First time runner here. Went into the nottingham store wanting to purchase my first pair of proper running shoes. Answered some questions and completed the gait analysis, the team then took the time to show me I was an over pronator, explaining to me what this meant and went through all the shoe options that would work the best for me. Came out with a pair of Ascics Gt2000-14 and honestly they have been perfect for my needs. Yes I could have purchased these online for less, but I feel the customer service, professionalism and friendliness of the staff is more than worth it. I will be back when I’m ready for my next pair!

Just a very easy experience, simple no fuss no problem. Great company, pity about the purchaser….choose the wrong size shoe, and need to return them. My mistake.

Been into the Nottingham shop and was assisted by Sally Ann.
All i can say is, that she has been super helpful(trying to find a pair of size 12 wide runners),
She was full of knowledge and I honestly couldn't recommend enough.
Would definitely recommend going in to try shoes on rather than buying online and there was no "hard selling" which is always a bonus!

I visited the Headington store today to replace my worn out trainers. The staff member who served me was incredibly helpful and friendly, explaining the findings of my gait analysis and helping to find me a brilliant pair of new trainers, which even turned out to be in the sale!

Lucy was so lovely and informative!
I’ve been running a little over a year but haven’t ever really invested in any kit to help, I’ve recently signed up to the Robin Hood half marathon and a friend recommended the gait analysis at up & running which helped her select a sturdy pair of trainers to aid her running.
I was a little nervous but Lucy was really nice, and extremely friendly and made me feel at ease, the recording of me running helped identify my right foot needed some extra support so i tried on several trainers, whilst trying these Lucy was asking lots of questions and giving her own experiences. I always feel a little silly telling people my running story as it was simply a stress output for me but having gone from failing the couch 2 5k to now running 10k by accident it feels like a big achievement and whilst Lucy is a total stranger so was so excited for me which I believe can’t be faked.
I’m so pleased I walked in and had Lucy to guide me through as it was such a lovely experience, total gem and a credit to the company. I’ll keep my eyes peeled in September when we’re both running the half marathon

We all really appreciated Dan & his team at the Darlington store, stopping after normal opening hours to host a club night for Teesdale Athletic Club. All the team were very knowledgeable about their products and helpful with trying on kit. The freebies and discount on kit made the evening even more special. Thanks from TAC.

Have visited the Barnet store twice and both times could not have received better service. Max was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and put time into making sure that I got the correct footwear for my needs. A brilliant experience and would highly recommend. The other member of staff was also helpful and great too. A brilliant find!

I visited the Milton Keynes store today and Marine was incredibly helpful. I tried on various running shoes. We checked sizes and did some gait tests. There was no hard pressure sell and as they didn’t have the colour I wanted in my size I got a discount code and ordered them when I got home. Marine was great and took the time to listen and understand my needs from a running shoe. Thank you

I had a conversation with the manager of York U&R and what took me hours of research online and still feeling I hadn’t got a clear answer, took him a few minutes.. he really listened to the issues I was having with trail shoes and went off to see if he could solve, only to return with a make I hadn’t heard of before and AI had never mentioned to me.. they felt like gloves on my feet in the shop, and I am hopeful for the outdoor test before an event in a couple of weeks. AI will never replace that quality conversation with an expert if that expert really listens to you, in my books anyway. Thankyou!
