I visit this branch more than often and we always have a great experience from staff and managers.
Recently the manager went over and above to source us bedside cabinets as only one was on display he went through to the back and discovered a second one so we had matching set for our rental property. We were delighted! However we never have a bad experience n this store even if it is small items the team are always there to help no issue!

my friend got kicked out the shop in bury for looking at clothes, he was apparantly messing about. the man was verry rude about it and called him a small ginger. he even went as far to push him out the door and grabbed him to pull him towards the door. i am very unimpressed with this behavior by a grown man towards a 12 year old boy.

I wanted to buy a pair of trousers that were clearly marked at £18. However, when I went to pay, I was told the price was actually £48.
When I asked why, the staff member simply said it was “mispriced” and kept insisting the price was £48, without offering any explanation or solution. This is very misleading to customers and a waste of people’s time.
If there is a pricing mistake, the least you can do is handle it properly instead of just pushing the higher price onto the customer. Very disappointing experience — I won’t be coming back.

Horrendous, have spent a lot of money online with tkmaxx as I do not live near a store to visit. I bought 3 storage trunks online recently and 2 of them have arrived damaged/marked but also alarmingly they sent an open bladed box cutting knife in the parcel too. I then contacted about this and was told to take the damaged trunks back to store for a refund, why should I have to do that when YOU sent me the damaged goods to begin with? also I live no where near a store nor do I drive so I have absolutely no way of transporting these back. They then said on X when I contacted that if I want a refund on these 2 damaged trunks that I’d have to return them at my own cost because they can’t arrange a courier to collect these and they also can’t replace them for me. Disappointing customer service and frankly abysmal terms when you created the issue to begin with by sending damaged/marked goods, you are the one that put me in this position, I just want what I paid for which is nice storage trunks that aren’t marked and to add even more insult, I went back online to see if they still had them in stock and they were reduced within 24 hours of me buying them! so not only have I paid a premium price, I’ve also got marked/damaged ones to boot, lovely way of treating customers.
Combined weight is also 10kg for both marked trunks, no idea how to send these back!

How about check items before they leave the warehouse and not waste a day of your customers time.

Shocking condition of my order, that contained two items, both badly damaged!
Seems like TKMaxx do not have a QC process!
One item has the labels cut so there is no detail about washing instructions! The other item has a massive scuff!
I’ve contacted TKMaxx but zero reply.
The email ID for their customer services in their reply below also doesn’t work, emails bounce back.

I ordered two bedside tables that both arrived damaged. I repaired one but the second one was too damaged for me to repair myself. I asked for a replacement however they were unable to help with this. They only offered £15 partial refund for me to keep the item. It would cost more than the item is worth to get repaired so I asked for a replacement or a full refund so I can repair it. However instead of a response, I just got a scripted response explaining how to return it.

Have not dealt with my query at all. messaged about an old gift card that still has value on it and the customer service response is that it is issued by a third party. This is not the case it is issued by TK maxx. They claim their gifts do not go out of date yet the store cannot process it! Very poor experience.

You can't beat a browse at TKM to usually come out with a whole armful of random items and I have loved shopping for years here. I buy a lot of natural skincare, and homewear here. I have bought various creams however, where the moisturisers are a bit dried up or don't last too long, and clearly not at their best. Off the top of my head Liz Earle, Green People and Honest Beauty products. I didn't have great luck contacting customer service, I did get a. refund in store I think and they suggested they'd not been stored at the right temperature by them, however online support were not in any way helpful and were not bothered at all. Its led me to be quite careful with what I buy now and I buy sincare elsewhere. In all credit to Liz Earle as I bought a gift set and contacted them directly about this to check if the consistency was normal (which it was not), they sent me out a replacement product which was very, very good of them. I'm wondering if TKM are buying a lot of things that are due to expire soon, as you don't find dates on a lot of beauty products. An idea for a follow up documentary to look into this a bit more, after the very interesting one about how they commission a lot of their own products and create random brands for this purpose. Update - I'm not going to try and contact again - this was a while ago, and if they didn't care at the time its not worth trying again just because of a review here, online customer service are really not very helpful.

I. Purchased a candle that was producing black toxic smoke. I contacted customer service and unfortunately Karlee responded. She told me I had to trim the wick before using which the item did not specify. Once I did that, within a minute it started to produce black smoke again… photo and video evidence was provided. This was not good enough for unhelpful Karlee… She told me I did not trim the wick and no other person has complained so there was no issue….. Basically called me a liar even after I sent a video of the trimmed wick. Am I supposed to trim the wick after every minute of the candle burning!! Useless candles and useless customer service!!
