Terrible service from one of the sales staff we had to deal with more than once.
Carpet in one of the rooms needs replacing as it's become uneven and not lying flat. The nails used to secure threshold strips have been drilled at an angle and not safe to step on.

Excellent service

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Love the carpet and at a decent price.

Won't be using these again, we were told up to 2 weeks to have the carpet delivered into store, after the second week we had to start chasing. Got nothing but excuses and told to wait another 2 weeks. Totally unapologetic and rude staff (sam and David), only good point is the refund.
Waste of time. Avoid at all costs.

Guys who sorted the carpet were very helpful and professional. Carpet looks great. I'm really pleased.

Fantastic service and super soft carpet, came in just needing a small area of carpet worried I might have to buy a full sized one. A polite tall Salesman (Sham I think his name is) came up to me and found me a good size grey carpet. Very pleased.

United Carpets were great. Shop experience 5*. Carpet excellent. 2* rating is due to one of the fitters behaving like a arrogant idiot. He had his son working with him - a very young, quiet, polite boy of maybe 17 years old. His father was off hand to the point of rudeness to him, often embarrassing him. When I mentioned that the young lad was very polite and probably just lacking in confidence, his father said, “Oh he just needs knocking into shape” (or similar).
In order to fit the carpet into the bedroom, this older guy moved the bed, taking out the 2 drawers. He did everything at a high speed with a lot of clattering about and told me he didn’t stand around, he liked to get the job done. However, it turned out, after the team had left, I went to open a drawer and it was jammed. (worked very smoothly before). I had to get a friend with more muscle power to get the drawer out, where we found that the metal runner was bent at nearly 90’. That guy must have just rammed the drawer in and, if it was slightly off the runners, the force had bent it. My friend managed to fix it with a large hammer and it now works OK but not as smoothly as previously.
Probably, I should have reported this immediately but I was busy - just moved in etc. There was a third guy involved as a fitter who was perfectly nice, polite and most acceptable. However, if the offending guy was coming to my house for another fitting, I wouldn't let him over the doorstep. Shame how one idiot can darken the name of a decent carpet store, exceptionally polite and helpful guy who did the quote and what seemed like one well mannered carpet fitter and a shy but polite young lad.
Everything else UC did was fine. Sorry to have to complain about one aspect of your service but if I don’t tell you how will you know?

I can't fault the price or quality of the carpet or the selection but I felt the customer service to be lacking. I had to chase up the guy who was coming to quote. There was no detailed quote and the 'free fitting' promotion is confusing as the price is discounted but you actually have to pay the fitter direct.... I arranged to go and pay in store at a certain time but when I got there they were about to lock up. I was supposed to have been called when carpet arrived but again had to ring to find out it was there.
The carpet looks lovely but fitters didn't hoover up afterwards (like previous fitters from Shipley store have done) and there are scuff marks on paintwork - some unavoidable but others avoidable.

Rubbish, carpet smelt of cigarette

Called in on a whim, and we were so pleased we did. Looking at vinyl flooring for a kitchen and utility room refurbishment. Met with David who guided us to the right area. Found something we liked, paid and arranged a fitting time. Fitters arrived a bit late but did a fantastic job of fitting it. Really recommend this Keighley branch of United Carpets. Thank you David and Co.

Really appreciated the knowledge and advice given and all options were offered. It has got to be mentioned how great everyone was from choosing products, arranging to budget, timing of service and the expertise of the fitters. We did go for quotes from other companies and were not easy customers but price and service provided was excellent and we would use them every time. Strongly recommend them.

Very good service staff was excellent and helped guide me into a well informed purchase

Terrible service. We had chosen which laminate we wanted but when we went to order it the staff tried to pursuade us to have the type they had loads of in stock. We said no we want this one, then they tried to put us off saying it would take a couple of weeks to be delivered. We said that's fine and were then told they didn't have a fitter available so we ended up fitting it ourselves. Someone came to measure up but then no one rang us with a price, I rang them and was told they thought we had changed our mind and could we go in to choose what we wanted, we had already chosen and the guy in store had written it down! We had ordered more than we needed to cover wastage and it was a good job, most of one box were broken like it had been dropped. We were also going to order a carpet but were quoted a ridiculous price for a carpet that wasn't labeled with a price per meter in store. When we said we would think about it he went away and came back with a price £700 cheaper because he'd made a mistake. Had he or were they trying it on to see what we would pay? Won't be going back.

Great bed, great price and even delivered himself as I needed a new bed last minute and delivery was fully booked. Could not have asked for better service.
