Vend HQ Extremely Rude and zero integrity…
Extremely Rude and zero integrity company. We left Paradise POS, a new company that also turned out to be bad, luckily we did not have a contract with them.
We changed our card processor to Fatt Merchant & they recommended Vend HQ since its supposedly compatible with our equipment.
Then this little rude kid takes over for the walk through. we are a small retailer we use hardly any POS system features and are not looking to pay more than $60 month for the POS. They said they have a simple $50 deal and we said cool.
He changes it up and says even though the company doesnt do contracts, for this deal they insist on a contract.
As I mentioned to him, we left the other POS because of problems they caused and are lucky we did not have a contract! We refuse to do a contract with a company we have not had experience with yet and its a deal breaker, This little rude kid HANGS UP THE PHONE IN MY FACE!
Thank god we did not go ahead with these horrible people. I spoke to another one of their managing partners before I spoke to this kid, she was a managing partner but seems that she left the company. No wonder!
And then he has the nerve to say $100 is too much for my business! This little clown can hardly keep a 9to5 for him to teach clients how to run a business, $100 is too much for him and this whole company for sure.
Shame on you...
Stay away, this company will obviously treat their clients badly especially when stuck with them in a contract!

Worst support ever! How can a big company like VEND expect their clients to operate, when they cannot give any support when required????
I have tried to get support from 06th June, today is 19th June, and still nothing. All I keep getting is 'apology as we have been experiencing high volume of support enquiries.' SO MY BUSINESS IS NEGLECTED BECAUSE OF YOUR LACK OF MANPOWER??
This is seriously affecting my business and I am appalled by VEND!!
Vend is a basic POS system
Vend is a basic POS system for its price. Here are some of my comments:
1) They do not allow scanning of Supplier EAN/UPC barcodes (ex. If you sell a CocaCola soda can, then you cannot scan the barcode already on the can and Vend forces you to print a new barcode label for the can... makes no sense!)
2) Very limited receipt / invoice customisations
3) Has no ability to issue quotes
4) Limited reporting abilities
5) Product import abilities are limited and sometimes confusing
6) Does not allow you to add product images to each SKU
7) Vend works mainly off the Product Name and not the SKU as many POS systems do
Frustrating company. I've run out of patience.
I rarely feel the need to post a review, and rarely would I post such a negative review but this company has been dreadful and frustrating to deal with.
I started onboarding with them around 6 months ago. I've been part way through the training cycle/onboarding with 2 Vend staff, both who have then left the company/their position, leaving me back to square 1 with no communication or hand over, I've just been left hanging.
I have been offered to freeze the account with no access to it whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place but I have requested that my payments stop whilst I go through onboarding for a 3rd time. No response from them a week later, but they've managed to take another payment.
My patience has finally run dry.
Last round of up[dates have ruined this platform
We use vend for our shop. It used to be good but they keep 'updating' it and changing the way that you use it.
I could not recommend it now, and am looking to change systems. It is expensive for what it provides, and some of the new 'features' are totally unusable.
The support team are not interested in helping getting issues fixed, just telling the customer that that is the way it is and things will not change.
The Limitations of Vends Reporting
Very happy with the actual functioning of the sales.
Not so happy with the reporting with regard to actual customers frequency of purchases and reports related to identifying new customers.
Most reporting is directed at sales of products only.
Would love to see Vend introduce reports that allow us to drill down on trends such as ;
1. How many customers purchased for the first time in a given period.
2. A frequency report showing the percentage that came in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. times in a given period.
The data is there but there is no reporting mechanism to given this data.

I think you should look into it and see for yourself. Then you can see what happens when you do you will love it they have so much to look forward to hearing from them they have so much to give you an idea show you go for you be happy that you have done this.
Save yourself some headache!!
I was happy to use it when it came out first, but since then it is just going downhill...products which are supposed to be variants are becoming standalone ones, product tracking not working, inaccurate inventory levels and so on.
Can't handle big volumes of input, becomes sluggish and unresponsive, parking and reopening sales is a nightmare,surely there is a better way than this.
The support is useless and i gave up a long time ago trying to get something fixed...avoid avoid avoid!!

It is a great overall system to work…
It is a great overall system to work worth. It is user friendly and you get to know the system well in short amount of time. I was pretty new to the system when starting at a new company and it was great change to be able to get help when needed from a support team. Besides the helpful troubleshooting options that are given upfront to assist you, if you don't find what you are looking for, there is always someone on the other side there to assist via email (actual people). They are always friendly, respectful and helpful in every way.
