Our friend recommended Trailfinders so we gave them a call. Darren Hassall answered our call and somehow we knew we were in good hands. Darren guided us through booking a trip of a lifetime to Canada and Alaska. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Darren recommended an itinerary which he emailed to us for review.
When we checked the itinerary we just had to book. Our trip was breathtaking. Each day somehow surpassed the last. Every little detail was covered. Trailfinders App, reminder email and texts were invaluable. Darren even called us the week before our trip to see if we had any questions and go through the itinerary again.
We cannot thank Darren enough for creating a truly amazing trip for us. It was literally the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Darren.

Theresa arranged a fantastic trip to South Africa and Zanzibar for us December 2025. Through no fault of Trailfinders, our flights had to be rearranged. Theresa worked very hard to find us a suitable alternative that met our wishes and maintained the essence of the trip. After many phone calls and much searching by her, we are back on track. Tom really listened to us re our wants and needs and came up with a number of options for our trip, some of which we hadn’t previously considered.
He was a fount of information.
He was very efficient and a pleasure to work with.

I requested a quote for Business Class flights to Columbia with an off-the-shelf 14-day Private Tour itinerary. The itinerary and quote were sent through within a couple of hours. I then requested a minor change to the flight connection times in Amsterdam as well as swapping a 2-night stay in one of the hotels with an alternative. I was told Trailfinders’ local agent would need to confirm the hotel change but I never heard anything further.

A couple of days later I noticed a basic error in the standard itinerary – one of the internal Columbian flights arrived later than the initial half-day excursion at the new destination (Medellin). I called and was told this could be remedied with an earlier flight and someone would call me back after confirmation from the local agent in Columbia (Trailfinders could not book this flight themselves). Again there was no follow-up call although I did receive an ‘updated’ itinerary a day later – with no details on the revised internal flight, but an unexplained £1k increase in the overall package price.

So I called again and spoke with a different person who could not explain what had happened regarding this ‘revised’ itinerary but he would get his colleague to call be back the next day. That call did not happen. I did however get a call the next day again to explain that the price increase was because Trailfinders’ Columbian agent was working to different prices from what had been previously agreed with Trailfinders and this was being investigated.

I decided at this point to call a London based Latin America specialist that I had used before. Within 4 hours they had put together the same Columbia Private Tour with flights package – including an itinerary that worked. It addition, it was a few hundred pounds less than Trailfinders initial quote (i.e. before their ‘increase’). Within 24 hours of initial contact, I booked the holiday with the specialist.

I found my Trailfinders experience amateurish to be frank. Trailfinders is not a company I felt valued that I was about to spend £17k with them. There are specialists out there who provide a much more personal service vs. what felt like a was a general travel call centre.

I thought it was a really good call. Michelle and i talked through the options and shaped a package that suited the family. This meant moving away from my original idea to just stay in Tanzania to include Kenya. The final package captures the right balance of adventure with budget.

I am also impressed that when someone else answers the phone it is a continuous conversation, so they have all the papers to hand.

When we had our flights cancelled due to the situation in the Middle East and some other issues Megan helped us to rebook and iron out all our issues. She was calm, professional and polite.
