A scam! I can't cancel!

What a scam!

I called and cancelled my account on January 16th. I've received two bills since then. I've tried calling and they keep transferring me back and forth between the same departments! I thought I'd have more luck with the text messaging feature but no one messaged me. At this point, I can't access my account, but I am still being charged.

Charged immediately when signing up for free credit report

I signed up for Transunion to get a free credit report and I was immediately charged $28.69 for credit monitoring and a membership I didn't want.

It was annoying and I had to call in to cancel and get a refund.

I didn't see anywhere where it asked me to sign up for a credit monitoring membership. All I saw was that it took my credit card information upon signing up.

This is misleading. I would not sign up again for this. I will just go with Equifax.

TransUnions has horrendous customer support

In October, I accessed the Canada website. I did so because I wanted to freeze the credit check capabilities. That said, I couldn't find anything on their website. On top of that, you always get an error msgs regardless of the page you are on.

Fast forward to me reaching out to support, they basically "helped" me by giving me urls for the American website. ??? Why? I'm NOT American and I cannot do anything with those urls. When I told them that, they NEVER responded. WORST customer support I've seen who clearly doesn't give a crap about individuals.

BEWARE

I received a credit report in the mail. Noticed that my credit card accounts were listed since 2014 as active on my credit report. It had everything on all my credit cards wrong the numbers, amounts, open and closed accounts. It had all my personal information wrong and right. Why is this company still in business with so many complaints of ripping people off. The letter says we understand that recently something on you credit report was not right?? wanting me to call them. I have no idea what they are talking about. They are creating a sense of urgency and putting fear in people. I see by the other reviewers that they gave this company $20.00 to correct. This company and Just Answer company are nothing more then con artist scamming people out of money. All the Attorney Generals in every state are turning their heads because someone is making money off this dishonest way to tricking people.

By far one of the most horrible support…

By far one of the most horrible support system there is.
Support is based in India, you cannot hear clearly the questions, the accent was very hard to understand, they did not provide me any help with my long issue, everything was difficult.
I highly recommend not to go with TransUnion.

Advised to report death of family member to credit bureaus and what an ordeal that is proving to be. Not nice at a time when we’re grieving a great loss. No online option to submit information during a postal service.

Awful company. Do not use it for credit checks

Tried to check my credit score, ended up signing up for a membership, which I got charged for but was never able to access the account because "my identity couldn't be verified". Tried calling to sort out the id verification, and they ask me to sent some personal information through a very sketchy process that didn't seem trustworthy to me. So I decided to cancel my membership and delete my account, which they make impossible through the website.

Everything seems to be designed to trick clients into signing up for a paid membership, and make it difficult to cancel.

Horrible company

Horrible company. The worst customer service. And they don’t give a 💩!
CHOOSE EQUIFAX ✅
I have an excellent credit rating at Equifax, with great customer service, and a way lower score at useless Transunion. 🔨

Give up guys

Give up guys. Reputation is everything. Especially now with everyone being online. I take security very seriously. I work in tech and you guys just dont have what it takes. You can't even do a simple address check based on post code. Thats a level of incompetence I have never seen before.

Unfortunately banks like Atom rely on you. Absolutely no idea why. They will lose customers. Reputation is key and if these really basic checks fail, they lose customers. They lose money. It reflects poorly on them. Their only fault is to use you. That is a mistake they will likely see further down the line.

4th Nov. I never hard back from you after sending an email but Ive moved elsewhere now and guess what? No issues. Never had the issue before. It’s your algorithm.I’ve lived at the same address now for more than thirty years.

Well done with your consistent 1 star rating guys. That’s a massive achievement. The fact you still exist is amazing.

Stay away from this company

It seems I'm not alone in my frustration—many people have similar complaints about TransUnion's poor service. I contacted TransUnion after noticing an unfamiliar address linked to my name, raising concerns about possible fraud. Their customer service was awful. The representative didn’t ask for my account details, didn’t understand the issue, and simply told me to wait 30 days, which is unacceptable when dealing with potential identity theft. Instead of resolving the issue, they left me to prove the address isn’t mine. TransUnion’s handling of this is careless and unprofessional. I wouldn’t trust them with sensitive information.

Received an email from them and tried to login to my account with the correct credentials and password, but could not log in after several attempts. I forwarded the email I received as a suspected phishing attempt to them, but haven't received anything in return. Can't contact them directly via email and don't want to waste more time trying to call them again. Horrible experience.

I checked my score on TransUnion and it…

I checked my score on TransUnion and it had dipped by 200+ because I missed my mortgages due to health issues and complication that could not allow me to keep paying the mortgage. I read testimonies here about how Credit Restoration Hub has been dealing with people to rectify their situation like my own and that was my saving grace. They were able to increase the score by to 700s and now i can pay the mortgage with a rest of mind.

SCAM..

SCAM... I was searching around Transunion looking for free credit report, I provided some info for that and without my authorization or agreement signed me into a monthly subscription charging my Visa monthly fees. It was month two when i realized and called immediately to cancle and demand a refund. They obviously know what they are up to as they cancelled and refunded my charges without hesitation. I was thankfull for the refund but this should not be allowed. "Beware"

I filed chapter 7 Nov 22

I filed chapter 7 Nov 22, 2023 and all my debt and assets became property of the Bankruptcy Estate. Transunion is saying I am 60 days late on 2 accounts. Once I file chapter 13 or 7 the accounts no longer belong to me and the creditor is not allowed to report. Because the accounts no longer belong to me. Transunion does not understand this. They keep saying I was 60 days late and that I still have $1,499 in debt.I had to contact Credit-Restoration Hub to get them to assist me repair it, and I've since ceased interacting with Transunion. They need to understand the legislation.
