Called in to exchange a 3.9kg Calor propane cylinder for a 6kg cylinder. They refused to exchange as it was "upon instructions from Calor Gas" that cylinders had to be like for like. When I showed the lady the Calor Gas webpage stating the 3.9kg and 6kg cylinders were in the same exchange group and could be exchanged, she still refused and said the Calor webpage was incorrect. The refusal of the employee to exchange was unbelievable..... she was right and Calor were wrong....apparently. No wonder people complain about staff attitudes. I went to Royal Quays Marina where they exchanged the cylinder without question. I know where to go in future.

**Update following UBC response. Having worked at a Calor Gas outlet myself I know the rules that Calor set. My point is it is not Calor who set the "like-for-like" rule as your Sales person would have me believe. It is UBC that set this rule for their customers, which contradicts the guidelines on the Calor website. I knew this, but having a Sales person tell me (incorrectly) otherwise demonstrates a lack of knowledge and the "we are right and you are wrong" attitude, even when I show the facts, is no more than ignorance combined with a touch of arrogance. Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore as I have a better and more cost effective supplier now. The matter is closed as far as I'm concerned.

My caravan went for service. When returned my immaculate water pump had been removed and replaced with a dirty broken pump held together with a tie wrap. When I became aware I sent 2 emails to request my pump. No reply so 2 phone calls which they did not return. I visited only to be offered a different dirty slightly damaged pump. I said if they can't give me one as good as mine they should replace with new. They offered to sell me one. I have had no apologies just "we've made a mistake, do you not make mistakes". A complaint letter was sent to the owner which has had no reply. Customer service is disgraceful.

You and your company are a disgrace. My pump was in the caravan when it was left. I have photo evidence with time, date and location which was in your yard. Your stupid remark I've lost it is unbelievable, but anything to protect your company. To any readers take notice of the negative reviews, that is the actual truth about this company. They are good until they get your money but there service after is very poor at the best.

We purchased a brand new Coachman caravan from UBC March 2024. The buying experience and hand over was brilliant and the selling team couldn't do enough. At the time we also bought the 3 year service plan. Having a service done over a day or two is a priority for us as our insurance is valid on the basis the caravan is at home with all security fitted, so this was checked before we purchased it.

On our first service we booked it in and were reassured it would be done in a day or two. Oh how we were wrong. The service team tell lies, deny conversations took place and are down right rude. The upshot was they wanted us to drop it off, with no idea when the service would actually be carried out, literally when they get round to it! Disgusting when you spend knocking on 50k for a caravan such poor customer service. I have lost all faith in the company due to the disgraceful way they speak to you, absolutely speechless.

You did not even wait for a reply but proceeded to troll us leaving a damming review on TrustPilot which is defamatory saying you were lied to, which you were not.

It was explained that it was just bad timing due to staff sickness that the service could not be carried out that day but would be done the next working day. No promises were ever made for a same day service, but if we could then we would.

Our CCTV is not in a format which can be downloaded without a separate standalone player.

Please remove the TripAdvisor review or we shall be forced to consider legal action.

We recently purchased a new Bailey Phoenix caravan.
We are delighted with our purchase and equally delighted with the service and attentiveness we received. A big thank you to John Jewitt who guided our purchase expertly from the initial look around to the handover. John was exceedingly patient and explained everything in detail, making sure we understood and felt confident with the operation of the equipment in our new caravan. Bought a motorhome from United British Caravans, the sales experience was painless and the salesman was very knowledgeable. After a few weeks we found a couple of issues and contacted the service department, We found the service advisors very welcoming and empathetic, The issues were addressed very quickly and we were soon back on the road living our dream, Thank you UBC

After reading Edward Massey's unfair review l myself have purchased a used Elddis caravan from UBC with extra warranty, unfortunately a damp repair was required at the first service and I had previously been informed that a manufacturers warranty if it was transferred into my name would've reduced from ten years down to six years from inception of which is why I took out the extra warranty, and still have two years peace of mind warranty on my six year old caravan. Sales and service
department I can assure you were absolutely exceptional in every way.

What a great place. I had to stop there as i was running low on gas, as I’m away up to Scotland. Got my gas sorted, but didn’t expect to find so many gadgets in store. It’s like Aladdin’s cave in there. Ended up with a robens phone charger that uses firewood to charge your phone, for my wild camping, an inflatable bed and a couple of chairs. Staff were fantastic and I’ll be coming back for my awning there too.

We purchased our Caravan from United British Caravans a few years ago, staff were friendly & helpful & took their time to show us different makes & models, competitive prices. Service department very helpful. The shop is very well stocked, gem of a place, nowhere else like it! Staff always available for advice. Positive experience, wouldn't hesitate to recommend 👌

I bought a caravan off these guys and all the paper work was all done correctly they were brilliant and I have caravan serviced off them which has always been really good and nothing ever a problem to them there after sales and advice I've always found really good and very informative the shop has a good range of camping and caravan stock available at competitive prices one of the best caravan dealers around at moment highly recommend them

In 2016 I bought an old tourer caravan from a gumtree advert. As a single mum on a low income this was going to be a way for my little boy and I to go off on mini adventures. However, as a naive buyer I was sold nothing more than a crumbling mess. I was devastated and tried to find ways to fix up the van. UBC heard about my plight and asked to visit me. A manager came to my home and said he would like to take the van and fix it up for me over the winter so it would be safe for my and my son to have our adventures the following year. They didn't want a penny from me, just wanted to do something nice.
A few weeks later they gave me the devastating news that my cute caravan was, in fact, a death trap that was so rotten the only thing that could have happened was the actual van coming away from the trailer base mid journey. I was heartbroken, having just found out my son had severe issues with his kidneys, looked like we would never get our adventures.
Alex the owner then rang me to say they were on the look out for a replacement and a few weeks later arrived with the most beautiful 2 berth tourer that we went on to love for the next few years!
I'd go to them in a heartbeat next time we buy a caravan. They were absolute diamonds.

Can't recommend this company enough - a professional approach with personal touches to ensure that you get what you need, at a fair price.

2021 I purchased a caravan from UBCaravans the service by Sales team until del was fantastics advice on suitable caravan for our needs with no pressure,
On picking caravan up for first trip , advise was given on what I would need , Handover was a pleasure, Sales team give me personal telephone number to call for any advice on the trip , which I did a couple times , Will continue to use there services, Thank u to all at United British caravans

The helpfulness and professionalism of UBC on the purchasing of my caravan was amazing. I bought my van last year and have just picked it back up from having its first service. Again I was bowled over by their entire staff in making the process go ever so smoothly. I could not recommend them highly enough. Again. Thank you so much.
