The Union are very loth to act, even though you may have strong evidence that would stand up in a criminal court case, not a work place dispute. The result is that employers view this union as too... See more

I can't put nothing one star
I can't put nothing one star. But not do anything defend the company not the member. Call many times and didn't call me back. Waste the money.
Patronizing
Only ever called the once, and once was enough. I missed the first phone call, and received a voicemail saying he'd call me at 10:30 the next day. I thought that was handy, around break time. He phoned at 8:30 causing me to be delayed in my job. Was patronizing and wouldn't answer any further questions I had, only gave the same answer as he did. I got it loud and clear the first time. I got on with my job and then made contact when I settled down from being cross. I cancelled my membership immediately.
Very poor...
Very poor.
I am a member of Unite and phoned up to ask for support with a work issue and the lady on the phone could not have been less helpful.
She saw my call as a huge inconvenience to her day and did everything she could to get me off the phone.
She didn't even say goodbye and just put the phone down.
For clarity, I was very polite.
If you are looking for a supportive union, that you can count on when needed, look elsewhere.
Avoid at all cost
I unfortunately had a terrible experience with an inexperienced officer who had to keep checking answers to questions, told incorrect information and kept saying how busy he was with other cases. Didn’t give the full attention required to case. Avoid at all cost!
Awful company that lacks support and professionalism
Was a decent company until a new PM in charge. Now, that I needed help, is a terrible experience and not interested in helping.
I've paid for over 20 years and this is the worst they've ever been. Save your money.
The worst organisation in my life that…
The worst organisation in my life that have come across!!! This company sucks the money and life out of their members. They are rude and disrespectful and this is all they way from management down to admin- the management make it ok to behave horribly and that’s why this union is going down the drain!!! The MPs are going to hear about the experience I’ve had and I will ensure that this organization pays for what they’ve put members through!!! Shame on you money sucking vultures!!!!
Wish i could give a zero
Wish i could give a zero. I have supported myself. Years of paying subs and when you need the help and support you get none. I am so disappointed with unite and urge people to join another union. Called up to make a complaint and was given an email address and told they will cancel my subscription without my complaint being dealt with first.
Bad experience
Hi I have been the member of GMB union from many years when I needed help for minor case they raised so many questions about my membership to avoid the represent the case i recommend everyone think twice before you join i had very bad experiences is waste of money.
They literally never been help at all
They literally never been help at all.
You email someone and it takes ages for them to get back to you.
Shocking
Terrible Service (You Don't Get What You Pay For)
I signed up for Unite, thinking they'd be able to deliver quick employment help if I found myself in a situation where I needed it. I called today only to discover that all they do is pass your details onto someone else who may or may not contact you at an undetermined time. Seriously, folks. This is what paying members get -- nothing. I'm shocked at how awful the system is to receive advice (literally the whole point of your service, Unite).
Unresponsive
Once I started my direct debit payments, they were unreachable by phone and they have not responded to any of my emails and written correspondence by snail mail they know I am not happy and that I needed their help and they have not once replied to any of my emails. egardless they kept charging me. The dircet debit was active for 5 months.
This organization is trying to bring back the bubonic plague.
This union is directly responsible for all the rats and uncollected rubbish in Birmingham.
Waste of time an money
Waste of time and money… they have no power at all .. been member for nearly 20 years , feel like they sold me out to the company when needed the help .. been fighting for nearly 3 years with zero help from Unite .. with private company had to pay got the positive outcome within 2 weeks.. so save your money and when u need help go private..
Waste of time and money
Waste of time and money. No response to emails and zero extra customers
Positive experience
My membership issue was quickly resolved. Great response time and advice from Mariusz. Thank you!
NO REFUND for ex-member's monthly fee
NO REFUND for ex-member's monthly fee. Support workers which make the city does not function (in bins collection). Support Labour which still wants to make money from CCP and do not fight for British values - freedom, democracy.
Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers. They take your money without anything in return!!! 100% to be avoided. I don't usually leave reviews so please take my word for this!
Monthly Union Subscription
