Excellent Customer Service
I reached out to Viabox customer support with several questions about shipping and custom duties and they were very knowledgeable about latest shipping regulations.
They answered quickly and they were very courteous.
I will for sure be using this service again.
Beware of huge (i.e. 300%) hidden shipping fees
I used Viabox for shipping an item on June 8th to Egypt. The fees I paid at their site was $14.6 for shipping and handling through their shipping partner Aramex. Unfortunately, when the items arrived their partner overcharged me an amount equivalent to $34 as a customs clearance surcharge.
I understand that I have to pay customs fees and duty taxes. But these $34 surcharge is neither customs nor import/sales taxes, it's only customs clearance administration fees collected by the shipping partner.
Considering the size of the surcharge, I personally went to the office and performed the customs clearance myself and paid the full taxes and customs. However, their shipping partner still insisted on charging me the $34 fee just to hand me the waybill. If I didn't pay, they would have confiscated the item and returned it. I had no choice but to pay.
This means the service quoted by Viabox as $14.6 ended up costing me $48.5 (not including any customs and taxes, which would normally have to be paid separately). This is almost 4 times the announced cost.
I have already complained to Viabox on June 16th and they replied promptly saying it's not their responsibility and I should solve that with their shipping partner (Aramex) on my own. However, till the time of this review, they are still calculating and collecting the shipping cost for similar items as $14.6 even though they beyond any doubt now know of the huge surcharge imposed by their partner.
I have to say that I have used Viabox services for business and shipped to other part of the world through another shipping partner and I never faced these hidden fees.
My final conclusion and recommendation is to never use Viabox's service again to my part of the world, unless they include regular/registered international airmail shipping so as to avoid the huge and unfair shipping surcharge collected by their shipping partner, who keeps such costs hidden and undeclared with Viabox's knowing and approval.

VIABOX-BEWARE!But I know what to do...
When I logged in the first time I forgot to add passport number. When I tried to edit my account it turned out I could do it only via Support team. I described my problem several times and at last they responded "Please login to your account, then under account add your passport/series, then click Submit".Ridiculous! I did it many times before contacting Support. It's so obvious that problems are on their website. After adding passport number I still can see the same phrase "Contact support for account change".So I'm stuck with VIABOX!

28/07/16 I successfully paid 107$ via Paypal to ship only one item (a cell phone) via USPS Priority (the most reliable way of cell phone delivery).
29/07/16 My cell phone has already been shipped.Wow!(one business day).So quickly!The tracking number is truthful.
11/08/16 I got my cell phone,safe and sound.But I also got Customs notification that weight of my package is incorrect.Real weight is 580 grammes and Viabox increased weight (980 grammes).
Now I'm stuck with Viabox again.I'm going to ship my packages via courier service.But I'm unable to describe my items to declare them because of Viabox website opportunities.
14/08/16 I managed to describe my items after contacting Customer Service Team but weight of my packages increased several times.I did not add any bricks into my package. How did it happen?
28/08/16 So....DIM weight is ok,but lines for describing my items have disappeared again.Warehouse team is unable to understand Support Team and update website.How so?
07/09/16 Lines have appeared but DIM weight is enormous again(135 lb instead of 15 lb).My package was 15 lb when it came to Viabox Warehouse.Now nine thin kids' books weigh135 lb.To be continued...
Beware Hidden Fees, otherwise OK
My item was shipped via viabox.com from USA to Germany. Shipping company was TNT, but this was essentially a product resold by viabox and it was viabox who took the shipping costs payment via paypal.
Item value was $70. Shipping was $25.
When item reached Germany I am charged extra 25 euro fee by TNT for "Cusoms Clearance". Item will not be delivered without me first paying the fee, and item is held more than 100km from where I live so nothing I can practically do about it.
This is despite the viabox FAQ reading, and I quote question and answer in its entirety:

Note the 25 euro is not a tax nor a duty, of which I was already aware. It is an administartion fee that is not disclosed at time of purchase of the shipping product which I find dishonest.
Otherwise the viabox service was good. I would maybe even use it again, knowing now to factor in the risks of the additional fees that may be incured.

Ask about payment options before you ship! Don't take the Viabox website info at face value.
I signed up for Viabox because, I know from experience, that the best way to make payments across national borders is with PayPal. And Viabox advertises that it accepts PayPal. But after having an item sent from Amazon to Viabox for forwarding to me in Asia, Viabox told me, "At this time we can only accept payments from your country" via Bitcoin (NO THANKS!) or an expensive wire transfer. No PayPal. And no valid explanations beyond vague "security reasons." Five days of my pleading emails ensued with no resolution. Only after posting an earlier version of this review here at TrustPilot, Viabox "made an exception to allow your account to pay via Paypal."

1) what is the purpose of paying via-insurance? Your web site says its extra coverage and claims will be processed as quickly as possible - this has not been the case at all.
2)Since I do not seem to qualify for extra insurance even though I paid for via-insurance, could you please explain what the purpose of via-insurance is?

Well, It's my first time to use a shipping company. Glad to deal with Viabox, I tried to keep in touch with my things through the live chat. They replies within 2 seconds. Amazing service. I haven't received my things yet, still 3 days to go, but I am really satisfied with their service. Low fees and great service
Stellar service
I like how they show pictures of all the packages that arrive at my suite on my Viabox account, no more guessing which merchants delivered my packages to my suite and which ones didn't. The previous forwarding company that I was using before was offering the same service but they were charging an arm and a leg for each picture. Glad I came across Viabox.
Warning - Don't be tempted by cheap prices
My strong recommendation would be to steer clear of this company. I was seduced by the cheap prices and thought I would give it a go. Big mistake!!!
These are my experiences:
1. The customer support is virtually non-existent. Replies take ages and when you do get a response, it isn't particularly helpful. The online chat is an even bigger joke. I would sometimes wait 20 minutes for the operator to respond.
2. The shipping estimator (before I actually shipped the package to them!) offered me a quote that was one third of what I ended up paying. And that was the cheapest option of the lot.
3. The system does strange things and once your forwarding address is set, there's no changing it. Heaven help you if it isn't correctly recorded first time around...
4. The checkout procedure doesn't seem to add up the items properly and I'm not sure I've sent the package with insurance. It's listed as an add-on but not included in the total - very strange. I'd query this but can't be bothered anymore as I don't have another week to waste...
Sadly, it would have been much cheaper and less hassle if I'd just got this shipped directly abroad.

Glad I switched to Viabox
I've heard about Viabox before but I haven't used since I was stuck paying another forwarding company for a stupid yearly subscription, but once my account was up for renewal, I switched to Viabox. With such low shipping fees, I can clearly see why so many people like it...
Was skeptical but it is great!
So at first i was skeptical. I really wanted one of colourpops eyeshadows but i live in the UK grr!
So firstly viabox has no monthly or initial fee like the other companies which is great! Its so easy they give you an address and US phone number so you make an order as normal paying as normal but using the given address. So colourpop had a coupon for first purchase so i got free shipping from them. Paid 4.99 usdollars for the eyeshadow to ship to my viabox 'suite'. So once the eyeshadow had arrived (colourpop online tracking confirmed its delivery) it took 2 days for viabox to notify me. I was a bit worried at first i was going to message viabox to be like yo what ya doin?! But i waited and then they emailed so it was all ok! I imagine they have a lot of incoming orders to process. So when it arrives you select from about 10 different shipping companies - and you can add insurance. I chose the cheapest available - aramex at $12. It has just arrived today 10th Feb, and viabox website tells me it was despatched on the 4th. I think this is a brilliant time! It arrived with a guy that usually delivers hermes parcels to our house so i guess the companies are linked? Not sure. Anyway i would rate this service highly. Its so quick and easy! The only negative i will say is there is a starbucks mug i desperately want but its only on their us website and they wont let me purchase with my UK visa debit or Uk paypal! So viabox will purchase things for you - but only using bit coins which even after contacting their customer support (very quick and helpful) im still confused about so i wont be using that. I wish they had paypal not bitcoin!
Overall i totally trust this service to ship things to the UK for me. Its quick and easy and i would definitely recommend it!!
