I wanted to order a engine but the…
I wanted to order a engine but the delay was to long after i spoke to a rep, my customer did not want to wait for 2 months so she canceled, we called reman and canceled the same day, the refunded some of my money back and the kept 324.00 i called and we discussed it the guy was rude, i own my own auto repair business this is not how u should take care of your customers
LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE IN THE REVIEWS! BEWARE!
Where do I start with this place? I ordered a used engine on 9/7. They took the money and I had not heard anything back from them. So on 9/10 I found this site and read the reviews. I then checked their BBB rating and it was an F with hundreds of complaints. So at that point I believed the best route would be to cancel the order. I called them on the phone and told them I was worried due to all the bad reviews. She asked if I wanted to cancel just because I read some bad reviews online and I said "Uh yes!". She sent me a link to a "Order Cancellation Request". I completed it and got a verification back that it was submitted.
About 10 minutes after cancelling I got a call from a man named Steve who claimed to be with Premium Used Parts Solutions in Oregon. He stated he was a "vendor" who sold engines to Remanns and he stated he has done business with Remanns for 4 years despite his business LLC only being 1 year old. I checked his information and his address is a metal shed in the corner of a field in the middle of no where in Oregon. He also stated he had the engine that is supposed to come to me and it would be ready to ship in 2 days. He said if I cancel the cancellation he would get it shipped out. I asked him to email me photos of the engine and never heard anything from him again. I don't believe for one minute he is a "vendor" for Remanns. I believe he is part of the scam.
On 9/14 I got the most unprofessional email. No business name. No last name. Below is the actual email text
"Hi, good day. This is Keisha from the Shipping Department. As per update, this will be scheduled to ship today from our warehouse in NJ. As soon as we have the tracking details, we will send it to your email as soon as possible. Thank you and have a nice day.
Keisha
Shipping Department
8663191058 ext. 7"
Now this is after Steve in Oregon said he had the engine out there in Oregon. Now they claim it is in NJ.
Then the last communication from them was on 9/22. It was an email stating that "we are experiencing very high volume resulting in a slight delay in getting your order on the road to you"
Remanns is a scam. The only "Good" reviews you can find for them is on their own website and we all know how that works. They are fake. Stay clear of this company. Listen to what everyone is saying. They will try and tell you they do 50K units per year so a few hundred bad reviews is a very small percentage of customers. However, keep in mind, it is not just they have bad reviews, they have ZERO good reviews. I know Powertrain Products does more business than Remanns, check their reviews. They are a legit business with happy customers. I actually ordered an engine from them and they QUICKLY refunded when they realized they did not have it in stock. Almost a month now since I cancelled the order with Remanns, they have yet to refund a dime.
Remanns operates under MANY business names to hide their true identity. You will receive email communication from many different names. SWEngines.com, autopartsemail.biz, used.remanns.com just to name a few. They need to be shut down. Do business with them and I can guarantee you will not like the outcome!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT BUY A USED OR NEW ENGINE FROM THIS COMPANY. THERE ADVERTISED WARRANTY HAS TOOO MANY LOOPHOLES FOR THEM TO GET AROUND. I BOUGHT A USED ENGINE FROM THEM AND IT HAD A KNOCK WHEN THE MECHANIC INSTALLED IT. TO HONOR THE WARRANTY THEY SAID THEY NEEDED PICTURES OF THE HEAT TABS. THE HEAT TABS WERE LOCATED BETWEEN THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. IT WAS TOO COSTLY TO PULL THE ENGINE AGAIN WITHOUT A REPLACEMENT ENGINE ON SITE. IN THE END THEY WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY. A TERRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
Requested quote from them online
Requested quote from them online. I called the phone number and the ext. shown on the quote and a woman answered. I explained that their website shows two possible transmissions for my car, “from 6/24/14, and thru 6/24/14” and I how could I be sure that the “from 6/24/14” that was quoted is the correct transmission. She asked me if I had the VIN, and I said yes and gave it to her. She then said yes, this is the correct transmission and said to order on the link provided in the quote email, which I did. The completed invoice also shows the VIN that I provided to her on the phone as well. Guess what...when the transmission arrived, my mechanic said that is the wrong one. I contacted them for a refund. Paid $1,470 which included the free shipping. YOU MUST READ THE WORDING NEXT TO THE BOX YOU CHECK WHEN ORDERING. They will accept the refund, but charged me $490 for shipping both ways, and also a 25% restocking fee, for a total of $858. Received refund amount of $612 from the $1,470 I paid for their mistake. PLEASE DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!
If we could give 0 star we would
If we could give 0 star we would.
We ordered a transmission for 3000$. The transmission does not work. They guarantee 7 to 10 business day for delivery. It took a month. Meanwhile we had to pay storage fee at the mechanic that was waiting the transmission at 20$ per day. They are trying to void the warranty by saying it was the mechanic’s fault for malpractice. We called around and 5 different shops confirmed to us that the mechanic did what needed to be done and that what they did is what anyone would do. We are taking action against these scum bags. First off credit card dispute then small claim.
Anyone wants to get in on this?

Ordered a (what was advertised as a…
Ordered a (what was advertised as a REMANN motor) ford motor on Remann.com, the site SAYS NOTHING about getting a USED engine, paid $2,595, the motor came in USED, and totally rotted, all hoses, exterior plastic parts cracked, the shop would not put motor in my car as it was rotted. The engine was rusted in and out and the mechanic where the engine was delivered to said it looked like it had been in the bottom of a lake for several years, Can not get anyone to call me back. What a scam and if you use DISCOVER CARD they will up hold it as a good transaction. Discover card should read all the reviews and they would see it is a scam. My opinion Discover Card is as sorry as Remanns THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF. WEBSITE IS VERY MISLEADING.... you go to a website to get a reman motor and get a JUNK used motor. Don't Put the charge on DISCOVER CARD they will not reverse the charge in your favor. I tried two times.

If I could give zero stars that would be my rating. Just like every other customer . I ordered a engine August 30th 2021. Still have not received my engine. When i call like everyone else you get the run around or just hung up on, Lucky for me I bought it with my credit card , but I can't dispute it till a full 30 days. It's crazy there is not one good review. I am open to a class action law suit. LETS DOIT!!!!

Interesting experience which was consistent with other reviews. Fortunetly I did not purchase motor. I received price on motor and statement that Remanns inspects and tests all motor. They would but not provide a written inspection report or test results. After numerous requests for documentation I received a email stating I had "all the information available". All information was their statement motor had been inspected and tested, no other verification was available. Sales passes the buck to parts. Parts never pick up the phone. Remanns pushes their 5 year 50,000 mile warranty. Read it in its entirety and carefully. In my opinion it's worthless. YOU will be out of pocket for the full amount you paid for one of their inspected, tested and warranted motors if anything fails.
Ordered a Reman Engine for my Subaru
Ordered a (what was advertised as a REMANN motor) Subaru motor on Remann.com, the site SAYS NOTHING about getting a USED engine, paid $2,595, the motor came in USED, and totally rotted, all hoses, exterior plastic parts cracked, the shop would not put motor in my car as it was rotted. Called and they said they would pick up the engine and refund my money. They picked it up and refunded all but $1,138.75 when I called they informed me that it was a restocking fee and shipping, after leaving several messages and never getting a call back, I finally got ahold of someone that told me "these broken parts could have been taken off old motor and switched the motor ran and drove" so they refused to refund the money back. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! When you order what you think is a Remann motor that comes in damaged and looks like it was outside for the past 10 years. Then when you call to try to get it straightened out you get tossed around and then hung up on. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF. WEBSITE IS VERY MISLEADING.... you go to a website to get a reman motor and get a JUNK used motor.
Remanns has failed yet again.
Remanns shipped me a used transmission that was missing parts off of it. So the transmission cant be used without being repaired. The whole idea of getting a used transmission was to be able to install it and use it. Calling and sending e-mail's were a waste of time, there was no reply. I will never buy from these people again and I would suggest looking elsewhere for what you are looking for.
Your ratings are so low they kiss the dirt.
Emailed them about a price on a remanufactured transmission that typically only costs around 750 bucks + shipping, after seeing their price of 1199.00 I told them my budge was around $875 which is reasonable knowing I may be getting something that has never been worked on and just cleaned up and painted. They replied with a "We can't help you" lol then I googled their reviews and saw they were a 1.5. I guess they can't help themselves either. Go to local shops for any work you need.

I would not recommend ever buying an engine from this company. We bought an engine from them and after 3600 miles the engine started knocking. I had gone through the claims process and because I did not save the invoices for all of the work that was done on the car, they would not refund us a new engine. We even offered to pull the engine out of the car and ship it to them so they could hear exactly what it was doing. They were only to happy to not help remedy find a solution. What was really bad is the head of the customer support was only to happy to prove that she was the only right about the problem and I the customer was wrong. Since when is the customer wrong?
Terrible experience for a good-natured dad!
The auto repair industry is at the lowest level of trust and this company is choosing to take the industry deeper into the hole with absolutely no follow up despite numerous phone calls and voicemails. My experience follows:
My daughter calls me up and tells me her car "died" on the freeway - luckily it kept running until she made it to the emergency lane. Tow company finally arrives and takes the vehicle to the shop she normally has all her auto work done. She tells me they let her know the motor is shot. They don't normally do engine R&R so please let them know what to do with the vehicle. I told her that I still have the where with all to replace the engine and probably can find one at a reasonable rate. Send the vehicle to me. I find "used.remanns.com" and see they have a used engine with a 50,000 mile warranty at just under$2,000 and confirm with her the reasonableness of the purchase. I tell her to have the vehicle towed to my house and my neighbor friend and I will fix it. I wait a day or two before ordering the engine but still have yet to see/inspect the vehicle. Impatient, I place the online order after close of business Friday.
Her vehicle arrives later that night and when I ask the operator to drop it so I can get it in my back yard, he notifies me it runs - you can put it where you want it. Long story short=
Thermostat was not working and the vehicle blew the heater hose and shut down the engine (preventive design) and it didn't need a new engine. Called the next business day and asked to cancel my order and they send me a cute little emoji button to push to cancel and I thought it would be simple and 100% since they hadn't even processed the order yet.
They billed for the whole engine and $99 for shipping and then refunded only 75% of the entire bill. (Shipping was supposed to be free!)
I fixed the engine and all the necessary minor repairs and didn't need a new or used engine! Just wish I could have the rest of my money back from my good intentions!
Pretty damned disappointed!
I have had the exact same experience as…
Since my review below, I suggest that you file with the consumer protection agency of Wisconsin where their HQ is located.
I have had the exact same experience as everyone else with the deliberate phone hang-ups or the childish act of telling the customer to wait a sec and then putting them on hold indefinitely multiple time in the same day. There has been no follow through on their promised warranty. Does anyone know what state their legal entity is registered to for purposes of a lawsuit. Too many of us just suck it up and let them get away with it, that is why they continue to do business. I will file a lawsuit but need more info to file. I will also investigate a class action lawsuit if anyone is interested. I will follow with my contact info.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever.
I am starting to see what everyone is talking about. They hang up on you and leave on hold and never return. I stayed on hold for an hour finally just hung up. Sancho is a joke and that is a fake name. I want know if anyone has ever thought about getting a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT going.

I i could give less then 1 star i would. Order engine for 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo on March 15th have paid 2095.00 and still no engine as of 4/8/21. Customer Service is the worst ever and shipping and tracking is no help called 7 times they all lie to you or don't call you back.
luckDly i used my discover card which is great for disputes. WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Run!!! They hang up on you when you try to claim
Run!!!! They ghost you when you need to claim the warranty!!! Plus their 5year warranty is complete b.s.!!!! Terribly rude sales personnel!!
Buyers Beware
Buyers Beware! Ordered a transmission for my 1992 Lexus SC 300 on 14 November 2020. Finally, a month later a front wheel drive transaxle transmission is delivered, a Lexus SC is a rear wheel drive vehicle. I notified them of their mistake and as per Scott, I sent pictures of the transmission they sent me and that has been the last I heard from them. I have called numerous times and left messages, with no response. I have sent emails again, no response. I am now going to file a grievance through my credit card company to reverse the charges. Again, think before you send these bums your hard earned cash.
