Buyer Beware
I recently purchased a "cancel for any reason" policy for an overseas trip which I paid $1000.00 for. The trip was To Cairo, Egypt. At the time of the trip political/war activity was beyond my comfort zone so I cancelled my trip.
I filed a claim expecting some type of refund only to be told the "cancel for any reason" benefit was excepting cancellation for acts of war, etc.
WTF!!!
Buyer beware when purchasing from this company. the "Cancel for Any Reason" policy is anything but!!!!!
The fine print has a long list of reasons why they will not honor your claim... I guess Im just naive to believe that "Cancel For Any Reason" means anything but that.
This is false advertising at its best.

I would give this company zero stars if allowed.
Travel Insured is great at keying information into a computer program and letting the software program spit out a refund amount. But can you actually read the 68 pages of documentation YOU required me to gather and upload and realize I missed my entire trip to Finland due to a Finnair flight having a bad tire and delaying my trip for 3 days thus, missing in country flights and all the scheduled activities. No you did not. I received 1/5 of a refund of the cost of the trip. I actually received less than that when you factor in the cost of purchasing your worthless insurance.
Trip cost? $5500
Insurance cost? $300
Refund? $1000
When I asked to speak to a supervisor to explain why I am not entitled to a full refund, I was told no.
If this company had any integrity whatsoever, the most senior employee would review my claim and provide me the full refund I’m entitled to since I missed my entire trip to see the Northern Lights.
In Catherine’s reply below, she said a member of the team would reach out to me. They did. Kristen called and left a message with an extension to call back. I called the extension back and it took three calls, speaking to three different customer service reps for them to 1) figure out who “Kristen” is ( Kristen didn’t leave her last name in her voicemail) 2) figure out what Kristen’s work schedule is and 3) figure out how to transfer me to Kristen’s voicemail.
I left Kristen and voicemail and she never called back.
I heard very good things about the travel insurer, Faye. I’ll be using them next time.

The Mercedes Motorcoach is luxury and smooth driving. Having professional drivers who are polite and friendly. Bardos Laszlo excellent. My Travel Director Gerwin Trafalgar was Top Notch and caring about every one. They both made the experience amazing and I felt secure. In Vienna Austria at the Gala Viennese Concert I was chosen to play an instrument with the Conductor on stage with over 200 people watching and I had fun and this was memorable and an honor for me. I will always remember in my heart.
