Poor advice. Wrong diagnosis. Inconsistent advice from vets. Really poor. I won't use again unless I really have no other choice.

Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We had to visit the surgery on a Saturday afternoon because our dog, Hugo, became unwell and required medical assessment. Upon arrival, we spoke with the vet nurse, who explained that she would take Hugo for some initial observations. She mentioned that depending on the findings, Hugo would either be seen by the vet immediately or returned to us to wait until the vet could assess him.
Approximately 20 minutes later, we were called into the consultation room. To our surprise, the vet had already conducted several tests and scans without discussing them with us beforehand. We were then charged an exorbitant fee, and to this day, we are unclear about what tests were actually performed.
Unfortunately, Hugo's condition didn’t improve, so we had to take him to our local vet. This vet requested notes from Vets Now to review the tests conducted during the emergency visit. However, the notes provided were incomplete, making it impossible to determine what had been done. As a result, the process had to start from scratch.
This experience has been extremely disappointing, and we feel that we were not kept informed or treated fairly. We would like to request a refund for the emergency consultation and associated tests.
UPDATE SADLY HUGO HAS NOW PASSED AWAY
This entire experience has been deeply disappointing. Not only were we not kept properly informed or treated fairly, but we also now feel that the lack of accurate records and the poor service contributed to Hugo’s passing. We firmly believe that if the appropriate communication had been provided, Hugo’s final days could have been handled differently, giving him the dignified end of life he deserved.

Incredible service from the second I walked through the door. I didn’t call ahead and that wasn’t a problem. The reception staff were super helpful especially when I didn’t have a clue about my insurance. Claire (the vet) was really nice, kept me informed and left a voicemail the next morning with an update. Honestly can’t thank everyone enough for their help and reassurance. My little cat is on the mend thanks to them 💖

Very fast in seeing my bunny at 10:45pm. Straight through to be seen. Receptionists were both lovely people, very understanding and helpful. The vet was very caring and clear in what she was doing and why. Was insured so only paid the admins fee, everything else is through the vets and insurers, so this made it even less stressful. Would 100% recommend, I’m very very lucky to have this place practically on my doorstep.

Thank you so much to all of the staff at the Whitefield clinic. You saved my cats life and I couldn’t thank you all enough. Amazing and lovely staff, they handled my cat with love and care. And they were great with me when I came in having a panic attack when admitting my cat. Thank you guys <3

Fourth time at vets now with favoured pets, third time trying to rinse £2-3.000 from us.
Funny how that seems to be the same for all animals regardless of condition.
Charged for a blood test, and results arrived in under 10 minutes.
Maybe, vets have super fast super, super blood reading equipment. (Maybe they should inform the NHS).
Meanwhile, we should consider euthanasia.
Vets now, are only interested if you aren't insured.
If you love your pets, think twice about these heartless money rinsing scammers.
Re: below comment.
I have been a cat owner for 50 years and have never had such a low opinion of a veterinary service.
Nobody who cares about their pets decries pricing.
However, respect, attitude and empathy towards owners is a major part of any face to face service.
Many owners in these stressful circumstances, want to know their animals are in the best place, not price tags.
Little of this was shown. Hence the review. Therefore, my opinion and review of your service, stands!

Operates like an NHS Hospital where you are triaged and can wait 4-6 hours for your pet to be seen but with a hefty price tag at the end. Would seem more of a private service if you were given an estimated appointment time to attend, obviously emergencies would come in and you may have to wait a little longer but I think most pet owners would be understanding about that.

I Was seen fairly quickly. Staff on reception were brilliant, they explained the forms that needed to be completed and how they could contact my pet insurance directly to make the claim.
The vet that examined my dog was professional and thorough.
This all made a worrying time a lot less stressful.

Excellent, prompt and caring service. Would definitely recommend the Video Call service. My elderly cat had a seizure and we called Vets Now. Cannot thank the vet enough for her reassurance and the follow up procedure was the icing on top of the cake. Thank you all so much. Regards Lynn and Paul McClean

Domino, one of our pet rats, was already on medication for a respiratory problem. Unfortunately she took a turn for the worse and we needed urgent assistance. We knew we would be taking her to be euthanized so already very stressed. We booked her in and were there within half an hour. We believe Domino died during the journey. We were all very upset on arrival but wanted ensure she was no longer stressed or in pain, the vet and reception were so kind from the moment we arrived.
Thank you!
We have used vetsnow before. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We were seen to as soon as we walked through the door. However, lack of communication after handing over our dog with no explanation of why we didn't see her for a whole hour or any option of being with her. Bleak ,dated waiting room. Very depressing wait.
The veterinary surgeon was lovely though.
