Poor advice. Wrong diagnosis. Inconsistent advice from vets. Really poor. I won't use again unless I really have no other choice.

Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

From the moment I walked through the door I was welcomed and treated by everyone I spoke with like I mattered and they wanted to help me. I was very emotional and nervous and all the team were kind and understanding. The outcome was the worst possible news but it wasn't unexpected.

The nurse and vet (Jodie and Adele) we found extremely professional both towards us and our dog Mabel.
Adele (vet) was thorough and also took time to explain the four different oral meds required for Mabel over the following three days, having given her three injections.
I am happy to say that Mabel continued to improve and we are at day three and she seems back to her normal self.
Thank you ladies

This was the second time I have had to take my Staffie to the hospital. In a worrying circumstance, everything about this place provides reassurance. The reception staff are great, the vet’s are great and always explaining everything simply and reassurance is given at all times. Hope I never have to go again but if I do, at least I know it’s a good place to be and my little girl will get the best care possible.

Our chocolate labrador puppy was really poorly after surgery at our local vet. He needed 24 hour care to get him over the worst.
All the staff and vets are fantastic.
Thank you.

Absolutely amazing service from all concerned.

What can I say other than what a fantastic team. Our dog Lucy had to have cruciate surgery. From being referred to leaving today every person has been so good kind and helpful. From Amy calling initially and putting our minds at rest to Andrew explaining everything pre op and post op and his skill doing the op. The two ladies on reception who greeted us and dealt with insurance payments and general care again making us feel at ease everything done in our time never pushed. We still have a long way to go recovery wise for Lucy but she's had the best care possible. Thank you again to Andrew and the team.

Vets Now are amazing. Unfortunately my dog broke his leg and had to stay with them for 5 days, I was distraught as he was in so much pain and he’s never been away from us for more than a day! However, they looked after him so well, we had constant communication; texts, phone calls, visits. I could tell he was comfortable there and being well looked after. At a very difficult time for my family and dog, Vets Now were there for us and made things bearable until we could bring him home. Every single member of staff is a credit, from the receptionists to the clinical team. They really do love our animals, I’m very grateful for everything they’ve done.

We brought our dog Ivy in over the weekend. She has never been so ill. We were absolutely certain we were going to lose her. No vet before has ever been able to tell us why she is the way she is. Tom, the incredible vet, put in so much time, thorough testing, and managed to give us a diagnoses and a solution that we would have never discovered on our own. Ollie was also incredible, having two incredible vets that looked so much deeper than just the surface level symptoms she was having. The entire process was so thorough, they checked everything. And we managed to bring our girl back home. Everyone at the hospital from the nurses, to the reception staff, did everything they could to keep us informed, and her safe and well. Her diagnosis means that she may not have the longest life of a dog, but I can’t tell you what it’s meant for us to have her for longer. It was fate that we found this hospital with the right people at the right time. Thank you for giving us longer with our Ivy, we will never be able to repay you x

After a serious misdiagnosis of IVDD in my dogs back.
They pumped my dog full of unnecessary medication like gabapentin and meloxicam! Caused serious serious GI problems the fallout of which I am still dealing with now almost 4 weeks later! Prices are sky high £252 just for an appointment, constant peddling of other products which is clearly designed to bump up profit! It’s such a shame that some companies put profit before our pets !

Saved our dogs life and were very good at keeping us informed throughout the treatment process. It's now just over a week later and the dog is back to her normal self. I can’t recommend the Whitefield vetinary hospital enough.

The vets kept in touch with me and discussed every new development. The cat had to be put down and I was given time in private with him and could have stayed as long as I wanted with the body

From ringing them to arriving them they couldn’t have been any more helpful, kind and sympathetic. They were clear on cost and what care was needed. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Great staff, professional service, looked after us and our pet who was distressed and anxious. They were very kind and gentle with her, sorted her out with some strong pain killers and were very patient with her. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The emergency team were amazing! The vet in charge really explained all options and treatment plans so we felt involved all the way along during what was an extremely worrying time. Facilities are amazing. First class service.

I honestly cannot recommend vetsnow Manchester enough. From our initial contact at reception to the specialist vets, every single one of the team we dealt with were outstanding, friendly, kind, compassionate and professional. Literally nothing was too much trouble. If I could have them as my everyday vet I would. The levels of knowledge and the constant updates and communication made 4 days of hell with our boy Zeus that little bit easier. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts Carrie & Barry
