Good prices and excellent customer…

Good prices and excellent customer service. We were kept in the loop regarding arrival times on the various parts of a large order. Alex (Customer Service) responded quickly to all questions we had before placing the order.

Poor after sales service

Communication regarding delivery was poor. I got a phone call at work from the delivery driver to say he'd be at my house with my delivery in 20 minutes and this was the first indication i had had as to when delivery was to be made. When my plumber started to install my new bathroom he informed me that the shower tray had not been supplied with a waste fitting, despite me having earlier emailed UK bathrooms to confirm that this would be supplied. After much toing and froing with emails I was told that a waste fitting would be supplied direct to me in a few days by the manufacturer of the shower tray. This delayed work on the bathroom and in the end I had to buy another waste fitting, as the promised one never arrived.

Can't be beaten on value

I was buying expensive brassware, and haven't found anyone to beat their prices.
The advisors are helpful amd knowledgeable and the service was great.

We spent more than £10k on bathroom…

We spent more than £10k on bathroom fixtures and fittings, but when we had a problem with a single they were unable to help us. Shameful service.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service - Buyers beware!
Ensure you pay by credit card or you wont have a leg to stand on with this company.
Item received was badly manufactured, upon asking for a fair resolution I have been accused of dropping the item and damaging it.
The item had never been dropped.
The fact that the item that cost over £500 was not fixed together properly in manufacture and the drawer fronts were falling apart is my complaint, not that it is damaged, in fact it is not damaged. Beware of this company and of inferior quality Bauhaus products that this company is selling with no customer support.

I can see it was deemed by the manufacturer Bauhaus that your Furniture issue was caused by incorrect/poor installation. Therefore the responsibly of replacing the unit is down to the installer. As the retailer we strive to give the best possible service and its disappointing when issues like this take place, but we cannot be held responsible for an installation mistake. In this case it is firmly up to your fitter to rectify. We believe we helped as much as possible and used everything at our disposal to resolve your issue. Even after the manufacturer stated it was an installation issue we went to the extent of offering a replacement at cost price to help you as a gesture of good will. I understand your frustration and I apologise we cannot help further. The offer still stands and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if we can help further.

It all started off well

It all started off well, measurements taken, advice given.

Order confirmed and lots of money exchanged. Sales agent leaves and things fall apart. Tiles not delivered as suggested, re order made. I then discover that the actual quantity ordered and paid for is way way to much.

When the tiles were short delivered I than had a potential issue with my builder, which is when the customer service evaporated. I had to chase the balance goods, and i honestly feel like no one cares.

Amateur night out is all I can say, and a performance that lacks any care for the client.

A very regrettable performance.

Bought a shower door from here that is …

Bought a shower door from here that is now too big to fit after having a problem with our subsequent tile delivery. The screen is still boxed - hasn't been touched since being delivered in April. When I emailed explaining the situation, to ask for a swap or refund (even offering to pay for return delivery), I was shut down with '...due to this being on site for over a month we cannot accept this back and give you a refund.' This is not a site, it's our home. What are we supposed to do with a brand new, boxed, shower screen that doesn't fit?? The email did, helpfully, offer to supply us with a price for new a smaller screen. What a joke!

Very good experience with staff members …

Very good experience with staff members in the Newbury shop offering great advise and are very knowledgeable. However, the customer service regarding delivery could do with some improvements:
a) we've been given two possible delivery dates but did not receive any further notification,
b) delivery time frames would be good to have (e.g.morning of afternoon delivery) and
c) the driver was on his own (a lovely chap) and said that he always has to rely on other peoples help. My husband was not at home hence I helped to carry a very very heavy slate shower tray (1800 x 900) into the house. We managed but I have to say that this is not good practise as heavy lifting can damage the back!

Below is something we put together for all showroom customers regarding our free local delivery service, so its clear from the start about the delivery of your bathroom products, and should help you decide the type of delivery you would like.

About Your FREE Delivery Service.

Please take the time to read this short explanation so that you know what to expect when we deliver your Bathroom items.
The delivery run is finalized the day before, unfortunately we cannot give timed deliveries as each drop may have its own difficulties due to the nature of the product we are delivering. However if you ring your sales adviser in the afternoon the day before they should be able to give you at least AM or PM.

Each Postcode has a designated delivery day that will no doubt have been advised to you by your sales person. Delivery on the designated day is free. If delivery outside of the schedule is required then this will likely be chargeable.
Somebody will need to be there to sign for, accept and help with the unloading of the goods. Please understand that many goods such as Shower trays, baths and shower glass are heavy and help will be needed on site to unload. If you are unable to assist then by arrangement we can send an additional pair of hands but this will incur a £50 surcharge.
As with all distribution we are governed by the insurance company guidelines. Due to historical issue the drivers are insured to deliver to ground floor and are not permitted or insured once in your home. If a member of our staff enters your property you are responsible for them and any damage that may be incurred. Please understand that this is not our rule but one which is stipulated by the insurance company.

BATHS, you will be asked to unwrap and check your bath and sign that it is in good condition. This ensures that our driver has got this to you in good condition. The driver is not permitted to leave a bath as ‘unchecked’
When the time comes to install your SHOWER DOOR, please make sure that either you or your plumber take the time to check the measurements of the finished shower are to ensure it fits. Each shower door has the measurements written on the outside of the box and cannot be accepted back once opened if size is the reason for return.
If you have any concerns or comments or if there are any issues when delivery is made please talk to your sales adviser who will be happy to help.

Brilliant all round!!

Came in to the Wallingford shop and had a huge amount of choice for my 2 bathrooms and cloakroom, almost immediately I got service from one of the sales guys. So not to sure why some people gave 1 stars.. Very Friendly Service!! And brilliant prices.

Took over a month to get the right parts

Absolutely shocking service. First shower drain missing, then wrong Cistern delivered, then wrong Cistern parts. Told to collect parts from store in Newbury; had to argue to get them to delivered to our address..as frankly didn't see why we should go in as their error. Still had to collect shower drain. This all took a month to sort out. Then needed to exchange shower and got told i had to pay 25% of purchase price. Never had to pay 25% to exchange anything before!

Unacceptable customer service

Terrible customer service. Sales team will make no sales with rude approach to customers. Instead of making purchase for 4 bathrooms I am writing review now.
I called them to place an order and person dealing with that over the phone had no intention of understanding what I need , and finally closed the line.
I can not believe that.

Good quick service and helpful staff.

I bought a bathroom suite from UK Bathroom Warehouse after being badly let down by Wickes (you can read my review of them on this site). Of course I should have come to UKBW first. I got through quickly on the phone to a helpful and knowledgeable member of the sales teams, who answered questions about items I wanted to order. I also got quick responses to emails when arranging delivery, which was on time and quick, and the driver put the items in my garage for me (not just dumped at the kerb.

It's a pity that there's a premium for Scottish delivery, but at least you've made that clearer on the website now.
