Braindead communication

Worst support ever.
I want to play an old game, bought on Steam - and the CD keys is connected to a Ubi account long lost. But I was able to provide purchase information from Steam - and show that I own the Steam account.

But I just got standard "sorry we cannot help you".

Genuinely one of the shittiest billion dollar companies to ever exist its honestly impressive how inept, incompetent, and flat out deluded the people who run this company are. I cannot play Star Wars outlaws because…

I cannot play Star Wars outlaws because it wants me to sign with an ubisoft account. I cannot open a new account or i cannot change the xbox account my current ubisoft account is connected to. I am opening the game, i am trying to get the service i paid for but i cant play it because of how much of a pain in the ass ubisoft is. Complaint Description:

I am filing this complaint regarding Ubisoft Entertainment’s failure to provide adequate customer support and access to a paid game feature due to a malfunction in their SMS verification system.

I play Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege on PC. Ubisoft requires users to link and verify a phone number via SMS in order to access Ranked mode. Despite repeated attempts, Ubisoft’s system fails to send any SMS verification code to my phone number, making it impossible for me to play Ranked.

I have taken extensive troubleshooting steps, including:

Attempting to link multiple valid phone numbers (my own, a family member’s, and a friend’s).

Ensuring all numbers are from legitimate mobile carriers (no VOIP or temporary numbers).

Waiting hours between attempts to avoid rate limits.

Clearing browser cache and trying on multiple devices and browsers.

Attempting verification through Ubisoft’s official account management website.

None of the phone numbers ever received an SMS.

When I contacted Ubisoft Support (Case #25028019), I explicitly requested assistance from a human support agent to investigate whether my account or region was blocked. Instead, Ubisoft provided a generic response stating that phone numbers are reviewed automatically and that “suspicious” numbers cannot be linked—without reviewing my account, without providing proof, and without offering any alternative verification method.

Despite my request for escalation to a human agent, Ubisoft closed my case unilaterally, leaving me unable to access a core feature of a game I own and paid for.

This is unacceptable for the following reasons:

Ubisoft is enforcing a mandatory verification system that does not function correctly.

Ubisoft refuses to manually review or resolve the issue.

Ubisoft provides no alternative verification method.

Ubisoft closes support cases without resolving the problem.

I am being denied access to Ranked mode through no fault of my own.

Desired Resolution:

I am requesting one of the following:

A manual review and removal of any block preventing SMS delivery to my account.

An alternative method of phone verification.

Or removal of the Ranked restriction from my account.

I am not requesting compensation—only access to the full functionality of a product I legally own.

Ubisoft’s refusal to assist and their practice of closing unresolved cases demonstrates poor customer service and unfair business practices. I am requesting BBB assistance to prompt Ubisoft to properly address this issue.

No matter what you do the support will just repeat that they wont help you completely disregarding anything you say. They are somehow worse than microsoft support and i am not sure if they are real or a myth. They treat their players like absolute garbage and do not care for the issues you face. I have never in my life come across such a rubbish support system like the one that Ubisoft has, they hacked the email to which the account was given, after I noticed this I gave the machine support all the information about my account, the game I bought, the card from which and when they were purchased, my complete identity, what other account was connected and what was the old password of the phone number and email address, I received a series of rejections from the machine operator

They force password changing without asking for it and when you ignore it they lock your account so you can't play the games you've paid for - an absolute disgrace.

The worst support that is out there!!

The worst support that is out there. If February My email got hacked and I lost my Ubisoft account and I tried to make an application for it or whatever you call it. I was giving proof that I owned the account and they kept declining my Emails and giving me strikes. And I still haven't been able to get it back. Do not spend $300 on an Ubisoft game like I did. Worst mistake.

Disgusting Customer Service

The Ubisoft servers are not sending any email to me when I try to do a password reset. I requested another way to validate my account since I possess the credit card that made the purchases and am the account holder. Here is the response I got:

Unfortunately, we couldn't find any communication sent to you from our servers. This could mean that it may be an error when requiring the reset password from your end.

Since none of the suggested solutions have worked, unfortunately we can only recommend you to reach your mail domain support directly for further support.

We also advise you to try on a different device or browser or to run a troubleshooting to your default browser to help solve this issue. Troubleshooting such as clearing your cache and cookies.

We understand that this is not the outcome you were hoping for, but we are limited in our capacity to facilitate your request.

Since I have already fulfilled your request, I will be closing this interaction, if you want you can re-open the case by replying or creating another case if you need further assistance.

This company sucks ass

This company sucks ass. They make you associate the games to a ubisoft account even if you buy them on steam. Then if someone hacks your account and steals it, they are worthless af!!! I will never buy another ubisoft game again as their customer support is worthless and do not listen to you at all. I have hundreds of dollars worth of their games on my steam account but cant play them because someone hacked my ubisoft account and stole it. Ive never experienced this level of incompetence in my life. DO NOT BUY THEIR GAMES!!

Just the Worst

Update: just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, it did. They pawned the issue off on Microsoft and closed the case with a nice classic copy and paste response without reading my follow-up message. It is very much NOT a Microsoft issue. Holy lawd mercy I’m beside myself.

I have never experienced such poor customer service… I actually decided to create an account here just to leave this review. The only thing they seem to do well is reply quickly, but every reply is just a copy-and-paste answer. They repeatedly ask for the same information, clearly aren’t reading the file, and keep passing it back and forth between agents. They don’t answer questions and have ignored my request for escalation FOUR times. When they finally claimed to escalate, the person handling it was just as unhelpful.

On top of that, they ask for files and videos, but the upload limits are absurdly small. I shouldn’t have to upload a video to YouTube just to send it to them.

Cherry on top is that they don’t even offer phone support. I’ve been going back and forth on the same issue for almost two weeks with absolutely zero progress. I am flabbergasted at how awful this experience has been. The amount of money I’ve spent on Ubisoft products… never again.
