I contacted UK Pianos to receive a copy of the Howard Score (currently free) - a comprehensive and detailed list of digital pianos scored individually by Graham Howard for their authenticity with regards to key response and sound.

The list ranks the top 100 digital pianos with detailed scores for each one. I could easily identify what were the best models for my budget - the list was for me a priceless source of information to find my way through the jungle of digital pianos.

I intended to purchase a second-hand piano from UK Pianos as a result, but found a very good opportunity for a second-hand piano locally. I could quickly check the scoring for the piano and price range new. As a result I bought a fantastic second-hand piano and I was confident of getting a good instrument for my budget.

I found the guidance on the site extremely useful and comprehensive. It helped me shortlist so that when I went looking I knew what I was looking for and was able to make a final selection easily.

The only small criticism is that the 'bible' is perhaps too comprehensive and tries to list everything, but it is easy to skip over the long lists.

Overall an excellent site.

If you are looking to buy a Digital Grand Piano, avoid this company like the plague! We bought (at least we thought we were 'buying') a Digital Baby Grand Piano for our daughters Xmas back in 2016. We paid just under £900 in October '16 as a deposit and started to pay the £108 pm immediately thinking that the piano would be paid off after a fixed period of time. The desired piano wasn't available in time for Xmas so they sent a temporary replacement while we were waiting on it - all good so far. Our actual piano arrived at the end of February and it looked stunning (we'd ordered a white one) and for the first couple of weeks everything seemed perfect. The piano then started having all sorts of problems with the sound & pedals and we had their engineer out repeatedly trying to sort it - each visit usually lasted a few hours and he always left scratching his head and going to try something else so that led to another visit a few weeks later. During this time, our daughter couldn't use it properly in preparation for her piano exams but despite this, we diligently continued to make the payments as we had faith that it would be rectified and we wanted her to have the piano - after all, it was brand new! Fast Forward over a year and it's still isn't fixed (it now has absolutely no sound at all) and yet we still continued to make the payments so UK piano's have had just under £3,000 from us. We eventually told them that we'd had enough and we wanted to return the piano for a full refund so that we could go elsewhere and buy a reliable one. It was then that we were told (to our shock) that we didn't enter in a traditional finance agreement and instead it was purely a rental one - that made it worse as we'd be basically been 'renting' a piano that didn't work! We'd even paid over £1000 before we'd even received the thing! UK Piano's have reluctantly agreed to refund the payments from when the sound stopped completely (even though the issue started almost a year before that and just 4 weeks after receiving it) but they've refused to return everything else we'd paid until that point - even though we only had it working properly for 4 weeks!! That's totally out of order! We are now having to take action against them because of this so please be warned - If you want a piano, DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY! (unless you don't mind paying £1000's of your hard earned money for something unusable and for it to just sit and gather dust in your room)

It is difficult to compare all the features of different pianos with a simple number table, but this is the best attempt I have seen and saved me a lot of time while choosing piano for my daughter (i hope she will like kurzweil mp120, I ordered last week).

Terrible company.

Firstly, when I bought the piano on a hire to purchased basis. After the hire had finished they didn’t take out the final balance. 2 years later I get an email threatening I will be taken to court for “non-payment”....IT’S YOUR JOB TO TAKE THE FINAL BALANCE.

Secondly, after 1,5 years of owning the vehicle the sustain pedal stopped working. There’s no way it should have stopped working that soon. Specially after hardly being used.
Emailed the company, they suggested what was wrong, but offered no solution to help.

Absolutely gutted, all in all poor service and would not recommend this company.

This is definitely the best company in the UK to deal with if you want to purchase a keyboard or piano. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I have had experience of them previously when a former partner purchased a Yamaha CLP a few years ago. Living in the Isle of Man, virtually all the alternative suppliers within the UK were going to add on hefty carriage costs but UK Pianos delivered free of charge well within the promised time frame. So as I find myself needing to purchase another instrument I immediately contacted Graham at UK pianos. His comprehensive score sheet enabling me to decide my best buy is excellent and a great tool that avoids the need to do endless hours of research quite apart from the cost in 'phone calls, travelling around dealers etc. He also responded promptly to my e-mail with questions about the best instrument to purchase in my situation. Well done to him and his team. If you are serious about wanting to purchase an instrument this is the place to go and I can recommend them 100%. Well done and thank you.

Digital Piano Bible offers essential advice for anyone wishing to purchase an instrument. The Enfield store provides a great environment for trying out instruments. Strongly recommend.

I was asked to advise a local charity on the purchase of a suitable digital piano. The Howard Score was an invaluable aid in helping us to find the best instruments within the inevitable budgetary constraints. Once we have raised the cash I will certainly be recommending that they buy from UK Pianos.

Though I haven’t bought a piano yet, the superb information regarding the merits of different makes and keyboards versus acoustic pianos, which I have received from UK pianos has been invaluable in helping me to decide which instrument to go for when I do buy eventually. Almost certainly I will buy from UK Pianos too.

I learnt a lot about digital pianos from this bible. It's easy to read, very informative and gives great comparison of everything there is out there on the market. When I first read this I had no idea about digital pianos and now feel like an expert!

Thank you Graham for the help to find a new piano. I found the Piano Bible and Howard Score extremely helpful and informative using them made the choice much speedier and less stressful.

I bought a clavinova with a five year guarantee. So far so good but the LCD stopped working. The chap in the shop passed on to his colleague who passed on to an engineer, who advised me to turn the piano on and off pressing down the top key. That didn't work. he did call back and said he'd be in touch for someone to come out but I haven't heard from him again. Apparently Doncaster is too far for him to travel. I called the store again and the chap in the store said my colleage will call you and put the phone down when I asked for Yamahas details to contact them. Not impressive at all. I'll keep trying and maybe up a star or two depending on whether I get a reply or not.

Absolutely love my piano, Graham’s recommendation was perfect. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for their first piano. Service was seamless with a speedy delivery, excellent in every aspect ! !

Graham Howard has made a seemingly impossible task so much easier as, using his advice and guidance, we now know which of the huge number of electronic pianos on the market, we want to try out.
