Wont accept real reviews if negative but has a huge amount of fake postive ones on.
Totally useless review site.
Cannot trust the ratings of anything.

I booked and paid for a trip to an Aqua…
I booked and paid for a trip to an Aqua park in Fueteventura for myself and family. We booked and paid for it through Trip Advisot website. When we arrived on the day, it was closed and has been for over a year. I would like a refund. I emailed trip advisor weeks again but haven’t had any response. My boys were so gutted, they had been looking forward to the Aqua Park all week!
Trip advisor could care less about The Traveling Public it Pretends to Help
Trip advisor could care less about real reviews. I lost $680 to Rocky Mountaineer along with several other people who together lost almost a $million. I tried to express my true outrage at this company yet I had to rewrite my Review 9 times and water it down just so they would publish it. Many of the others who lost money also tried to publish their experiences with Rocky Mountaineer and Trip Advisor rejected the reviews or made us re-write them. I am familiar with Trip Advisors policies on reviews and I for 1 did not cross the line but Trip Advisor never tells you what the problem was with the Review. It’s obvious Trip Advisor is beholden to hotels, Restaurants, Tour Operators etc but plays this game that we the public are important. Don’t be fooled. Trip Advisor could care less about the traveling public as long as they are making money from bookings. I have almost 300 reviews and a couple hundred helpful votes but will never again post reviews on Trip Advisor.
This company engages in not just key…
This company engages in not just key word stuffing Google's results for anything but deliberately edits or deletes negative reviews for restaurants. I seriously urge travelers to avoid these con-artists.
Trip advisor are useless nowadays
Trip advisor are useless nowadays. Travelled to a so called “Travellers Choice” restaurant. What I found was a scruffy cafe with broken signage which I wouldn’t even have gone in to. Are they interested? No. Clearly false reviews posted resulting in a wasted journey. I won’t be doing any more reviews.
They keep going downhill
They continue to offer the normal subpar service. I have been a so-called Destination Expert for many years with over 50,000 forum posts, yet they totally ignore my questions and input.
I find many of their reviews and posts highly suspect since anyone can post a review of any hotel, restaurant, etc., With nothing to prove that they have actually experienced the service. So really useless reviews, often posted by those with a hidden agenda.
This site does not contain real reviews…
This site does not contain real reviews from customers since their censorship favors their partner hotels or restaurants. I have been greatly deceived by trip advisor in the last 2 years where I felt duped by their recommendations.
Trip Advisor Offers No Live Customer Help
Trip Advisor gives businesses the opportunity to list, which I am appreciative of. But that's about it.
When you need help changing the name of your business you have to remove and then add the new name. This causes you to loose your status and algorythmic success. I had some questions to ask them concerning my fears as a business owner. They give you this number to call (781) 800-5000 but it is just a recording sending you to a never ending website of hours of searching for help at their designated site instead of getting the task expediated as they say in their recording. Also, you are sent to a 3rd party platform to write what's wrong called, "pissedconsumer" which I find derogatory and shows that they are already labeling me as a problem instead of just helping me. Unlike tourist platforms like airbnb, vrbo and business platforms like wix.com, which have excellent customer service and don't punish you for having important questions and frustration for already spending hours trying to resolve the issue, Trip Advisor has showed us how they really feel about working with those of us who are enriching the lives of millions.
I would have given them zero if…
I would have given them zero if possible. I have 2 properties advertised on their website. With the pandemic renting them out has been dire for 2 seasons. I was communicating with someone who wanted to book for 15 nights. In the meantime another enquirer wanted to book instantly. I am disabled and my hands shake so I inadvertently accepted the second booking for only 7 nights. Both bookings were on their site but the 7 night was consumed by the longer booking. To cancel the smaller booking they charge me £120 which is not negotiable. There seems to be no latitude when you make an honest mistake and you have to phone the USA to speak to someone.
Great, but not user friendly.
I find Trip Advisor excellent, and my “go to” site for reviews. I have written nearly 500 reviews over 10 years. However, it is impossible to contact them if there is something wrong with a listing. It should be so easy to allow a member to just email in to suggest an amendment.
The Hurt Arms Ambergate Belper
My friend & I had a very enjoyable meal cooked to perfection. It was a burger meal that was excellent. Service was very good too. Highly recommend
Booked through Trip Adviser and all…
Booked through Trip Adviser and all went smoothly.
Not in favor of.
I’ve stopped using them completely. Booked through their platform, the owner cancelled the booking a few hours ahead of arrival at the busiest time of the year. They were not helpful at helping us find what we needed, all they did was to send across a list of the first places that popped up which anyway could have been done.
They don’t verify rentals, nor are customers protected from last minute cancellations which basically means you could be on the streets.

Fake ad and credit card cloning
There were some problems with my experience on TripAdvisor. For some years I have been looking for leisure and travel sites and for sure TripAdvisor left me disappointed. Starting with the fact that on one of the occasions, I was tricked by a fake ad inside a hostel's own website. After that, never a second attempt months later, after making the payment for the package, I had my credit card cloned and several purchases made on random internet sites. If I had to recommend it, I would not recommend TripAdvisor to any of my acquaintances, the two experiences were not good and I was totally dissatisfied with what happened.
OH THE IRONY !!!
How ironic that one of the first predatory companies, muscling in on other countries markets and one of the original review led sites is now a company that has a very poor rating.
I stopped posting reviews on there a few years ago because they asked me to change/reconsider a poor review, it was obvious that only good reviews were acceptable so rendering the model of reviewing useless. When reviewing I tried to be honest and relevant (not a good idea in the Trip Advisor world)
Since then, I only deal with the owners for booking, paying and to resolve issues etc. This is how it operated before these middlemen sites got involved and after all they are only money making machines that invest nothing in the businesses. Maybe its time to take a few steps back and make these sites redundant because dealing direct always has more positive results.
TripAdvisor are deleting bad reviews…
TripAdvisor are deleting bad reviews for "Kokkeriet". Both me and my girlfriends reviews are gone. Then what's the point?
Tripadvisor stealing businesses data…
Tripadvisor stealing businesses data without the owner’s agreement or knowledge & put them on their website which is illegal in UK.
Tripadvisor not letting business owners to remove their business from their website, keeping the business’s data on their website by force & bullying tactics which is illegal again in UK.
Tripadvisor is allowing people with fake ID to leave fake reviews for UK businesses which are totally false & based on personal vendetta. Again that is illegal in UK.
All activities of Tripadvisor in UK are illegal.
Tripadvisor is hiding in US & declaring their US address is the only address they have to make it difficult & expensive for UK business owners to sue them.
No other company in the world is behaving the same as this company.
Tripadvisor’s policies are only based on themselves to make as much money as possible.
