Generally i have found trade-in services (like cex or amazon) to take up to a week to fully process the sale, so for videogamebox to make payment the very next day (if you send with 1st class) is top service indeed.

Video Game Box are consistently the cheapest for buying games on the internet. They ship early (which in this case didn't work for me as Royal Mail still managed to make it arrive late) and with no fuss.
They are quick to reply to emails and I recommend them.

I ordered Metro Redux for Xbox a while ago but when I saw it a little bit cheaper elsewhere I asked if I could cancel my order. They very quickly (and politely) replied to my query and said they'd be happy to cancel the order, but they could instead offer me store credit of the difference between the two prices, which I was happy to accept. I used the store credit to buy SSX for Xbox 360 for next to nothing, and both games arrived incredibly quickly. (SSX arrived the day after I ordered it and Metro came on release day.) Ultimately I'm very glad I kept my order with VideoGameBox as their service was fantastic in all respects.

Ordered my second game from Videogamebox & it arrived within 48 hours & was well packaged. A+

Ordered an xbox one game for my daughter out of her birthday money on 12th May. When it didn't arrive, I emailed the company and received a reply stating that it had been posted and "delivery time is out of our hands". Over the next few weeks I sent numerous emails, made phone calls and sent a text message to the company asking for a refund and received no reply. On the 10th June I sent another email informing the company that I had logged the matter with trading standards. I then had a reply the following day saying that "we've been having issues with our emails" and that they would send me out a replacement. 16th June - still no game so I emailed asking for a full refund. 17th June - sent a Royal Mail lost order claim form to fill in, which I did and sent Royal Mail signed for which was received on 30th June. Have heard nothing from them since, now 15th August. I have sent many emails and have started sending tweets via my twitter account. I sent a random message via a different email account to check they weren't "having problems with their email" and surprise surprise, had a reply to that one the same day! From the many positive reviews of this company, I'm guessing that everything is fine if all goes straight forward, but the company is useless if there are any problems. My next stop is to contact trading standards again to update them and to contact the Royal Mail to check that they haven't put in for the claim and then pocketed the money. I certainly wouldn't recommend ordering from this company - I have one very upset and disappointed 7 year old. This is a quote from the companies mission statement on their website "Our customers are of of the utmost importance to us & we really appreciate your custom so we'll do everything possible to take care & make your transaction a great one. But we're only human so from time to time we will make the odd mistake. If you feel that we have made a mistake with your transaction please get in touch with us and we'll do everything we can to make it right" - the biggest load of rubbish I've heard in my life!!!

UPDATE 22/8/14
After a very long 3 months, I have finally received a refund and an apology from the company. They are still claiming that my emails weren't getting through. If this was the case, I don't know how they can explain the unanswered phone calls, text messages, tweets and letter sent by Royal Mail signed for (which I have a copy of a signature to prove it was delivered). I have been asked on several occasions to remove my review, but I have decided to keep it on here as I look to these reviews when considering buying from a new company and I rely on people being honest about their experiences.

I have copied below from the last email that I had from the company where they state the changes that they are going to make to ensue that the same thing doesn't happen again. Have a read of it and then make up your own mind on whether or not to place an order. Personally, I shall prefer to pay a few pounds more and order from a company such as [external references] where I know good customer service is higher up the list of priorities!

"I know you had a bad experience with us so we've implemented an 'Open Ticket' system to the website so emails using Google, Hotmail, Yahoo etc are not lost as we've been receiving a huge amount of 'undelivered' replies to emails sent so presume a lot are not getting through either.

I understand if you don't want to but would really appreciate if feedback could be removed. We are a new small business in a big and very competitive industry so any bad comment really hurts us.

We're always happy to improve our service and have taken your comments on board and at present looking for a full-time customer service rep who can answer the phone 6 days a week."

The price was the best I have seen after researching many websites

I ordered Monday afternoon, received a confirmation email followed closely by a dispatched email and then received the game midday Tuesday! Less than 24 hours after ordering, and the postage and packaging was free!

Excellent first-time buying experience from Video Game Box.

I placed an order in the evening, it was dispatched the following day and delivered the day after. So from time of order to actually playing the game was just a few days. Excellent, excellent service that cannot be faulted.

I have also contacted their customer service in the past and received a reply the following day. The reply was concise and addressed my initial inquiry. Very refreshing as so many customer service departments provide a lot of fluff and no real answers.

Overall, I have only praise for VGB and will definitely use them in the future.

Purchased Sniper Elite 3 for Xbox One from this company as it was the right price, didn't know much about them.

My item went missing in the mail; this company couldn't do enough to make sure I was happy and arranged a swift replacement. I even had an offer of the digital code to speed up my gaming pleasure.

Not many companies offer good customer service. If you are in any doubt with using VideoGameBox you need not worry.
