We purchased tickets for a Zucchero…
We purchased tickets for a Zucchero concert in San Francisco in April 2020. Due to Coronavirus the concert is "postponed," with no planned date. Mastery of worddchoice...I say the concert is cancelled, while they say "postponed." I called Viagogo and they won't refund my tickets. My arguments are 1) We had a contract...I purchased tickets for a particular date and time, and the contract is no longer valid as the concert didn't happen.....I didn't violate the contract, they did, therefore they owe me. they don't have the power to change the date and then say "too bad" if I can't go to the concert in the future. Viagogo wouldn't even tell me when they concert will be scheduled, or who the even organizer is.. Secondly, I believe that I should be entitled to interest on my money beginning on the date that the concert was supposed to be held, at the legal rate of interest, which is 10%. I am loaning them money apparently and against my will.
Do Not use this company they're a…
Do Not use this company they're a nightmare to deal with. We had booked a show at Liverpool for River Dance Saturday matinee this was postponed due to coronavirus. We have chased by emails to get a refund for weeks we did have a phone call refund not possible. We have since had an email telling us the show is going ahead in November a Wednesday 2021!!. We have explained that we will not be able to attend just give us a refund. They won't us to sell them on their website which we have refused as all the information says not to.
As it stands at the moment we don't have any tickets, which they say they can't send to us!!!! No refunds allowed. Even explained due to the coronavirus they should be giving us as per the government and the guidelines not interested. We will now have to try with the credit card company to see if they can help. Why should this company keep being able to get away with what they are doing. Just hiding behind it all.
no sign of refund!
Grand national cancelled, rec’d an email mid march to say would get money back in next few days, nothing. They owe me over £400 and keep getting the same crap templated response from them! Disgraceful holding onto my money!! Will never use again
They are thiefs
They are thiefs! They charge tickets much more expensive than it really cost. They changed the date of a concert to a date that I cannot attend and I have requested a refund and they do not want to give me my money back, THEY ARE THIEVES. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE TO BUY ANYTHING! ONLINE ROBBERY. 1 star is too much for them.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. I ended up paying €171 for tickets that cost €94. They stonewall you when you query them. Google should be ashamed giving (selling) them top site on searches. Complete fraudsters, avoid .
Crooks & scam artists...do not ever use this despicable site!
In our case, it seemed that Viagogo was an online selling scam.
Unfortunately for me when tickets went on sale for a Tenacious D gig at Wembley last year, I asked my wife to get them for me online, sadly she somehow ended up on Viagogo, which she & I didn't know that much about it in all honesty, it ended up she paid more than needs be for them which was annoying to start with.
Sometime later after buying the tickets an extra date was added, weirdly for the day before, the Saturday, which suited me better, the issue then was what do I do with these 3 other tickets.
I checked with viagogo & it appeared you could resell online with them or so I thought, so I was I bought 3 more tickets on the real Ten D selling site, thankfully at a fraction of viagogo costs but never the less I had my other 3 to sell.
I never actually received the tickets my wife purchased online which was where the scam starts & then again another scam was when I went online to resell these so called tickets with viagogo, not for what you paid originally, oh no, what they limited you too plus their added charges, yes a double whammy.
I believe this site conned me & whoever probably ended thinking they had purchased my tickets, which as I say I never received.
Another thing about this was you could see on their site, what appeared to be lots of other peoples tickets being sold etc but I never could see mine oddly anywhere, later they claimed the tickets had sold but they wouldn't give me any details of who purchased them but expected me to send them to this unknown person nearer the time? that given I didn't have any tickets. I believe there was someone who wanted them & probably paid a fair amount of money & charges for them but was conned as was I, no doubt they wanted my details to find out when they would receive the tickets.
I honestly believe viagogo is a scam & fraudulent outfit, fortunately my wife used a credit card & we able to claim the money back, but we only knew that with a bit of research, etc
Rip off merchants
Scammers
Sold me a ticket for a low-demand event at TWICE the price of the same ticket on Ticketmaster.
When I realized I was being ripped off and contacted them, they refused to cancel my order or refund my money, giving the excuse that they are "just a reseller".
This company is a scam, they rip people off, and they do not respect your statutory rights.
Avoid at all costs. Ripoff merchants.
these guys are crooks
these guys are crooks, have manipulated Google to appear at the top of searches, far more expensive than the legitimate agency
Utter Sharks
Sharks, an event is rescheduled which we can't make and no refund. Re sale is a false promise. The law states a re scheduling that cannot be attended should be treated as a cancellation, we purchased inflated price tickets for a given date, for which we booked. Utter disgrace.
Absolute scamming sharks
Absolute scamming sharks! Viagogo cares about nothing other than ripping you off as much as they can. Please avoid using their service as you will be left paying a significant premium on tickets and should you have any issues with your purchase their customer support are non-existent. They say they will be at the event to take back any unwanted tickets or offer customer service but you wont be able to find them anywhere. Avoid avoid avoid!
Avoid as much as you can viagogo.com
They are the worst ticket seller I've ever interacted with. Not only did they sell the concert tickets with much more than the price found at a local seller, the price on the ticket was the fair price and not the one that I paid, but when I tried to resell the tickets, they blocked the currency on the listing to RUB and I could not type the sum I wanted to receive on the tickets because as a number it was higher than the one I paid, even if the currency was different. So I paid 750RON and sold the tickets for 750RUB. After trying to talk to them for a whole day, they said it's nothing they can do, it's my browser's fault that I can't select that field.
Honestly disgusting
Honestly disgusting. Bought tickets that I never received and had to get the bank to reverse the payment. Tried to get hold of Viagogo on all platforms and they just messed me around for weeks.
One of the worst places to buy and sell…
One of the worst places to buy and sell tickets. Even in the event of a cancellation/postpone they will not issue refunds of any sort even if it takes months..and if you cannot make it for the rescheduled event say bye to your money..stay away from Viagogo!!
Legal action should be taken against this company as it is cyber crime.
Be careful with this company
Be careful with this company. The final price you end up having to pay is much higher tahn the real price of the tickets!
A disgraceful company
A disgraceful, dishonest company, how they are allowed to continue in business is beyond me. Foolishly tried to do a favour for a friend and buy a ticket, after a previous disappointment with this dreadful company. Sharp practices, excessive charges, dishonest ticketing practices, misleading claims on the app, all designed to scalp customers. A cowboy outfit on the internet.
Do not use...
Criminal I would say...not knowing this was NOT the official ticketing website, I foolishly followed the links only to find out I paid more than double for the tickets. Ticket listed price S$152 and on this fraudulent they were S$315.I can understand a few percentage points for transaction costs but double is criminal.
My advice is NOT to use.
I cannot understand how this company…
I cannot understand how this company still operates- £120 for the ballet and when we eventually received the tickets the face value was £13, sickening.
Tried to complain, no internal complaints procedure. Utterly abysmal.
intentionally deceptive and…
intentionally deceptive and unresponsive. Scam artists
My partner and I paid $293 per ticket…
My partner and I paid $293 per ticket to see Elton John. When we purchased these tickets they were in the seated area, relatively close to the stage. I selected our seats based on attending the same venue for a concert a few months earlier. When the tickets arrived (as etickets not hard copy as we had arranged) they were general admission tickets valued at $129 each. I contacted viagogo and they stated the tickets we received were the ones we purchased. This is absolute codswollop. We were worried that on the night we might not even get in. We were lucky in that we at least got in and saw the concert, sitting on the grass, miles from the stage. They ripped us off for $342. Do not use these charlottens under any circumstances
This company MUST not be touched with…
This company MUST not be touched with a…
This company MUST not be touched with a bargpole! I cannot emphasize this enough if your even thinking about booking tickets with these crooks.
My unfortunate experience started the second I pressed buy on two jack savoretti tickets at the usher hall in Edinburgh. I booked these tickets two months before my girlfriends bithday on the 15th november 2019,her birthday was the day of the concert, two days before we set off on our 7 hour drive to Edinburgh istill hadn't received the tickets!.I paid £193 for both tickets, front seat tickets they stated on their site,in the end the tickets I was told would be delivered to an airbnb in Edinburgh where I had booked 2 nights to explore and enjoy this lovely city.
Now obviously even a month before we were going I was to be honest a little concerned that I hadn't received the tickets,i phoned several times but unfortunately the people who work for this very dodgy company based somewhere in Switzerland didn't speak very good English at all,i spoke to several and it was always the same, wasted hours trying to explain about my plans and the need for those £193 tickets before I set off. This alone ruined our experience way before the day of departure I have to say.
Well arriving at the airbnb in Edinburgh I opened the envelope containing the tickets only to be shocked at seeing two standing tickets with £30.50 printed on each one and we were in the stalls standing! The customer id number was different to the one given when the tickets were booked?!
Now what I want to know is,how can a company somehow sell tickets for an extortionate price when they are a fraction of the cost and also state that the buyers will be seated in the front row in front of the stage.?Also, can anyone PLEASE tell me how I even start to get my £130 back that I have paid these legal robbers!?
I will spread the word about this nasty robbing bunch all over every single social media site I can possibly find,i will warn everyone I know and get them too to spread the word about not buying or ever getting involved with these thieves
Just to add to this,we did go to the usher hall box office, where I must advise anyone thinking about seeing any artist to book direct with instead of going through a similar mishap, only to be told that another couple had spent £300 on tickets and didn't even receive any on the day!
Viagogo always stated that they didn't have any control on when the venue organisers released batches of tickets,????
I've seen hundreds of live music acts over the years and I've never heard of such rubbish,
Oh and by the way, they also buy tickets back, you will never get a refund, they will buy them back from you?! Which is also very suspect
SO NEVER EVER PEOPLE BUY ANY TICKETS EVER FROM THIS VERY VERY SUSPICIOUS COMPANY BASED IN SWITZERLAND,
