I used TravelChina Guide for both my train tickets and a day trip to the Great Wall. Both experiences were perfect. The tickets arrived at my hotel exactly as described. The day trip to the Great Wall was the highlight of a great trip.

I think the best part was being able to use these services a la carte is that I felt I was able to get to the flow of being in China vs following around a big group. Having a provider that you can trust like TravelChina makes that possible.

Other than flight details, we relied entirely on Travel China Guide Tours to arrange all the details of a complex overland tour that included Xi’an, Lhasa and overland across the Himalayas to Kathmandu, Nepal. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and flexible when we requested almost daily modifications to our itinerary to reflect changing interests. The vehicles were reliable and the drivers safe and professional. Accommodations were top notch as were meals along the way. There are a number of tour companies offering overland tours across the Himalayas but we consider ourselves really fortunate for having selected Travel China Guide Tours for this once in a lifetime trip.

This was our first experience holidaying in Asia and Travel China Guide Tours was there for us every step of the way. Right for the start the holiday was tailor made for us and we had the same rep helping us along the way, she was extremely helpful, replying to any questions or queries we had almost immediately, which was most impressive taking into account the time difference between England and China. The holiday lived up to our expectations and probably exceeded them, I was quite nervous visiting this part of the world but going as part of a guided tour was great. The hotels and restaurants were great, the tour guides looked after us well and were all very knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend them and would certainly book with them again.

Our visit to Bejing and the Chinese wall was perfectly organized. We were picked up in the morning by our guide (picked up 3 other people in other hotels). After that we visited Tienanmen Square and Forbidden city and then drove to the Great Wall. Had lunch there and then walked all the way up. On the way back we stopped at the Bird's nest and got dropped of at our hotel. Everything was perfectly organized!

When we first thought of going to China we realized that to get the most out of it we would need an organised tour. After much research we decided to use China Guide Tours, we were a little nervous of dealing with a company we had never heard of before, however we had one of the best holidays ever. China Tours organisation, friendliness, the hotels and restaurants they chose, the places they took us to were brilliant. We were concerned how being with a group of strangers would work, however once again I would say the group made the holiday very special, they were from all over the world and of all ages and we are still in contact with some. When we go back to the Far East China Guide Tours will be the first place we look.

Travel China Guide was very helpful when planning our trip to China, their customer service is great and pretty efficient. I hired a tour of Xi'an from one day to another and they were able to set everything up without any problem.
Would definitely use them again when back in China.

My grandson was studying for a semester at Seoul National university and suggested that we tour for sometime before returning to Canada. I came across Xi'an Marco polo International Travel service Co. Ltd. when exploring the website of CVAC (China Visa application center) in Toronto. As neither of us had travelled in the "Far East" before, had little knowledge of China, and did not speak Mandarin, we thought it sensible to have tour guides from a company familiar with the country I am glad we did! Our itinerary was carefully planned, and went fully according to plan. Our tour coordinator, Vera Yu, assisted us with the itinerary, paperwork and documentation for arrival in Beijing, and even arranged to meet us in Xi'an.
The tour was magnificent,although strenuous for me as a senior,and covered many of the sites and cities we had heard of over the years. Hotels were beyond our expectations, and cheap, from what we experienced in North America. Hotel meals were generally excellent but we preferred to eat in local cafes; this was much cheaper and not at all difficult as most cafes had pictures of their menus posted outside, and staff were always helpful. In fact we were sometimes overwhelmed with how friendly and helpful Chinese people are.
On the Yangste cruise, where we were the only Westerners, several crew members spoke some English, and the public announcements were often repeated in English or the benefit of non-Mandarin speakers.This cruise was spectacular giving much insight into daily life in China, and culminating in the magnificent 3-Gorges Dam.
In Shanghai we went on our own with a bus tour of the city, a river cruise, and walking.I must add that I felt safer walking a night in Shanghai than I have felt in many North American cities. The Shanghai Bund (river walk), night lights on the Huangou river, and the Shanghai tower should be on everyone's bucket list.

I just wish we had more time available!

I used Travel China Guide for the first time last summer, to help organizing our 2 week trip to China. I chose the itinerary and booked the hotels myself but used them to book train and plane tickets, as well as tours. I am extremely pleased with the service provided. They were very helpful, always quick to answer my questions, and the whole trip went very smoothly. Highly recommended!

The information was accurate and very helpfull

We used Travel China Guide to book many of our experiences in China. We used them to our tour to the terra cotta warriors in Xi'an, to pick us up at the airport for the day tour, to book trains to and from yangshuo and guilin, and our tickets to the forbidden city. They were very helpful and provided great service!

Our group of 6 from Australia had a fabulous time touring China and were able to see some wonderful "tick the box" places, people and pandas.
From the start our trip to China was well organised, on time and met all our expectations. Shanghai was a very cosmopolitan city, the Terracotta warriors amazing, the Yangtze interesting and the doing the walk along the Great Wall a highlight and great finale to our trip.
Kelly and her band of helpers were friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. Having someone to pick us up, meeting us, then dropping us off at different cities, airports, train stations and to our Yangtze river cruise made for getting around a breeze. All our tour ladies were lovely, easy to talk to, understand and answer many of our questions. Would highly recommend this tour group. Deb

I was a bit nervous about booking a tour in China as I had read some pretty negative reviews about folk being hassled to buy things and generally being underwhelmed by the experience. I did some research and discovered Travel China Guide Tours. We booked a mini group tour to the Terracotta Warriors and were delighted to find ourselves the only 2 folk on the tour that morning. Tracy, our guide, was excellent. Informative and chatty when needed but unobtrusive otherwise. No hard sell or pressure so highly recommend.

Travel Cina tour was the greatest vacation we have ever had. Summer 2019 did the 12 day tour. Beijing Xian Chengdu Guilin Shanghai. We also did the upgrade to 5 star hotels...wow that was fantastic...never seen breakfast bars with so much good stuff.

Enjoyed it all. Because there were 7 of us we had our our private guides. All were great. We did not do any of the shows in the evening that were recommended as we just did things around hotel on our own.

If you have any hesitation around security or not being welcome in China with the trade war, you do not have to worry. Never once felt unsafe.

I used Travel China Guide to buy my China rail tickets using their website from the UK. The booking was made most efficiently and the tickets were waiting at my hotel in Shanghai when I arrived - all as promised. Their website is also full of brilliant information on how to find one's way through a Chinese train station and how to interpret a Chinese rail ticket. I thought their service to be excellent.

By now, I have used TravelChinaGuide services (both tours and train ticket purchase) a few times in the last 2 years, and each time their service has been absolutely outstanding and impeccable.
They have always met or exceeded the quality promised via their website.

The interaction with them is remarkably smooth: procedures, terms and conditions of their tours and other services are clear. Information on their website is comprehensive, clear and easy to navigate. Communication with their agents is pleasant and they are very polite, kind and helpful.
Response by their agents was very prompt in all cases.

For the tours (I have taken 4 so far, in Xi'an and in the Guilin area) they always provided perfect and timely organization: notification of all steps was given exactly when announced; the Guide always showed up at our hotel exactly at the time expected; the trips developed according to schedule and plan and a couple of contingent unforeseeable situations were handled and solved promptly and satisfactorily by the Guide.

All the Guides who led these tours were absolutely professional persons: knowledgeable, informative, helpful but also friendly, lovely, charming - and discrete.

In one occasion (tour of the Longji Rice Fields) I had one of the best meals I have ever had - anywhere in the world - at a modest family restaurant in a remote village. I really appreciated the chance TravelChinaGuide gave me to sample authentic, not tourist-oriented or tourist-capturing, Chinese food.

Some of the places I visited with TravelChinaGuide are remote and pristine places of stunning beauty and impressive cultural significance - and this is not merit of TravelChinaGuide, but their merit is to offer these small-group tours which allow us tourists to really take in the beauty of the places and savor and perceive people's culture without invading their territories with big, loud hordes of tourists.

Their train booking and ticketing service, which I have also used a few times, both with delivery of the tickets at a Hotel and with pickup at a ticket window in a Railway Station, is impeccable as well.

We booked all the train tickets that we need for the trip in advanced. Travel China Guide purchased them for us when they were available (about one month before the train departure). Some of the specific trains that we choose were not available but they sent us some alternatives and asked us which one we prefer. After some email exchanges all was ok. They sent the tickets to the first hotel of our route, and the day we arrived to Shanghai's hotel the tickets were at the reception. Perfect service, very comfortable, otherwise is not easy to buy the tickets at the station...

For sure, we will use Travel China Guide again if we go to China again.

We booked a two-day tour of Beijing which included the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace as well as a few other amazing attractions around the city. Our tour guide and driver was very professional, and the tour guide's knowledge was excellent. I'd highly recommend Travel China Tours, it also makes a huge difference having a local tour guide. The tour was for my parents, my wife and myself.

Just something to add, the tour guide went beyond the extra mile... my dad lost his cellphone the previous evening while in a taxi. She managed to phone the person that had the phone and helped arrange it's retrieval.
