Put phone down on me mid sentance

Put phone down on me while discussing bringing a car in from another dealership. Two days after they said it was no problem to bring it back as they had cars going between them all the time they had gone cold on the idea and where wanting money and guarantees from me on a car i had not seen properly or ever driven. Honesty about the situation from the start would have been nice. Or even just ending the phone call politely rather then hanging up on me mid sentence.

Fantastic service from Matt at Unity Balsall Common

We’ve just collected a brand new MG ZS from Unity Automotive in Balsall Common. We’ve been impressed from the get-go with this garage, we’ve dealt with a young chap, Matt (by the door) he’s not been pushy at all, no hard sell, very knowledgeable about the different vehicles and finance options available to us. Respectful of our wishes & budget. Gave us a fair price for our part-ex trade in. We would definitely recommend Matt to someone else looking to purchase an MG in the area.

I’ve just had my Ssangyong serviced for the 4th consecutive year, happy to report all is well with the vehicle, and as usual received the courteous and professional service I have come to expect from all the staff at both the Leicester and Coventry branches of Unity.

Excellent service

Excellent service, no hard sell whatsoever, just courtesy and a lot of knowledge & transparency at this dealership. I bought a used Subaru XV and am very pleased with the fair deal I got and the peace of mind of the quality and safety of the car. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this dealership- which is in a different league from the other car dealerships I visited- or the Subaru.

My turismo 4wd had broken unity was…

My turismo 4wd had broken unity was fixing this under warranty they had the car the first time for 7 weeks and no courtesy car was available, the 4wd kept breaking or was not fixed properly, the third time it broke there was a whining noise Sonia assured me the car was fixed and the noise had gone, it was still there and still no 4wd yet Sonia was adamant there was on noise I took the car to a different dealer who heard the noise and still no 4wd identified the problem immediately, unity were also very slow at passing on part numbers and other documents to mtc at Whittlesey the car was fixed properly this time the car was of the road for nearly 6 months no apology nothing

Excellent customer service at Balsall…

Excellent customer service at Balsall Common branch

I've recently had two of our family cars MOt'd at the Balsall Common dealership, and I must say I have been impressed by the high quality of service provided by them. I have also had one of the car serviced, and I am very pleased by their courteousness, professionalism and fair pricing. One of the cars failed its MOT on faulty bulbs, but Unity automatically replaced them without fuss at insignificant extra cost. The cars were also cleaned to a high standard. This is the level of service all garages should aspire to. I shall be returning.

Great service, high quality

Had some work on my bmw done at Unity Leicester and I can’t fault the service. The work was done to a high standard using quality parts and the complimentary wash left my vehicle gleaming. Jack A, the aftersales manager, kept me informed throughout the entire process and ensured I knew exactly what was being undertaken. I had a courtesy car so I could go about my day as normal whilst my car was being worked on. I highly recommend the team at Unity. Keep up the good work!

SHOCKING SERVICE

SHOCKING, NON-EXISTING CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!
DO NOT USE THEM !!
I will not list all the issues that I have had with Unity Automotive as it will be a really long read. So here is the condensed version.
I purchased a vehicle from Unity back in April 2021 and the problems started as soon as got back home. Since then I have had problems with the vehicle not starting at all (eventually repaired after I contacted the supplier/manufacturer myself).
Every time I contact unity (even the web assistant who told me they would get back to a week ago and I've still heard nothing) there is either no reply, he's on the phone, not at his desk, they are too busy etc.etc. or fobbed off to someone else in another department and then eventually told someone will ring me back'!! No one gets back !!!!
My vehicle had to get repaired as it wouldn't start last September. After the usual 'I will ring you back when it's ready' I eventually contacted the supplier/manufacturer myself to try and get it fixed 3 weeks later. I eventually got the vehicle back after a month and and at least 15 phone calls to Unity WHO WERE OF NO HELP whatsoever. Just 'I'll ring you back'... then nothing.
Last week the vehicle again failed to start and after contacting Unity again had all the usual stuff above. I contacted the supplier/manufacturer myself and pleaded with them to help with the problems I am having with Unity. Their reply was 'someone from Unity will contact you. Well surprise, surprise no one has.
My vehicle is my livelihood and without it I cannot work, after losing a lot of money (hundreds of pounds) the last time the vehicle was in repair) I am now still sat at home, a week after first contacting Unity, without any income at the busiest time of the year, unable to work, and again losing money with no one helping me to sort this situation out...... !

I must warn everybody out there thinking of purchasing a vehicle from Unity that as soon as you drive off the forecourt your nightmare could only just begin......unfortunately for me I'm still in it !!!

P.S I will update if anything happens, but in the mean time I shall be writing more reviews about my issues with Unity, sending out links to this one and contacting the Motor Ombudsman.

PPS By the way, it was a brand new vehicle !!

Failure to respond to service problem

After service I had to repeatedly chase for the inspection report. Warning notice re brakes came on soon after. Inspection report said pads needed replacing. Tried repeatedly to get response from service manager and used web 'chat option. Still no contact received. Customer service is rubbish. Pity as I like Alfa

Terrible Balsall Common
Paid deposit 3 months ago for brand new car … and you delivered the wrong car, no apology … no help … no car … and trying to blame me!!, even though the paper work shows it’s clearly your fault! Service has been horrible .. I’ll take my £35k elsewhere, always give negative feedback and go somewhere reputable… unity … I do hope you contact me.

Time for a new car

Me & my husband came here to have a look for a new car as it was time for a change.. Will came to see if we needed help no pressure left us to have a look round. Oxford garage

Oxford garage, I called and asked if they would sort out my paint bubbling on my bonnet, so they booked me in and when I got there the guy was very unhelpful trying to make out my pristine car had been in an accident and the bonnet was resprayed (I work with classic cars and I know rubbish when I hear it). He said he would get quotes for me and let me know if Jeep will do it under warranty, we’ll that was 6 weeks ago now and when I email to chase up they are ignoring me. Pathetic if you don’t want to do the job have the balls to tell me straight out.
No contact is rubbish customer service.

Beware

I bought a Volvo from these guys in November last year. It was registered as exported to Ireland so impossible to register and tax. It was clamped and Unity took it back while they tried unsuccessfully to resolve the situation. I was without a car or my money for 16 weeks. Left out of pocket and massively inconvenienced. I would be very careful before entering into any transaction with this business. Very poor indeed.

Matt's Legends!

Matt/Jonny and the team at Unity Oxford were superb from start to finish. They listened to my needs and preferences, then found me a car to suit and in budget... All in a matter of a couple of days! The car is exactly perfect, the service was second to none, so thanks Unity. Highly recommend this dealer.
