Poor company that simply doesn't deliver what it promises. The reason we booked with Tots To Travel was because of their guarantee of a safely enclosed pool and baby equipment, and we paid a substantial amount more to book the villa we stayed at through Tots To Travel as opposed to another company because of this.

On arrival at our villa, although there was a fence around the pool, the gate did not close securely and it was possible for my 1 year old to easily push it open and access the pool. We reported this as soon as possible to Tots To Travel, but it was not rectified until around 17.30 on the third day of our holiday. Various other issues also took a long time to rectify; air conditioning wasn't working correctly (and it was very, very hot at the time!), missing equipment, couldn't access certain parts of the property. The air conditioning was looked at on our third day also, it was 'fixed' but within 20 minutes of the engineer leaving acrid smoke started to come out of the air conditioning system in to my daughters room. We called Tots To Travel immediately and another engineer arrived promptly (I get the impression this was coincidental rather than in response to the situation at the time). This engineer was very good (the previous one not so much) and removed a smouldering heating element from the system. He explained the air conditioning would not work fully in certain areas and required further investigation, but it was a vast improvement on what we had previously.

Communication with Tots To Travel was frustrating, even before we departed for our holiday. Whilst on holiday, there seemed to be a complete lack of urgency to get things rectified and a repeated condescending attitude of 'you do realise that we're not based in resort, we're just a middle man'. Promises were made of when issues would be dealt with and then nothing happened, resulting in further chasing up from us to try to rectify. Lots of unnecessary stressing and waiting around for people that never turned up. Before travel, we were sent an essential kit form to fill in which was never actioned. When we chased this, we were told we needed to discuss with the local villa management company (so what are we paying TTT for then?) Contacted the local villa management company to be told we needed to speak to TTT! Ridiculously frustrating and extremely unprofessional.

Realistically, Tots To Travel offer nothing extra and I would strongly advise against booking with them. Everything that was available in the villa we booked was available regardless of whether TTT was used or not. Pool safety not guaranteed. Some items guaranteed didn't exist; no games/dvds for children (although evidence these may have existed at some point previously), 'bath toys' consisted of around 25 mini rubber ducks. Children's bowls/cups/plates/cutlery offering was poor, no closed cups or proper cutlery for example. Rooftop terrace advertised for use but not actually available. When we arrived at the villa we had been provided with incorrect details by TTT so were unable to access the villa. We were stood around outside for over 30 minutes trying to resolve this before we finally got in. No apology for this at any point! Cots provided were travel cots with proper mattresses in them; the mattresses didn't fit snuggly which meant there was a considerable gap between the side of the cot and mattress. Our children were almost two at the time so were ok, but I would have been horrified if I had a younger baby (under 6-8 months say) as I do not think this would be safe. A smaller child could easily have rolled over and gotten stuck between mattress and cot side.

On the fourth day of our week long holiday we had contact from the Operations Manager at TTT. We stated we would like to try to enjoy what was left of our holiday, and there seemed to be agreement that there would be further contact when we had returned from our holiday. There was never any further follow up however, and we all felt so frustrated by our experience with this company and the time and effort we had put in to trying to get issues rectified when we should have been enjoying our holiday, that we couldn't bring ourselves to start the process again.

I would never book with this company again. Once we had paid our deposit any concern for customer experience seemed to go out the window. Please avoid.

3rd holiday booked with tots to travel. They excel is every area. Even had a question responded to at 8pm on a Sunday night.... Worth every penny

Booked 3 times with Tots to Travel now. Always very helpful and friendly. Resort was exactly as described. Would highly recommend.

Tots to Travel say on their website their point of difference is they pride themselves on ‘safe and stress free holidays for families’ but our 17 month old daughter could have died on the first night when we stayed at Green Garden in December.

Our daughter was crying in the night and when I went in to check her, her head was firmly wedged between the cot mattress and cot (On investigation, the Lullaby Trust (UK sleep safety charity) state the gap should be no more than 5cm... this was circa 25cm). If she were younger I’m absolutely terrified to think what could have happened.

We also had an incident at the hotel of the automatic doors closing on our 4 year old on a Tots group treasure hunt activity and scolding hot water come out of the cold water tap in our bathroom when I was hand washing some clothes (the taps were mislabelled and luckily it was me not my daughter using them) ...

All these incidents were dealt with by the tots team efficiently, very apologetically and apparently mattress checks have been put in place, (and they did upgrade us as an apology) but they SHOULD NEVER have happened in the first place for a safety driven travel company for children.

I am hoping we were just really unlucky (as our first booking to Martinhal was great in October and we loved the tots concept) but i cannot recommend Green Garden just incase it happens to anyone else.

We have used TTT twice now - both times for Green Garden Resort in Tenerife. They were very helpful in confirming the facilities on site, what we needed to bring etc. They were practical and had common sense. As an example, we asked if a buggy could be provided. They said it could but actually we would probably want it in the airport and it would be less stressful to have ours as we were familiar with it. Always helpful and professional. We would (and have) use them again.

Having been worried about a holiday with a toddler and a baby I needn’t have been. Green Garden resort has everything you need to keep small children entertained which leaves you to enjoy the sun and all the resort has to offer. Only criticism would be the food, although generally good and varied through the week it would have been a bit tired beyond this. Also not the best variety for veggies. Will happily return though as not a deal breaker as the rest of the resort and staff are brilliant. T2T were great throughout, especially the pre departure call to make sure everything was good to go.

Helpful staff, very knowledgeable travel consultants and efficient booking service. Good choice of holidays on offer.
