At the conclusion of my 1st appointment in Flower Mound, TX I was informed that the doctor I was seeing would no longer be there and my procedure would be done by an unknown physician at the FM location. Later I was advised by phone that the new doctor not going to come to FM and we needed to now go to Irving to see another doctor. They were horribly disorganized and when I finally fired them, I could not get them to actually void their pre-authorization so my new doctor could get authorization to complete my procedure. While nice, I wouldn't trust these guys anywhere near me for a medical procedure.

The staff was professional and explained the process clearly. The treatment was quick and relatively painless. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone considering vein treatment.

My experience would certainly qualify as malpractice. This Clinic is a scam that has no business practicing or treating anyone.

I arrived for the procedure at 10 am. No one was there to check me in, and I sat in the waiting room for almost an hour waiting to be taken back.
I was finally taken back, but the procedure didn’t even start until almost 11:30 (the total time I was told to budget for it). No one spoke to me about what they would be doing, ensured I’d done pre-treatment items, or discussed post-treatment items with me. They told me to put my purse down in a box a few feet from the “sterile field.” The room was very messy and cluttered like a storage room. The Doctor washed her hands but didn’t put on gloves and touched a tablet to film before we started. I don’t think I even consented to be filmed.
They then numbed my leg and started the procedure. I let them know whatever they were doing was very painful. So she said she’d try another spot. For almost 2 hours I sat there having no idea what was going on while they “tried to find a spot.” It was uncomfortable and confusing. They finally said they “couldn’t get a spot” so I asked if they could go back to the first spot, explaining how much it had taken for me to come in and how hard it would be to come back. They said “the first spot they tried would likely be spasming now.” It seemed like no one had any idea what they were even doing.
They said if I drank a lot of water maybe we could get a vein. So I drank 2 bottles of water. The Doctor then said she’d go back and check on other patients then come back to see if the water changed anything. At no point did the Doctor or Assistant ask if I was ok or explain anything at all to me. They seemed completely disconnected from everything that was happening….while they were inside of my veins in my body. While I was lying there I heard the microwave go off right outside the room. I also heard the Assistant laughing and talking loudly having lunch.
They left me on the “sterilized table” for almost an hour just lying there having no idea what was going on. No one checked on me or kept me updated. After almost an hour, I had to go to the bathroom very badly. I could hear the Assistant eating lunch and laughing so I finally got desperate enough to call out saying “hello, hello I have to go to the bathroom and don’t know what’s going on.” I was under a drape and had been “sterilized” so I didn’t want to get up. I kept calling out over and over. It was degrading and inhumane. Finally she said, “We’ll be with you in a minute.” I then heard her go back to eating and talking loudly.
Another 20 minutes after they responded, I had to go to the bathroom too badly to continue to lie there. So I took the drape and shorts off and stood up to find the horror scene documented in the photos attached. They’d left bloody gauze and instruments strewn all over the table not even bothering to clean up. My leg was covered in blood they hadn’t bothered to wipe off. I put my clothes on my bloody leg and walked outside to find the doctor piddling on a laptop looking not at all concerned. I told her I was leaving that what had happened to me that day was horrible; she sheepishly apologized but spoke to me with less urgency than I would speak about something as small as having breakfast even. She offered no solutions or rectification. I walked out of the office degraded and horrified. There was a full waiting room of people. I then paid $12 for parking and left.
I am still in a lot of pain even after not even being treated. In total I was there for almost 4 hours and left with a bloody leg without even being treated. The company hasn't even called me back. There is absolutely no excuse for this level of care.

RUN AWAY from this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After my initial consultation, I scheduled a procedure, and it took them 4 months to get a pre-authorization from my insurance. On the day of the procedure, I had to get off work, drive 90 minutes, and showed up , only to be told that my insurance was out of network and I would owe >$3000. So, I left and 3 months later I get a bill for a no-show fee. I called the billing dept and explained that I HAD shown up for my appt and was turned away. They apologized and said they would take off the no-show fee. Then 3 months later I got another bill for the same thing. I called again and same thing. ONE YEAR after my appt, I start getting calls from a collection agency billing me for my initial consultation, for which I had used a groupon. I again called the billing dept and they told me that the groupon only covered my first treatment for spider veins (which didn't work, btw) and seeing the doctor for a consultation--not the ultrasound that was done as part of the consultation. I asked why during the last year I had never gotten a bill for this, why it was sent to collections without ever contacting me, why I was not told that my groupon would not cover an ultrasound done as part of the consultation, and they just shrugged it off and asked for my credit card number. This company seriously sucks.

Dr. Hsu is a great physician. He is interested in you, your health, and improving your health as much as possible. He was not pushing for procedures to be done, but would help with that if needed. I was VERY pleased with the clinic and with Dr. Hsu.

This company is very frustrating to work with.
It seems like it’s so fragmented .
It’s impossible to actually speak to my personal doctor or assistant in case of concerns and abnormal symptoms.
Also when promised a call back or adjustment, nobody follows through.
It’s the worst medical experience I’ve had .
No guidelines or information provided for billing or procedures.
I guess the patients are supposed to take notes and hope for the best.
Very sad.
Vein Clinics of America was such a positive experience prior to this takeover.
Emailing the company or calling supervisors doesn’t get results except for frustration and inconsistencies.
I hope this changes for future patients.

I have no complaints about my experience at USA Vein Clinics. I self scheduled and had my insurance card so everything was smooth. Dr. Horng was not just caring but also very comforting and dealt with allll the questions I had about the diagnosis and showed me how the treatments would work. I have 4 treatments in and my varicose veins have gotten not just better in appearance so much so I can wear shorts without second guessing but also I can stand for longer than 30 minutes!!! THANK YOU!!!!

During my second and final treatment, Dr. Vu was very rude, at the Fairfax location, which influenced my decision to stop seeking care there. I’m also relieved I did, especially considering that they are now charging an outrageous amount to the insurance. The insurance covers only $2,038 out of the $32,000 charged, which is an inflated cost for the procedure. As a result, I now owe them $359.67 per procedure. This is insane; I haven't even had to pay that much for my two deliveries or emergency room visits. Something needs to be done about this situation.

Zero Stars!!!!
This is a scam! Organized Crime! They will charge you and you will never receive a bill. They submit insane amounts to the insurance companies for mere injections. Will never respond to your emails or follow up. Con Artists.
