If only all online retailers were this good!

Great service here. Purchase my item, great delivery schedule, arrived in a few days. I had a minor problem but this sorted out with the upmost efficiency and least amount off fuss and inconvenience to myself. I have no hesitation in recommending Towequipe to all and sundry ..... thanks!

hooked up

I needed a tow bar for my van quickly as I had to travel abroad with my caravan at very short notice and having contacted a number of companies I picked one up here and it was delivered really quickly and at a very good price. Thanks a lot and I can only recomend them. Eric Smith

Quick delivery and rapid rectification of faults

I originally bought a towbar kit from this company via eBay. That arrived the next day. As they promised a discount for returning customers who bought directly from their website, I then ordered a bicycle carrier from them. This arrived promptly but the packaging was badly damaged - carrier was Yodel - and some of the parts were missing. I immediately contacted Towequipe and they posted the missing parts immediately. I also purchased an adapter for the electrical connection for the carrier which arrived promptly.
My only criticism is that possibly the bicycle carrier should have been more securely packed before handing over to Yodel, who do not have a food track record for handling deliveries.

Great product and friendly, helpful staff.

I have used Towequipe twice now and will recommend them. I did have a minor glitch with a differing vehicle model, but the team at Towequipe were very helpful at addressing the matter. This alone, been able to "speak" to the company was in itself a plus, which isn't always possible and can be very frustrating. Product itself is of good quality and very easy to fit.

Great product, quick delivery and good communication

Bought some wind deflectors as a present and received them quickly. On inspection one was broken, through transit, I emailed about the problem. I had a replacement set by the week. I am very happy with the quick response to emails and getting the replacement so quickly.

my mistake, Towequipe sorted it out!

Ordered the wrong towbar, listing can be confusing for some citroen models. Byers beware a picasso is NOT a xsara hatchback. Sorted no problem by towequipe, mistake cost me £25 for collection of wrong towbar as ordered. Cannot complain about towequipe good delivery and service.

Good product, bad service

Ordered towbar and car specific wiring kit, next day delivery.
Towbar arrived next morning, great. No wiring. Got a call that afternoon. "Ummmm we haven't got that wiring kit, even though our computer says we have 10!!"
3 days later a wiring kit finally turns up, after a lot of pestering and chasing on my part.
Will not be using again due to incompetence.

We accept that there was a system error which has since been resolved and this was the reason for the afternoon phone call; we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. From time to time there we do experience systems issues which we are realistic with all of our customers about; this only goes to further strengthen the customer experience with us. As a gesture of good will the customer was provided with an upgraded wiring kit to bring the matter to resolution swiftly. We hope to hear from the customer again and hope this will not be an experience that would put them off a future order with us at Towequipe.

Bars came next day - worked well.

I ordered the bars one day, and they arrived the next, without paying any extra for shipping.
After having a bad experience with a different company, I was extremely pleased - I called in advance, and the rep knew everything I needed to know about buying them, fitting them, etc.
They took me over an hour to fit.
Just came back from my holiday - had cases and stuff strapped onto them.
Going to remove them shortly, and put them back on for the next holiday.

Faulty Wind Deflector

In May of this year 2013 i purchased through ebay a set of wind deflectors for my Audi A3 made by Heko.

I fitted them as per instructions and having already fitted sets to other cars owned with in the family had a fair idea of what was required.

Roll on to August this year after the very hot weather one of the rear deflectors fell off the car and broke.After several emails and telephone calls it appears, according to the manufacturer, its my fault for not fitting them correctly.

I find this odd as the other three are still on the car and i was told by Towequipe that no others had done this even though they have sold thousands.
Now even with the best will in the world every manufacturer has failures its a fact of life.I believe the double sided sticky tape to be at fault, as i collected the faulty one from the side of the road and the tape is no longer sticky at all.

Unfortunately for me towequipe would rather believe the manufacturer and not replace the broken one because they would have to stand the cost.
So i guess they think im lying.
They are also hidding behind the 45 day rule of ebay on returns, so if you have faulty items make sure they go wrong within 45 days.

But it appears i can stand the cost even though i have done nothing wrong.

I work in the building trade, self employed and any hint of customer dissatisfaction and im on to it like a shot even if it costs me money, as i believe in total customer satisfaction.This doesn't appear to be towequipes approach

Would i use or recommend towequipe again? no i dont think so and i rated them one star as but there wasnt any rude conduct.

How can it be stated i fitted them incorrectly when they stayed on the car at up to 70 mph a week prior to it falling off, that after having been fitted two months prior.
The others haven't fallen off and i haven't been asked to return the faulty one for inspection

I don't call 10% off a future purchase generous, i believe you give out vouchers with 10% off just for making a purchase any way.
The above offer would hardly bite into your profits would it?

I didn't buy the deflectors from the manufacturer, i bought them from you and in doing so you make the profit on them and take the risk of faulty goods.
If i had bought them direct i would guess they would have cost me half of what i paid you

The principle being i was supplied with an item that was found to be not fit for purpose and you haven't replaced it
I would expect goods to last at least 12 months from fitment

To make this a positive experience bite the bullet and send out a replacement for the faulty item, im even prepared to pay the postage

I feel you have neither listened or read and understood my mails and i find it very frustrating

I dont want a set of deflectors, only one to replace the faulty one.

As i stated i fitted them in accordance with the instructions provided

You are the seller so you sort it out and stop hiding behind time lines, as i stated i do not want a refund.

Why not just remove the rear ones from the four packs you sell and provide me with a replacement,
The price you charge for the four pack is similar to the two pack for the front so you wouldn't even be at a great loss and im still prepared to pay the postage.

It appears i will have to try a different avenue, maybe trading standards can sort this out as they are totally independent.

No comment on your generous offer or lack of wanting to inspect the "faulty one" then.

Clearly you are upset and we do not want upset you further.
We have already apologised and offered you a resolution which we accept you are not happy with; however we hope you will reconsider given time. We are unable to provide a set of wind deflectors to you free of charge due to the decision made by the manufacturers regarding the fitment of the items. If we had some in the spares replacement program we would have sent you out some; however we do not have any. You are outside of all time deadlines for a return of the item for a refund or a credit. We are unable to assist you further and apologise sincerely for the problems you have encountered.

Unfortunately the customer would not accept responsibility for the incorrect fitment of the wind deflectors. Despite what had happened the manufacturer would not make an exception due to the incorrect fitment. We made a generous alternative for the customer to consider; however it was declined under principle and we urge the customer to reconsider as the agreement would still stand in future. Due to the customers fitment issues being outside of all deadlines we tried to offer a replacement from the returns replacement program; however there were none left. We hope to hear from the customer again despite this experience and welcome the opportunity to make them more positive.

Rainy Days Relief

Whenever we change our cars we have to get the wind deflectors,( this time our neighbour wanted them as well ), to keep out the rain as we have suffered from a shortcircuit in the electric window switch before we found out you could get these, these were our sixth set. I wish the cars had them built-in.The service was amazing- next day delivery on a Saturday!
