VGMediaspa in Poole was not replying to…

VGMediaspa in Poole was not replying to my emails or answering to my calls, so a few weeks ago I went personally to the clinic to find an empty unit in Poole High Street (this after I purchased a new set of treatments). What's even crazier is that they have sent me a txt/email from SkinSpace UK (which is the new company name they seem to be trading under now) to confirm an appointment for this week. VGMediaspa website and telephone lines have been shut down. However the company is still active on Companies House. I have called SkinSpace UK (www skinspaceuk com) and they are the same people, they were fully aware of my issue and they said that "my refund has been requested". Now they just do not answer anymore, you have to leave a voice message and wait for them to call you back, but they don't!
Trading standards UK have confirmed that this is a common law breach of contract and I would highly recommend you to contact them too to report VGMediaSPA and get information about court claims - they are super helpful.

joint action to sue

There are obviously 1000’s of us out there that have paid in advance to vgmedispa who have allegedly gone bust owing us all money. They are now operating as skinspaceUK. Can guarantee the directors are the same or have involvement from their sunny villa in Marbella.

Shall we all join forces and sue them and tell any other unsuspecting public about the criminal activities of this company and directors. ?

New birmingham number

Just to say those who are having trouble getting in touch. I called the new birmingham line (01213926497) and they said they still had my booking. They said it was all the same except a name change. Though I haven’t been for the appointment yet so I hope they follow through then.

Vgmedispa have gone in to…

Vgmedispa have gone in to administration.
The Poole and Bristol branch are closed and will not reopen. Don’t expect your money back!
I have outstanding treatments and like everyone they cancelled an appointment then closed up!
The company SkinSpace Uk have bought some of the clinics but not the Poole or Bristol branches, called 02039253752 and they explained. Apparently vgmedispa will contact all clients but I don’t expect that to happen. We have been scammed and will have to write it off and not pay in advance in future

Awful scammers

On the 17th July 2019 I received an email telling me that my booking had been cancelled due to the therapist being sick. I was told the manager Julia would be in touch to re-book. I did not think anything of it at this stage and replied a very polite email explaining I understand these things happen. A couple of weeks passed and I thought it odd so I sent an email asking if someone could get in touch. This was now the 2nd August. After still not hearing anything, I gave the salon a call. There was no answer so I left a voicemail asking someone to please get in touch.

On the 13th August, I tried emailing and calling again only to receive an automatic email telling me the address does not exist! I then tried calling to find the number is now invalid. At this point I tried calling the central bookings line to find the line was also dead! I assume the spa is closed down as I walked past on my lunchbreak to see shutters on the windows.

I am shocked and disgusted at this situation. To take people’s money and to be so pushy with the sales and pressure people to book more sessions to then suddenly close down without warning.

Had really good experience with VG medispa so far but just tried to call to re-arrange my appointment next month and cannot get hold of them in any way. Website down, phone disconnected and emails bouncing back. Sounds like a lot of people having the same issue.

Poor level of service . SCAM

Poor level of service

Transpired that I couldn’t have the treatment I paid for due to being unsuitable for it.
Was told this in their clinic yesterday 👍🏼
This could have been determined during the initial booking call ( which turned into a selling opportunity for them ) but I was not asked a very rudimentary question .
I did however , mention details about already having anti ageing treatment like fillers and Botox and was sold the treatment anyway ?!?! Part wowcher .. then I bought another session which was , it turns out , not needed anyway as one session is usually enough .
Website collapsed . All telephone numbers gone . Emails bouncing back to me . Not one single successful attempt contacting them today . I’ve now messaged channel 4 consumer TV show ‘joe Lycett’s Got your back ‘ about them . I suggest all other ripped off customers do the same . Funny how when I mentioned this in wowchers live chat ... I received an email from wowcher saying the merchant has confirmed I was unsuitable and I’m getting my wowcher refunded. Now all I have to do is chase the £80 I am owed from being sold further treatments that I cannot have done . Don’t let them get away with this!!!!! Incidentally- I went to the Manchester branch of skin space and my immediate impression was ‘is this place closing down ??’ It had that vibe . UPDATE : no - I was mistaken ! Wowcher only emailed me to say they are waiting for an email from these people ! Yep . They need an email from VGmedispa/ SkinSpace to confirm I was unsuitable. Isn’t that great !!! I’ve told wowcher they won’t get a response! I’ve escalated this with the disputes team at my bank and with PayPal . Oh ! Incidentally... I discovered that this company’s registered offices are ACROSS THE ROAD FROM MY HOUSE 😎😎😎😎😎😎. Be seeing them soon. Further update . I have had a call this morning . They have confirmed I will be refunded and taken my card details again . They have also emailed wowcher and confirmed I need a refund . 02039253752 called me . It is still taking calls . Have a try .

I am quite concerned

I have just read reviews from below and I have had a similar experience. I’ve tried two different email addresses and various phone numbers and none of them are working. I have paid for six sessions and only had two, so am now concerned that I will not get the four remaining treatments. They have already cancelled two of my treatments, and the customer service has been pretty shocking - it was almost laughable how brusque the lady who did my treatment was last time - I almost felt the need to warn the next customer!

The worst

I booked my first treatment through groupon and every appointment I had they tried to sell me something and the last treatments where done very very poorly so that I had to book more appointments.
I paid for another treatment (just half of it) and now told them that I won't be able to do this treatment as I'm going work related to mexico.
I asked for a refund and the lady at the reception told me I had to call the customer service. Called there : number blocked, tried to access website and sent an email. Nothing works.

Really really disappointed and angry.

Vgmedispa

I have emailed I have called and had the same response that they can not help and I have to wait for customer care to contact me. I have been waiting and continuing to contact via email and phone since June and Vgmedispa had still not responded! I am a client of the Poole branch which has been closed. I have paid for treatments I have not received. It is your responsibility to refund.
Vgmedispa have responded to positive reviews on here but none of the complaints.
Please will Vgmedispa take responsibility and contact myself to arrange my refund.

Its long but please read it

I did not want to express my view on a public platform as I wished them to improve without the negative backlash. Nonetheless, I wrote my review about 2 weeks ago, I still have not received any reply from them. This follow was my full online disclosed review sent to the company only.

I am writing my reviews here because I believe if my honest opinion is posted on a public platform, it would have caused a negative image on your company's image which is what I am trying to avoid.

I am not the type of person who writes a review regardless its good or bad, but my experience at the salon had made me no other option.
First of all, I was late to my appointment for 3 minutes and I am sending my sincere apology for it.
Maybe because of it, the staff did not even greet me with a smile, more than that she just handed me an ipad for me to sign it while saying "so you had a medical change." I answered her no but she gave me a side eye with no comment after hearing my answer, and things got worse from that stage.

During the treatment, she kept rubbing the machine harshly, I felt pain not from the machine but from her. The worst part is that she uses the same force on my under eye area. It's been two days now, and my under eye area is still red and peeling from it. Besides, there is no hair on my eye bag (apply for most human beings), so there should not be any need to apply laser.
From all my experience with laser hair removal (with 808nm), which is a stronger treatment than what your company is offering. However, my skin had never peeled nor still feeling pain when pressed.

Moreover, during the whole visit there, I did not receive any smile from your staff and felt extremely unwelcome. I original thought was maybe your staff was having a bad day, but I immediately overthrown this hypothesis right after I came out from the toilet; I witnessed her leading another customers to room with joy with her talking most of the time.
At the reception, there was no one who even looked at me not along to say a simple goodbye.
It got me thinking are your staff being racist as I had been witnessing different treatment to other customers.

This is by far the worst beauty experience I have had.
I was first worried about the treatment the UK has to offer, therefore I got a small treatment on groupon to try things out. Does it effect on how the staff treat me?

To conclude, due to the recent events, even though I still have one more paid slot, I will not use it in order to end the journey with your company.

This is not personal but simply reflecting on how I felt, I have no intention to put anyone in a difficult spot. If it wasn't a misunderstanding, please address this as I would not want this happening on others.
