Great golf experience

First time at Topgolf and played at the Chigwell location. Bit of a wait to get started as only one member of staff at reception but she was very helpful. Great afternoon and all the members of staff we interacted with were friendly and made for a great afternoon. Can’t wait to go back!

Great Space

A wonderful small Birthday party was planned here for my grandson and his friends. We had never been, but seen it many times. It is super pretty. There is tons of parking and Topgolf has reasonable prices.

There is more to do than just hit golf balls. I am sure that is great practice and the place to huge for that, but there is more. There is this great area where you can play with your friends other games, all with a golf ball, but they are fun and some are easy, some not so much. They are designed for those that gold and those that don't.

You can plan a full party there if you want. We only had 5 or 6 kids so we did not have to pay for a party, we just rented the space. Do all of this ahead of time. This place books up fast and if you want to practice your swing, call ahead and make a reservation or you will find yourself waiting for hours.

The food we all ordered was great, all of it. We had sliders, mac and cheese balls, little pizzas, donuts and all sorts of sodas and other Birthday party items.

The service was exceptional. Everyone was so nice and friendly. All the kids at the party are Special Needs kids and the staff treated them with such care and kindness.

Everyone had the most wonderful time. I highly suggest this. Have the best time.

Nightmare booking - Fun Experience

Experience was fun but was very difficult and stressful to book. I wanted to arrange a birthday event here, but when I went to book was told you cannot book without food for parties greater than 12. I was told to book separate bookings then they will move them next to each other. Did so and was then told the day before (when I called to confirm) they are unable to change locations of the booths, but that they were only two booths between each booking. On the day they then told us we were on different floors, but 5 minutes later advised us of a cancellation and that they would move the bays next to each other, contradicting what they had said about being unable to move the bays. The manager also told me when I called in that they would come over to explain and apologise, but no one turned up. I also submitted an email to discuss this but was ignored. The actual golfing experience was fun but it was overshadowed by the difficulty booking. It seems they just want to squeeze as much money out of you by forcing you to book food with larger groups.

I Recommend That You Do Not Try The Footgolf

My family and I visited the Topgolf Centre in Weybridge to try out their footgolf. We went to the reception where we purchased our tickets and received our footballs. The staff told us where to go and we ended up in the middle of a field. I felt that they had put no effort into it and it was just a half-hearted add-on. However, the staff handled our refund so well that It stopped me from giving a one-star review if not it would be a one-star!

4 and a half hour wait, terrible experience, food and service

As much as the experience is great fun, it takes a long time to get to that point, this time it was a four hour wait before we got to play, which is insane. I get that the idea for them, at least, is so make you sit around so you spend more money (great business plan), but four hours to play two games...

The chilli cheese dog was awful, red in skin so closer to a savaloy, and the chili wasn't great. I ordered a 2 pint stein, of which they'd apparently run out of yet hadn't mentioned it to me and then served two single pints. Tater tots were decent though.

All in all, I like the idea and it's great fun but waiting around that long, alongside the prices of drinks (pretty much London prices) such as 6.20 or so for a pint, plus terrible food, isn't s great experience.

*Updated review*

We went back as some friends were down and it was an even worse experience and we'll never be back. Pushy service which we then noticed service charges - it's not a posh upscale restaurant, how can you justify a service charge? The food again was average to bad, spicy Mac and cheese was awful and not spicy, tater tots were lukewarm and soggy, wings were fine but not listed as spicy (they are slightly), the burger my friend got was poor and dry. To add to this, they didn't clean and take away plates and glasses for over an hour.

We then proceeded to wait 4 and a half hours before getting into a lane, along the way, we got to 1 at in the queue where we waited 45 minutes and saw numerous people go ahead who were further back in the queue... All because they had kids. I don't think breaking the rules because people choose to bring kids down late on a Saturday is very fair on the people who've been there since before 4pm, it was 8.30pm at this point. I was told (which I knew) if you want to get in quicker, book a slot, but that comes at a cost of £39.99, and that doesn't include any games, food or drinks.

I then had security speak with me as I was getting agitated and say, well I'm here to 3AM, after I said we'd been there since before 4pm. Honestly, that's not a great response and insulting. You chose this job, not me, it's not my problem you're there until 3am, if you're unhappy, change jobs?

Literally, the Watford one is terrible, nothing like the one at Las Vegas which I've visited numerous times now. I would avoid this place like the plague, unless you like wasting money and valuable hours of your life. We'll never be back.

We gave our 13 year old a birthday party

We gave our 13 year old a birthday party. He invited 6 friends and they had a great time. Food was good, soft drinks a little watered down. Our hostess was rude and not friendly at all. She would walk away while giving us an answer to any questions we had. Acting as though we were bothering her. We had a cake that she put on the table and walked away. She never offered plates or utensils. At the end of our 2 hours party, she never thanked us for coming. Just rushed us out of the area. It’s a shame, because its a nice venue. But, the staff is in serious need of customer service training.

King of Prussia, PA

We were at the King of Prussia, PA location. This was my second time there. First time was with my company and second time with my family. The golf and table service was good, but the person at the front desk/register was extremely rude both times I was there. My husband was never there and didnt think to reserve a bay on the upper levels. When he asked if we could switch bays, the girl at the desk was nasty.
When I went with my company, the girl at the front desk was rude.

We are in the new century not stuck in the dictator rules way back in the first century.

I am sadden to say that the bullying and harassment and intimidating people received when you only going out on a family / friends experience. I took some friends for a game of Topgolf and almost refused entry which is our natural rights to pay how wish or can afford to pay. Not everyone carries a credit card so that's one thing and we are still a Cash or Credit card society so this should not be force onto customers. This a force of control which needs to be reviewed asap or they will lose a lot of customers. I take moment to thank you for the opportunity . JB

Staff were good, food was good but be prepared to be ripped-off

The good points: Staff were pretty good especially Tommy B, who sorted us out despite the fast track booking not having gone through. We then only had to wait 10 mins till the bay was ready. Also the staff sorting out the food redirected the order from the table to the bay with no fuss and the food was decent.
The bad: the whole business model is a bit dubious, £39 to reserve a fast track, or you can do a walk in and wait 2-3 hours! The £39 just means you get to jump the queue, x2 games plus temp membership for 4 was £80 plus the £39! Plus food. It’s a rip off, and the whole process makes you feel like you’ve been conned. No idea why you need to be a member it makes no sense and means they can charge you extra each time you go. Not sure we would go back. Also they sold us x2 games but the boys only had time for 1 game, so now we have a credit on 4 cards for 4 games, so another £39 for a fast track or a 3 hour wait if we want to use those.
Problem is, this place is super busy and popular so they probably don’t care that they are ripping people off, people are willing to pay it.

Poor customer service

We went to Top Golf in Ontario California. We made a reservation for our family for the Christmas holiday and were promised a bay on the second and third floor. Upon arriving, they put us on the bottom floor. We asked to wait for a second or third and we were told that we would lose our $75 deposit and could wait 1.5 hours if we wanted a top floor. There were double bays available on both top floors yet they said those were "reserved". We asked if they were specific to those bays or if they could move them to the bottom floor and they said no they were not specific yet they could not accommodate the switch. We then offered to play for one hour on the bottom floor then move; yet again they were unwilling to accommodate. We then offered to pile into one bay and only have half the people play and they were still unwilling. We asked to speak to a manager and when Jorge arrived, he was just as unwillinging to do anything accommodating the customer. It's amazing this man was even promoted with his inability to put the customer first. When trying to speak with any of the staff, they were disengaged, unhelpful, and the opposite of empathetic. Once we got to our bays, it took 1.5 hours to get buffalo chicken dip and our bay continued to jam balls coming out, with no additional game play alloted. All in all, it was a terrible two hour experience on top of the 45 minute drive it took to get there. I would rather go to the driving range any day. Top golf should spend more time training their employees on how to handle customer complaints, how to problem solve, and how to have high EQ in dealing with different situations. I am extremely disappointed and I will not be returning to spend money on such an overpriced experience with such extremely low standards. Do better Top Golf. Do better.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Staff were really cold and absolutely not understanding. I came with my family that visited us from abroad. I recently had a shoulder surgery so I was never going to play. Furthermore my family do not speak English. Although I understand that we should be only 6 on a bay (which I was never going to go there with them as we were 7) for safety reason, I was rudely told to step away by Philip (a member of staff) quoting that I should not be there when he will explain the safety rules. The worst on all of this was that I was only accompanying my family so I could translate for them. So my family hardly understood the rules as explained by Philip. Completely miss the all point of Health and safety breathing.
Other members of staff were not better. The host (which is the first person you see as you walk in) showed similar discontent.
Additionally, we had to go through a long queue twice after their machine refused to recognise the card that we set up in an other site (which is supported to work on all Topgolf sites). Complete nightmare.

To Whom This May Concern,

To Whom This May Concern,

Firstly I would like to highlight that I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression within the last 5 years and the way I was treated by your bouncers and manager Damian is unacceptable and I will be taking this further to every social media platform possible because this impacted my mental health drastically.

On Saturday the 9th of December 2023, myself and my husband had pre booked a fast track bay for top golf , this was initially for 2 people. We then tried to amend the booking to add 2 more people to the booking and were told we would need to call the telephone number in the email confirmation. We waited 20 mins on this call with no answer at all. Absolutely disgusting service to start wish, with no consideration for your customers. Why mention a service if you WILL NOT ANSWER.

We then arrive to Watford top Golf and the 2 bouncers barred our entry as they needed to see ID who were quite intimating towards 2 women to start with which caused me major anxiety. To confirm ‘ THERE WAS NO CLEAR MENTION OF ID BEING REQUIRED FOR GOLF’ . Your manager quite rudely stated that this was on the website however for people who don’t drink this is not something we are use too or would even look for. MAY BE YOU SHOULD MAKE IT A TICK BOX SO PEOPLE DO NOT MISS THE MESSAGE AND TRAVEL 1 hour TO ONLY BE REJECTED.

I’m am a 34 year old woman and the fact I was spoken to and treated like a child is completely unacceptable. We were then told we were not allowed in and the manager told me I would not be entitled to a refund. I can assure you, I will go to every stretch to address this disgusting behaviour and be compensated and have contacted your CEO.

I have a tick tock account with a large following and will address this with names , if my complaint is not handled with the diligence it deserves.

I am so disgusted with the service and want a response asap. I want this escalated as I WILL not be leaving this matter.

Attached is my call wait time with no answer and my receipt with no mention of ID.

I look forward to a prompt response

Gift Card? Don't waste your time.

What's easier than ordering a gift card? If you ask TopGolf, launching a glass aquarium full of trout into space to feed people on Mars would seem like a simpler task. I waited 10 business days from shipping for a gift card. I called to inquire. Option to cancel? Nope. Option to switch to E-card? Nope. (My stupidity for thinking a physical card would be more enjoyable.) The "customer service" rep informed me to just wait longer. Is it lost? Don't know. Did it actually ship? Well, maybe? Fabulous news, thanks. There will not be a repeat and my money shall enjoy itself as far from TopGolf as possible.

Fun Place!!

The facility in St. Petersburgh Florida was amazing! It was our first time and we had a great experience. Cool games, good food and the prices weren't crazy.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't book it with a Canadian credit card (even though it's a US dollar card). I had to buy a gift card using paypal - kind of a pain. Then we had to pay $5 lifetime membership fee which was annoying as well considering we don't have Top Golf in Canada. They wouldn't accept my cc but they made me get a membership.
All in all an impressive facility and staff were sup friendly - would be fun to return with a group!
