Mark made this an amazing time
Mark made this an amazing time, his knowledge and zeal for art and history had us excited for where we would stop next. How he keeps that much knowledge in his head is astounding. He knows the MET like the back of his hand and it shows. I especially appreciated his humor and genuine kindness to the various MET employees and other guests as we traversed the various exhibits. The MET was packed, it was a Saturday tour, and yet Mark made it feel intimate with the little details, things he pointed out others might miss, it was a great way to spend our Saturday morning in New York City. Highly recommend!

Process was smooth and efficient throughout. We met a the meeting point, collected the tickets and headphones, Safou was an excellent tour guide, bubbly, knowledgeable, and funny. Strongly recommend.

Great boat ride except............
The boat ride with Gregory tours to see the Arch and everything else along the coastline was wonderful. The boat is small and the seas were a little rough the day of our excursion but our boat captain did a great job. He maneuvered us around all the other boats (about 10 different boats) transporting tourists to the area. Getting off the boat and back in the boat at the tiny beach is not for the feint of heart. The boat is moving, and so is the water, so you better be ready to get in and out of that boat fast.
We had a great time on this excursion.......except for....... how we were pestered constantly about upcharges. When we jumped out of the boat on the little stretch of beach we were immediately told it would be $30 to place our backpacks under an umbrella. We were also told we needed lifejackets to snorkel and they wanted $15 for each lifejacket. Later when we were frantically trying to get back in the boat for the ride back they wanted a tip for helping us on in the rough seas. Also -- on the boat a very nice guy (Saul) took photos of everyone on the boat and we were all told they were $20 a photo or........you could have all of them for $50. So of course we took all the photos. However, later we discovered that $50 charge on our credit card actually ended up being $67.67.
So ----- what am I saying here? Great two hour tour and one of the more fun things we did on our cruise......however.......all the details of the experience sure made you question whether you should do anything with Gregory tours ever again.
