About Vets Now
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

TPLO surgery and good success so far.
Fantastic with our wee dog who had TPLO surgery. Highly recommend the fixed price option. Hefty but worth it.

Toby's hospital stay
I cannot thank the team at Vets Now who took care of Toby while he was unwell. They carried out a thorough investigation and I am so glad Toby as returned to his usual self. They also kept me up to date with all the procedures they carried out and kept in contact with me throughout his stay in hospital

we attended with our dog
we attended with our dog, where charged a £35 admin fee for our insurers to contact them in order to get the bill details as the refused to give us a bill, this illegal and a bill must be given for anything that is paid for, but they refused, a clever way of making extra money

Happy with care recieved at emergency vet
My pet took ill late in the evening, from first contact on the phone, staff were polite, kind and considerate. My pet was seen promptly and well taken care of. We were kept informed throughout and they even organised for him to see a specialist elsewhere

Excellent and Professional Service …
My son and I have visited Glasgow Branch 3 times since 01 January 26 with my 11.5 year old Lhasa Apso, Darcy. Harriet the 1st vet seen was concerned about the pressure in Darcy’s right eye, when it got worse the next day Harriet told me that she had already booked Darcy an appointment with Ophthalmologist. Darcy was operated on that afternoon, her eye ruptured on the operating table! So grateful for Harriet booking that urgent appointment! I dread to think about what could have happened! All of the staff were amazing with Darcy.
I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else for an emergency- they were so good last year with Darcy’s brother too! Elderly pets need a lot more care and attention! Vets Now Glasgow certainly do that!

Exceptional care
We recently were referred to Vets Now -Hospital for our dog who had dislocated her hip and unfortunately it wouldn't stay in place . William the Vet was exceptional , he told us exactly what he was going to do , went over everything with us , was open to any questions , was very knowledgeable with all aspects of the surgery , kept us informed of how our family member was doing and clearly and precisely went over the recovery with us . We at all points had no reservations about leaving Sandy in his care we felt more than comfortable leaving Sandy in his capable hands
Would highly recommend .
