Had a fabulous trip with UTP once again. First time was to Romania and second (most recent) trip was the Puglia experience. So much lined up for us to keep us happy: pasta making class, bakery visit,... See more

Halloween Dracula experience - fantastic tour!
We had a great time on the Halloween Dracula experience tour! From the start the booking process was super easy. Throughout the tour our guide Marius was super friendly, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond in our trip to make sure everyone had a great time! The Halloween party at Bran Castle was such a fun experience and definitely worth doing! All the hotels booked were lovely and boutique and visiting the different towns through Transylvania was fascinating to see, we even saw a bear on our trip down the Transfăgărășan road which was amazing! Highly recommend the Dracula experience and untravelled paths!

The Dracula Experience in Romania is…much better than you think
The Dracula Experience in Romania is not one to be missed.
We had the most amazing time on this tour visiting lots of places. There are some absolutely stunning hidden gems here. Be prepared for a lot of driving miles although the scenery is fantastic. Every overnight hotel was excellent, but our favourite was the stay in Brasov .
Our guide Alin was fantastic nothing was too much trouble even organising alternatives when a one of the locations were not open. His knowledge of his country is excellent full of interesting stuff about the country. We also did the extra bear watching experience which Alin organised for us but sadly none appeared (nature is very unpredictable),but we did encounter one on the roadside next day on the Transfaragarasan highway.
We cant recommend this tour highly enough. But go later in the season if possible less congested with other tourists, we were also lucky enough to be in a group of only 4 us included which gave us more time at each location.

Romania 2022 Experience
Amazing country, beautiful people, safe place for tourist. UTP gave us an excellent itinerary and well organized. Everyday, I discovered and learned something new about their culture and their way of living.
Mario our tour guide is very informative, supportive and nicely professional. Mario you are a star , an asset of this company.
Thank you UTP , I highly recommended.
Fantastic experiences with UTP
I've taken my third trip with UTP, this time to Romania. Such a beautiful country, had an amazing experience made even better by our guide Mario. He's so lovely, took great care of us and he's so much fun. I found UTP to be very caring every time and will travel with them again. Thank you for another fantastic trip, UTP and Mario.

Bush Baby, Baby!
I've taken several trips with Untravelled Paths, and from start to finish, each journey has been spectacular. Most recently, I took my daughter to Botswana for an Okavenga Delta safari and stay in the Makgadikgadi Pans. The adventure was mind-blowing. Can't honestly say which I was most impressed with...the breadth and scope of natural wonders we explored or the detailed planning for a mobile camp. Glamping and lodges may be great for some, but you 'ain't seen nothing yet' til you've experienced a bedroll under the stars in a desolate lunar landscape. Hint-don't forget to ask for a Bush Baby.
If you want your travel experience to diverge from what others are doing, skip the tour buses, and head straight to Untravelled Paths.

JUST BOOK ..... You Wont be Disappointed…
Just completed 5 day tour of Puglia including Matera, Alberobello, Locorotondo and Bari plus a few other places in between.we stayed in amazing accomodation and had organised activities including pasta making, olive oil tasting , visit to a DOP bakery and bike ride in Bari. The whole trip was fantastic from start to finish, so well organised. The people UTP work with on each activity are superb. But the best part was our Guide Marius - he never stopped - whether he was transporting us, informing us, booking a restaurant or just checking everything OK via text he is without doubt the best tour guide we have ever come across. His efficiency and care for guests is second to none. We had the trip of a lifetime with experiences we will never forget. We waited 2yrs due to covid for this tour and during that time UTP/ Marius could not have been more helpful and supportive of any necessary changes. All I can say is if you book with UTP you will not be disappointed. This was our 2nd trip and won't be our last.

Another great holiday with UTP
This was our 5th UTP trip- this time to Slovenia. In one week we experienced city life; high Alps; alpine meadows; waterfalls; caves and coast all led superbly by Arne, our very knowledgeable and personable guide from whom we learned a lot about the history of this beautiful and diverse country. My advice to newbie bookers for any UTP holiday is to be flexible in your approach to the itinerary which might need to be adapted to take account of local situations or the weather and also ensure you have a good level of fitness since even the day to day activities on all the holidays we have experienced have required this. You will need to move your own luggage sometimes along stony tracks or within hotels without lifts but if in any doubt check at the booking stage. We have always found the staff and guides extremely helpful- we would not be returning customers if this was not the case. We look forward to exploring future destinations with UTP and until then will enjoy our memories of Slovenia.
FABULOUS
Having already experienced the fabulous Dolce Vita trip with UTP and the lovely Marius as our guide, we have just returned from Montenegro and we were certainly not disappointed. Our guide Ilija was so knowledgeable, interesting, kind and could not do enough for us. We had to alter our itinerary slightly due to one of our group being unwell, and Ilija just took it all in his stride and sorted everything out for us. Thanks to Ilija and the whole team - a first class travel company and we can not recommend them enough. We will definitely be returning for another exciting trip soon.

Absolutely Marvellous
Just back from our second trip with UTP. First trip was to see the bears in Romania and this trip was the mini Bosnia experience. We added on a extra day so we had more time in Dubrovnik which is a really useful option. Our guide was Ilija from Montenegro who was excellent from start to finish. He arranged the pick up from the airport and drop-off back to the airport on the final day. He was a fountain of knowledge and as we were on a private tour we could stay pretty much as long or as little as we wanted to in each of the stop off points. The whole trip was amazing. Although there is some travelling the time goes really quickly because the scenery is so good. When we went to Sarajevo Illia had arranged for us to meet with a local guide who was actually in the army when they were digging the tunnel under the runway. You can't get a better experience than talking to someone that was actually on the front line during the war. The hotels were all clean, sanitized, of a good standard and were very well located in the various locations. We are already looking at our next trip with UTP because our experience so far has been so good. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.

I completed my 4th UTP trip on the 2nd of May.
I can only echo Julia's words from the 15th of May about UTP. Hi Julia, I hope you are well. I wouldn't keep coming back if UTP's trips were not these snapshot, quality trips bursting with genuine globetrotter gems. On the 5 days spent in Dubrovnik & Bosnia we sailed up to a waterfall, visited a Dervish house in a pretty location, cable car to the '84 winter bobsleigh run, stood on the spot that sparked WW1, ate nettle in every dish at the Singing Nettle, Sarajevo (a must do!), completed a walking foodie tour of Sarajevo, visited the harrowing Crimes against Humanity museum, journeyed the underground Tunnel of Hope that kept Sarajevo free in the Bosnian War, stood on the famous, rebuilt bridge at Mostar, walked within the walls of Dubrovnik. I defy any other holiday firm to cram so much in in so little time as UTP do.
Thanks Ilija, great trip, again. deliberately held back on reviewing after the English Premier League outcome. Commiserations to James & yourself 😂. Your boys pushed my super sky blue boys all the way. Now holidayed out until August next year but, I reckon North Ethiopia with you next with Colombia following it.
Incidentally, my 3 other trips have been Ice Hotel & Romania, Ballooning in Cappadoccia & Istanbul visit, Skiing in Morocco & Marrakesh.

Untravelled Paths are absolutely fab!
Untravelled Paths are absolutely fantastic. I have now done four trips with them (Romania, Montenegro, Slovenia and Bosnia) and have just booked my fifth. I absolutely love the amazing locations; Dracula's Castle, the Sarajevo luge run, Lake Bled and waterfalls in the middle of the Bosnian countryside. Every member of the team is great, so nice and helpful and go out of their way to make the trip the absolute best it can be. I have done two trips with Ilija as the guide and he is such a nice guy. He is really knowledgeable, does everything that he can to help and makes sure that you have a great time. I can't recommend UTP enough; every trip is amazing and each member of their team is fantastic.

Dolce Vita Delight !
Just returned from the Dolce Vita experience in Puglia. Fantastic trip from start to finish . A group of 6 friends travelled together and witnessed some amazing “ off the beaten track “ places . Marius our guide was fist class , his language skills exceptional . He had equal measure of professionalism and knowledge and was able to answer any and all of our questions ! This is our second trip with UTP . Great operation and set up - they are an incredible, value for money company and we will be returning soon .

Magnificent Morocco
Recently returned with my best travel buddies from the mini Sarah Experience. It was fabulous. Abul was the prefect guide and added to the whole experience. All accommodation was out of this world. The itinerary was fabulous. This was my second trip with Untravelled Paths and cannot believe that this exceeded the Ice Hotel in Romania. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to our next trip, so look after those huskies in Slovenia please!! Yvonne V

Our second adventure with Untravelled Paths can’t wait for the third!
Our second adventure with Untravelled Paths of which we had to wait 2 years for. This time it was The Mini Sahara Experience.
Our expectations yet again were well and truly exceeded. Abdul our guide was fantastic, making sure we were looked after every step of the way.
Accommodation was jaw dropping!
I am looking to book Bosnia later this year with a different group of friends and Husky Sledging next year with the same friends.
Fingers crossed Vietnam and Cambodia will be on the list in the future.
Well done James and the team!

We LOVED our tour guide Marius
We LOVED our tour guide Marius. Very pleasant, informed and a lot of fun. He really couldnt do enough, booked us restaurants and really tried to cater to everyone. He is responsive and caring, even late at night. We had the most Amazing hotel rooms and i think maybe that was just luck on our part. Its a quick trip and a lot of travelling to fit it all in. Make sure you have lots of thermals if you are going in winter/spring. As an extra we would have loved Marius to be mic’d up on the bus journeys so we could hear him at the back of the bus, as we had loads of questions and would have loved a commentary. We would throughly recommend the Dracula tour. We just wish we had more time there :)
We were obviously conscious of the proximity of Romania to Ukraine but we felt extremely safe. (If anyone has any worries about this).I think all our friends will be booking up, just from looking at our photos! ‘Fangs’ for everything! X

The Iberian Lynx tour
The Iberian Lynx tour was a great experience, so beautiful up in the mountains and Seville is such a cool city. Our tour guide Marius was very helpful and friendly. We had a couple of last minute things to sort out prior to arrival and he was very responsive, even late into the evening. We would certainly travel with UTP again.
JUST BOOK IT ALREADY :)
My friend and I joined Untravelled Paths for their Dracula-themed tour, and it was SUCH a blast! The itinerary was fully of incredible gems, but there was also enough time to take a breather and explore on our own. Plus, Marius was an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful guide. Overall, would 100% recommend this experience to anyone who's a little nerdy and wants to see as much of Romania as possible in a short (but well-managed) amount of time!

We had such a fabulous time on our husky trip to Slovenia. Thank you untravelled paths and our fab guide Arne looking forward to booking our next trip
Fantastic & Faultless company
It is a shame that there are some negative reviews, but you have to realise that they are very SUBJECTIVE and not really relevant.
UTP cannot be held responsible for the weather or the impact of Covid and the cost of eating in Caru du Bere is nowhere near £115pp (more like £30pp including alcohol at 2022 prices)!
My partner and I booked the Ice Hotel experience but unfortunately, due to COVID, it was not built. My balance for the holiday was due early December 2021 but UTP refused to take payment until they were sure of the details and also about Covid restrictions travelling from the UK.
Three weeks before travel, they advised that the Ice Hotel had not been built and gave me three options; postpone to next year, an alternative trip or a full refund of my deposit.
I chose an alternative trip which included Peles Castle, Bran Castle, Brasov, Sighisoara, Sibiu and husky driving.
What a fantastic trip! Four days felt like a week and our guide, Marius M was like a personal butler, looking after every detail and becoming a great friend.
Based on this trip, we will definitely be using their services again.
