUR for the repair.
I choose to stop using it altogether. So much for investing in an expensive watch.

About a year later the watch miraculously started working again.

3. Failiure: the rim broke and i bought a new original one for 70 EUR. Stupid me.

4. Failiure: today the sqare metal thing surrounding the date number fell of leaving me with a completely broken watch. I would’ve attach a picture, but I’m not sure I can do that in here.

In conclusion: I thought that if i took good care of this 350 EUR watch it would last decades. I’ve never been more wrong. I’ll never again buy a Tissot watch. So keep my story in mind before you invest.

Overall I am satisfied

Overall I am satisfied. It's a selfwind. Often runs down overnight. A little heavy and cumbersome, can't button shirts at times. Watch was a gift. I probably would not buy this watch.

I bought a Tour the France model Tissot…

I bought a Tour the France model Tissot I used It just like 8 times then It stopped to work, I send It to the service in The Czech Republic DEAL HODINARSTIVI, S.R.O and they said that because a very tiny little scratch on the crown of the watch It got broken and that repaired It was going to cost about 160 Euros. It is not the first watch that I have a watch in my life but it is definitely the first time that I heard such a bad reason for a damage. That just made me conclude that Tissot has the worst quality and service that I have ever experienced.

Tissot are Brilliant...........…

I bought a Tissot watch over a year ago. I never took out any insurance.

I then made a serious and
foolish mistake causing accidental damage. I took it to the retailer I purchased it from and they sent it away for repair.

I got a phone call from the retailer to say the watch will be repaired free of charge, courtesy of Tissot.

I collected my watch a few weeks later with £0 bill, a beautiful case to store my watch in and 12 month cover for the same damage!.

I am very impressed with the service all round.

Don’t buy a Tissot watch

Don’t buy a Tissot watch.
I bought a V8 and thought it was a quality watch, 7 years later it has fallen off my wrist twice and the second time totally damaged, it literally fell apart but the glass didn’t break. Tissot informed me that their watches can only fall from 1m onto a wooden floor 😳 What! Oh yes and depending on how it lands. Furthermore they don’t provide any kind of Warranty. I could pay close to 300€ for repair, the watch costs 300€ on sale!

I am getting a Victorinox INOX this time, Tissot lost a loyal customer here and I will tell everyone on my way not to buy their watches. Poor quality and poor service!

Tissot has nothing to do with quality. Swiss made... are you having a laugh!

Unprofessional people

I contracted their services twice but to varying degree of experience. One my visit they repaired my watch instantly and quickly.
But when I went there for another watch of mine, they took more than ample time and when I went to recollect after all, at first they said they have lost it but but after instance I got it back.

Thankyou Tissot

I have recently had a problem with my Tissot Touch, and sent it to the service centre here in the UK.
I would like to thank the team for their excellent and prompt service.
I would definitely recommend Tissot watches to anyone who wants quality in a watch and in after sales care.

Thankyou Tissot.
