Terrible terrible terrible
Terrible terrible terrible. TTT promised so much. Child friendly accommodation, 5 star accommodation, wonderful food and when we arrived how different it all really was. We arrived at Green Garden Resorts, from check in and no help what so ever with suit cases to our apartment up a number concrete steps, which I have to lug 3 suitcases up. Get in our apartment and it smelt of drains, go to the fridge and it smells like its not been on for a while. The next day the fridge that we used for our 1 yr old's daughter milk obviously wasn't working causing her to get food poisoning, so 5 hours in a nearby hospital, having to watch our daughter on a drip, it was heart breaking. 2 days later I get sick so a week relaxing family holiday turns into a disaster. The hotel offered a room upgrade, a 1 bed to a 2 bed. Not an upgrade. The same floor plan, but with a bedroom (as we had before but this one set up for kids) and then a double bed in the living area. The air con is in the bed room. Thanks, an upgrade thats actually worse.
Not until day 5 of 7 did we have anything near a nice day. The general quality of food was poor to ok. every night there was a slight variation of food, every night the meat would be tough and chewy, the premium all inclusive you get with TTT is a waste of time.
TTT were hard to get hold of when needed and the compensation offered was laughable. On returning home I find out from a local Tenerife lawyer that the Hotel is known to be terrible and so TTT should be held accountable for the false advertising of their holidays. Especially when your paying £2k for a weeks holiday in Tenerife, Needless to say we will never be using TTT again and I suggest if you want to get a much better family holiday, not to use them.

I have just managed to speak to your wife so I was able to listen to your points of view and understand the issues personally. As soon as we heard that your daughter was ill we ensured that the milk, fridges and food were checked and all was in order; thankfully there were no other instances of illness in the resort. You were given a new apartment, offered complimentary treatments by the resort which you were unable to take, and offered a partial refund as a goodwill gesture which you declined. I do agree that some elements of the service you received when you needed it were below expectation. We are always gutted to hear when a holiday does not go to plan and particularly because of illness, and although the issues you experienced were not as a result of Tots to Travel I do genuinely understand and have offered you a goodwill gesture and a chance to travel with us again in the future at a significant discount. I have a team going to the resort next week and I have now also booked a further visit to the resort myself in order to review everything there personally and ensure your points of feedback regarding service and food are reviewed again. Worst customer experience I've ever experienced. Would definitely not recommend as a travel agent. The booking system is not user friendly, the advisors can't provide any useful information & for what you're paying for they don't even meet the basic standards.

It seems all you do is book the hotel…
It seems all you do is book the hotel and arrange for a few baby things to arrive in the room. I would have expected a more detailed approach e.g. asking if you need early check in or late check out, telling you about different accommodation options in the resort, arranging transfers etc. If I have known it was such a limited service, I would have booked elsewhere.

Part of this is helping you to find resorts and properties that we feel are suitable for families with little ones and so offering and explaining different property types where available. We visit every single property that is on our portfolio and carry out our thorough 30 Point Safety Check and because of this sometimes we choose not to take on specific property types at resorts. This may be because they do not pass our safety checks or we deem them unsuitable for families with young children. As we are a property expert we are not able to arrange transfers but we can certainly point our customers in the right direction and liaise with the resort about confirming any extra needs such as assisting with check out times if needed. As well as our 30 point safety check, we offer our essential kit, and in some resorts we have additional Tots to Travel exclusive facilities. We offer ongoing support for our customers, including while you are on holiday as well as the peace of mind that where have booked is family friendly and safe.
