Having never heard of the company, I was naturally doubtful, especially when their website designs are not wholly professional; however, I was pleasantly surprised when my pre-order arrived exactly on time, dispatched early to ensure it and with a trustworthy courier (Royal Mail).

I recently bought a preowned 2DS console. I was a little dubious at first because I hadn't heard of the website before. I wasn't sure what condition the console would be in but when I received it (promptly may i add) it was in great condition and looked barely used.
The description warned that the console might be locked and indeed it was but I took a punt and managed to crack the code (tried 0000 then 1234 bingo!)
I am definitely going to shop here again. Currently looking at games to accompany the console. Then I think I might buy a couple more 2DS' for the other kids (as I'm sure they will get bashed about!)

I ordered a mega pack for the vita; onscreen it said 'In stock'. It said delivery would be 1-5 working days.. I checked up on the order today, which is the 3rd day and there was no movement on my order processing.
I contacted [name] on live chat and he said that the reason why no movement is that it is currently out of stock, but that is the reason why i came to a such a small outlet - it seems to be currently out of stock everywhere!! I am not happy at the misleading marketing!! So now i have asked for a refund, and i hope it's a swift 1 too.....

I am adding to this review after several emails and failed promises:
Well, it has been some time since i wrote this review,... Now i've been emailed by '[name]' basically asking me to delete my review, cos '[name]' got it wrong and it will damage his small company (but not a thought for a small income person like myself at this time of year especially) and that my game was sent out and i should get it by tomorrow?? Then another email saying it will show up the next day or by the end of the week lol, yh yh, i thought at the time, and i was right, it never did show up, but i did get my money back, and a few pleas to take off this review - but it's true and factual, more than i can say for his site!!
All in all i feel i was lied to, about the item being sent out and being in stock, and even about who i was talking with, which urges me to feel i have to warn any person who wants to deal with videogamebox to be wary.. i personally would not give them a single penny of mine and go elsewhere, save yourself some time and agro.. my item was a birthday gift, which then ended up being over a week late!! Not a happy buying bunny!!

Just found that my negative, but painfully honest review had been removed and Trustpilot asking me for proof of purchase because this company are saying that i'm a bogus customer??? Thanks [names] or whatever your name is.
Trustpilot and God only knows how many other legit bad reviews have been deleted because this company contests the truth!! Disgusted by their tactics and lies!

i purchased the minecraft game for the xbox 360 for my daughter. it arrived the next day. overall a great service received. i would definitely deal with video game box again :)

If you're thinking "well, they can't be that bad, they have loads of 5* reviews", that's mainly because they offer a £2 voucher if you give them a positive review...

The first game I ordered was offered with a pre-order beta access code, which didn't arrive - I was eventually told this was included on the listing as a mistake, but I only received a reply after the game order was completed and the game released. I was offered a small voucher as a result.

I gave them another try to use my voucher, and there is no sign of my game over a week after release. I contacted them on twitter about this and now I'm unable to access my account.

My advice is to avoid them regardless of price - I've never had problems like this with any other online retailer.

I would recommend video game box because it was the cheapest price going for the pre ordered game I wanted. They're free delivery, It was despatched couple days before the release date & I was lucky enough the receive it in the post the next day! In a well protected packaging. Can't get much better than that!

I preordered Forza Horizon 2 a few months before release from here as they had it at the cheapest price I could find. Email notification of dispatch arrived a couple of days before release, and the game arrived safely on release day, what more could you want!

The service I got from Videogamebox was very good, easy to find products, easy to order with several emails updating me on my order. I even got the item a day before release which is always a bonus. Highly Recommended Business

I gave VideoGameBox.co.uk a try because they offered the cheapest price, but now I always check them first because I know they offer great customer service and deliver my games on or before the release day.

I have gotten in touch with Video Game Box to cancel orders or to make changes, (always my own fault) and they have been quick to respond and no problem with resolving my issue.

Price is an important factor but Video Game Box also has very active social media. I follow them on Facebook where they seem to be as much Video Game Enthusiasts as well as Video Game Players, this is important to me because I like to think that I'm supporting an Independent Video Game Business.

I highly recommend using them.

Bought a Wii U Gamepad cradle/charger and a copy of ZombiU from Video Game Box - both were fabulously priced, delivered quickly and in perfect condition. Only had two minor quibbles: the cradle was delivered in a slightly tatty box, and ZombiU was advertised as having a German box and manual, when in fact the box and manual were in Dutch! Not a big issue in either case (it's the condition of the cradle, not the box, that really matters, and the game is in English as advertised, so not being able to read the blurb on the manual isn't so bad), but worth flagging up :)

Anther order from VideoGameBox, another perfect, hassle-free transaction. Fast deliver on my items once again.
Also currently the cheapest place to get Amiibos, especially with the reward points!

After suffering a bad experience with another Company, Video Game Box had my activation code sent via email within about an hour. Very happy with my purchase of The Sims 4!
