The Puglia Experience.
Had a fabulous trip with UTP once again. First time was to Romania and second (most recent) trip was the Puglia experience. So much lined up for us to keep us happy: pasta making class, bakery visit, vineyard tour, and also olive grove, not forgetting a bike ride around Bari to finish off with. Our guide, Eduard Sandu was brilliant throughout, so knowledgeable and so helpful. Cannot fault UTP, will certainly go again.
montenegro
I took my first tour with them to Montenegro. I find it hard to find the words to describe how happy I am. It was the 4 night mini Montenegro tour. Everything was wonderful. The hotels they booked were terrific. The hotel on the last kind of took me back because it was a rustic "village" but it grew on me quickly. The transfers to and from Dubrovnik that that they booked for me were great. The sites they took us to visit were absolutely amazing. Perhaps the best part of the tour was the treatment I received. I advised them before the trip that I had mobility issues. I don't need a wheelchair, but I have trouble with long distances and prolonged standing. My guide, Iliva, was so caring and attentive that I never felt at risk. There were many times that I was wandering and I would turn around and look for him and he would be looking directly at me. He never let me feel like I was at risk anywhere. He made my trip amazing.
Great Experience
Our trip to Romania was amazing, providing great experiences throughout. Seeing some of the beautiful nature, architecture, history and wildlife that Romania has to offer was truly breathtaking and made even better by being welcomed to Bucharest and Brasov by our guides Dragos & Cristina with their extremely welcoming nature and wealth of knowledge to share about the country, it's history and the land marks we visited.
This knowledge and experience really enriched our visit, highlighting many areas and things to learn about a beautiful culture and country that has so much to offer.
An amazing experience overall that I would really recommend!
Bosnia Herzegovina great trip, amazing country
Just back from a week in Bosnia Herzegovina our second Untravelled Paths trip. We were curios about this country, aware of its recent history and the itinerary looked a great place to start. As with our last trip, the pick-ups were smooth and our two guides, Emir and Aid, were really informative about the culture and history and the places we visited. Accommodation was interesting in a very good way and the pace of the trip worked well for us with a mix of guided tours and time to explore by ourselves. I definitely recommend both Untravelled Paths and a trip to Bosnia Herzegovina.
5 star company and 5 star country
We traveled to Montenegro in July 2025 with Untravelled Paths and can highly recommend them. James was able to put a bespoke itinerary together for our group to accommodated 2 x 13 year old boys and it was the perfect mix of activities, sights and tours and relaxing. Iliya is their local guide and made our holiday complete. Perfect English with a great sense of humour, amazing knowledge and very hard working. Every minute of the day he insured we had everything we needed and it all ran smoothly. It's an incredible country and I wouldn't hesitate to go back with Untravelled Paths in the future.
We booked our first trip with Untravelled Paths and are already researching our next one
We booked our first trip with untravelled paths for their Montenegro tour and were absolutely delighted with it. Our guide, Iliya was so knowledgable but also just such a nice guy that it felt like being shown around a new country by an old friend. He also had that great skill of knowing when to chat and knowing when to just sit back and let us enjoy things. Everywhere we went Iliya was welcomed with open arms, a testimony to the fact that they pick their locations for the tour with care and attention. The country itself was amazing (our first visit) but what really made it special was the expertly curated itinerary plus Iliya to guide our way. We are already researching our next trip with them and no, we aren’t on commission, nor do we know anyone in the company!
An Amazing Week in Bosnia and Herzegovina With An Exceptional Guide.
We have just returned from an amazing week in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As with our previous experience with UTP in Romania, the service was excellent in every respect, from initial booking, information beforehand, taxi transfers to and from Dubrovnik Airport (thank you Mladen), accommodation and the comprehensive itinerary. Emir, our guide, was truly exceptional. He demonstrated maturity and knowledge beyond his years. He gave a balanced view of the Country's history and recent events. He ensured that throughout our trip we saw and experienced as much of this fascinating country as possible. His driving often involved long distances but we always felt safe. Emir was very kind and thoughtful and had a keen sense of humour. He looked after us really well and became a genuine friend, not just a guide.
It was a memorable week, which was well organized and very good value. We would highly recommend a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina with Untravelled Paths. Thank you!
Georgia Experience
Our 3rd trip via Untravelled Paths and our first visit to Georgia. We rate UP's guided trips very highly. Small groups, excellent guides, interesting sites and packed agendas. Our Georgia trip was one of our best hoildays ever. A beautiful interesting country with so much variety. A busy 8 days is plenty to see a wide variety of experiences. Our local guide, Makho, was excellent. Incredibly knowledgable and helpful and great company for the week. We highly recommend this trip (and Makho) if you want a packed week of unique sites, experiences and food. All hotels were excellent.
The Georgia Experience.
We have just returned from a 10 day vacation in Georgia. Seven of which we had the privilege of having Makho as our guide travelling from Tbilisi to Kazbegi, Borjomi, Batumi, Kutaisi and back to Tbilisi, with many stops along the way. We booked our vacation through Untravelled Paths, who we have used before and are excellent. Makho has only just started working with them, but I can see why he was chosen. He was fantastic from start to finish, so it's difficult to know where to begin. I'll start with his knowledge of his country and its history of which he was very proud of. He was professional, funny, proud, good company, and passionate. His passion for all things Georgian was something that shone like a beacon. His passion for its history, its scenery, its ancient monuments, its food, its sporting heroes, its resilience. I could go on and on. He had many untold stories to tell us, and even though it wasn't his itinerary, he didn't mind diverting from it to give us the benefit of his local knowledge. On our travels, he took us to 5 different restaurants to sample the Georgian food. Each and every one of them was superb, and the Georgian food is to die for. If you had any reservations about going to Georgia, then put them to one side and give Makho a shout
Surprise!
My daughter booked the Brown Bear trip as a surprise for me for a big birthday.
Very well organised, good hotels, great guides - just a brilliant experience all round. Loads of fantastic memories and very happy times.
No hesitation in recommending Untravelled Paths.
Thank you so much.
Fabulous Montenegro Tour
First time to use Untravelled Paths and a short notice holiday .Well organised , great communication (thanks James). The Montenegro tour itself , including accommodation, could not be faulted. llija was an exceptional guide , friendly, knowledgeable , flexible and with a great sense of humour. 100% focused on making sure we got what we wanted from a varied tour. We will use Untravelled Paths again and thoroughly recommend them.
Splendid Montenegro Visit
Undoubtedly, one of the best travel experiences my wife and I have had in Europe over the last 25 years of travel. Illja was professional yet always polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about his beautiful and historical country. His skill as a driver along challenging roads in the mountains and villages was also appreciated. A visit we hope to repeat in the future.
Amazing Montenegro
Very small group, really flexible in making arrangements to suit our needs and some astonishingly beautiful locations. And our guide Ilija is a credit to your firm and his country!
A Trip Beyond Expectations
If we could rate our experience higher than 5 stars, we would! It was a trip of a lifetime! Montenegro is beyond beautiful and Ilija is a spectacular guide and driver! Untraveled Paths plans a trip to meet your every need. Communication is excellent. You feel safe and informed. Well worth the price!
The whole trip was amazing
The whole trip was amazing, very well organised and the guide Edi was amazing
Great week in Bosnia Herzegovina
Great week with a very likeable and well informed guide, Emir. Bosnia was a revelation - beautiful but still emerging from the war. We saw wonderful waterfalls, stunning scenery and loved the bazaar in Sarajevo. Visiting the Tunnel of Hope and the Genocide Museum are a must, although difficult at times.
Glad I read up before hand as such a complicated history and a fascinating people.
UTP NEW Georgia Experience
Travelled with UTP many times and never fail to provide an excellent service and tour.
Recent tour was their new Georgia experience. Highly recommended. Packs in loads of sights and experiences. Accommodation very good standard. Our guide Makho was professional, full of knowledge and showed great passion for his country. Explained the cultures and experienced the Georgian cuisine. He went above and beyond making our experience perfect. Great value for money.
Wonderful trip and great value for money
Untravelled Paths communicated extremely well with me. They responded to me asking for some personal tweaks in the itinerary and have a "can do"attitude. Our Romanian guide, Edi was wonderful -very enthusiastic, entertaining and full of useful advice and information. The highlight was seeing the bears. What a life enhancing experience.
Our first trip with Untravelled Paths…
Our first trip with Untravelled Paths to Montenegro. Our guide IIija was excellent. Our tour was well planned and the accommodation good. Ilija's knowledge of his country and its history was very good as well. We would use Untravelled Paths again.
Transylvania Adventure
Transylvania Adventure – A 60th Birthday Trip to Remember!
We’ve just returned from the most unforgettable 9-day adventure through Transylvania to celebrate my husband’s 60th – and what made it even more special was sharing it with our 15-year-old son. From start to finish, the trip was perfectly planned and beautifully balanced, offering just the right mix of culture, history, nature, and fun.
A huge shoutout to our incredible tour guide, Edi, who looked after every moment of our journey with warmth, humour, and thoughtfulness. He made us feel completely supported while also giving us the freedom to soak up each experience in our own way. His kindness and infectious energy really made the trip extra special – we honestly couldn’t have asked for better company or a more knowledgeable guide.
From bear hides deep in the forest to some of the most breathtaking scenery we’ve ever seen, every day brought something new and exciting. The itinerary was filled with expertly curated experiences, and thanks to Edi’s local insights, we had the best recommendations for delicious food and stayed in unique, perfectly chosen accommodations that reflected the character of each location.
Whether it was standing in awe at dramatic mountain views, wandering through medieval towns, or enjoying relaxed, laughter-filled meals together, this trip gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. Transylvania truly surprised and delighted us – and thanks to Edi, it was not just a holiday, but a once-in-a-lifetime journey.
Highly, highly recommend!
