Total rip off

Viabox were running Google Adwords campaigns, claiming to be half the price of their major competitors. They want to charge me $200 to $3,700 USD to ship 4 bottles of wine to Australia.

Absolutely never deal with this company.

Damaged goods, poor service and exhorbitant prices

This was a terrible experience. I thought I'd give these guys a try but it was a huge mistake. Shipping prices are exorbitant and absolutely no care is taken in packaging your goods, items are simply thrown into a box and shipped. This caused an otherwise new appliance to be badly scratched. They also managed to forget to ship one of my items and tried to blame it on me that perhaps I didn't look properly inside the box. It then turned our their shipping manager didn't ship it at all. Stay away from this company if you value your goods.

Worse service ever

Worse service ever

First of all, their shipping fee is a lot more than other farwarding companies. I bought a shower head and a hair curler, and unfortunately chose their service. The pricing was almost twice than another company. They did not only charge shipping fee but also forced me to buy insurance. When I contacted them to advise that I thought the price was a bit too high and I would like them forward my goods to another local forwarding company, they told me I need to fill in 2 forms and provide IDs. I was happy to pay some money as well. But even after that, they could not forward my parcel to another non-residential address for 'security purpose'. Therefore, the conclusion was if you don't have any friend in America and you happen to choose their service, no matter how they charge you, you have to pay for it.
Moreover, after doubling the price, if you think you will get an exceptional service, than you are absolutely wrong. My parcel has been in US for 5 days, transiting from one warehouse to another and there are more places to go before they put it through the Customs. I don't know how many more days is it going to take to deliver the parcel into my hand. But the long period of transiting is definitely disappointing.
Last but not least, if you are trying to contact them via email or phone, then I all can say is good luck. Based on my experience, the average response time is 1-2 days. I asked them if I could change address and they took 48 hours to respond my email. How impressive!
All in all, expensive and slow shipping and lack of response are their features.rating 0 out 5. Wont recommend anyone to use it.

Cheap and Reliable

When I came to using a forwarding company, I was torn between Viabox and another company that was promoted heavily in an online shopping forum in my country.

I'm so glad I went with Viabox... At almost half the shipping prices and no additional or hidden fees, I couldn't be any more happier.

Affordable and easy to use.

This forwarding service was very easy to use. Everything was straight forward.

Besides a slight delay during the transit, my boxes arrived without any damages.

Their rates are very low when compared with other freight forwarders

Do not use this company !

Do not use this company !

I would give them no stars if I could, they are so bad.

They use recycled boxes that are clearly inadequate for the contents. Fragile items are just crammed into the box with very little, if any, bubble wrapping or similar and my last box from them was so badly packed it bulged out on all sides.

I even had to ask them to put "Fragile" tape on the boxes.

They do not care about your goods or customer satisfaction.

All about maximising profit without a care for their customers property.

Making a claim is impossible, they just keep coming up with more and more conditons for making the claim and delay it as much as possible, probably in the hope that the claimant will just give up.

I have two outstanding claims where they have been "waiting for a response" from the shippers for nearly a year !

They have a Viasafe option where you pay them 2% of the value of the goods and they are supposed to deal with the claim themselves and not just refer you to the shippers. But even though I have asked to claim under the Viasafe option they have never responded to my request. Just a money making scam.

And after yet another shipment parcel with damaged goods I have had enough of them.

Any savings I might have made on shipping costs have been more than wiped out by the losses I have incurred due to their incompetence.

These guys are straight up crooks

These guys are straight up crooks. They are unclear and inconsistent in their policies, and declare harmless items to be "hazardous materials," refuse to ship them, charge you to return the items to the vendors, and don't even refund your massive shipping charges. Stay away!

Used to be good, but now...

Exactly one year ago they shipped a laptop battery to me without any issues. Now they won't because they claim they are prohibited. I went back and forth many times with their customer service and gave them links to the FedEx, DHL, and UPS websites showing that they are not prohibited but simply require additional labeling, but they wouldn't even look at them. In the end they offered to reship the battery to a US address for approx. 10 times its value, even though I told them that the requirements for ground shipments are the same as by air, so if they can do that they can send them straight to me. A shipping company that doesn't even know the shipping rules is one I would avoid. I then requested that they be picked up in person by a person I knew who was going to be in Portland but they won't even let me do that!

I also made the mistake of recommending them to a friend who ended up having issues over their credit card charges. Now he won't use them anymore either.

One more thing, if you enter "Viabox Portland OR" in Google Maps it comes up with Liquidation Investment Services. That's probably why they won't let you go there in person. I would say others must have had trouble with them and this place is on the way out. The day they stop trading might be the day you have hundreds of dollars worth of goods with them waiting to be shipped. Then everyone will be out of pocket many times worse than me.

I was seriously nervous after reading …

I was seriously nervous after reading some of the reviews regarding ViaBox but after sending a parcel through them i have to admit, i was well impressed. The item arrived and there was a photo taken and uploaded by the following day, I paid the shipping bill which was only marginally higher than anticipated and it was shipped the following day and a tracking number was provided.

Bad service and quality and so pricey.

It's the highest price does have among other international shipper. And they have very very long response to your request. Usually it takes 5 Bis days to answer your question or request. Bad service and quality and so pricey.

10/10 from me for Viabox

10/10 from me for Viabox. I've used the service several times during the last few months and every delivery has been perfect. Prices are reasonable, notification is prompt and accurate and the onforwarding is fast. I highly recommend Viabox without hesitation.

Ridiculously high, hidden fees

Pathetic service and ridiculously high fees to ship. I've used myUS to ship previously to South Africa. Their services are transparent. No hidden fees. With Viabox, I feel that my items are being held to ransom. I paid about $400 for shopping, but they expect me to pay $472 to ship!!! This is excluding the customs fees which I'm expecting to pay.
Bottom line, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE TO SHIP TO SOUTH AFRICA!
Their site is very unfriendly and customer service is very poor.

Not worth it...there are many choices

I used Viabox for couple years now, it was really good and i stopped a period of time and i use them again this year. They have changed. It was cheap and effective, but this year i used 3 times, i found they are very expensive now. I compared it with myus.com, similar weight ends up at similar price (difference was less than $10) but myus is using DHL which takes only 3 days to HK, and viabox uses TNT which takes 10-15 days to HK. They claimed TNT economy will take 4-8 days to HK but it never happened, which makes me very upset. I thought paying more could enjoy faster delivery but obviously not, if i have to pay that much why not using DHL?
I think i will stick with myus.com or others in future. And recently they refused to ship my necklaces and ask me to fill in MSDS report which by the way looks more than ridiculous to me. This is it.

Extremely expensive

I tried shipping 19lbs (dimensional weight) recently using Viabox, decided to give it a shot after using another forwarder for many years. It cost $187 with the TNT option at Viabox, which takes up to 6 business days. However, I checked the shipping cost at my usual forwarder for the same weight. It costs only $122, and is shipped via a note reputable and faster express service, which takes just up to 3 days!! I could even choose a cheaper option that costs just $87 if I can wait up to 5 days!

I am so upset with Viabox and should never have switched away from my usual forwarder.
