Virgin Business Broadband has been extremely unreliable — I've experienced more downtime than uptime. If you rely on consistent internet for your business, I strongly advise avoiding Virgin. It could seriously disrupt your operations.
Avoid at all costs. This is one of the rudest sales teams I’ve ever spoken to they show no interest in new customers. A completely unprofessional company.
Overall a worst experience with Virgin Media Business - as a business customer they failed to understand that the internet is a backbone for any small business, but after 2 months of waiting on the installation of "Tee" and without any communication on the update besides several promises on the up to date from the manager, they failed to deliver, in the end they cancelled the order without any apology. I would not recommend Virgin Media to anyone who is looking to open a new business or office as they will simply mess you about. Complete waste of time and effort.
absolutely atrocious customer care. Takes ages to contact them.
For the past 13 hours I have not had wifi, I have been a dedicated customer for the past 4 years, we have always had issues but we managed to get use to it but since yesterday they have been taking the piss.
For the past 13 hours no wifi, we have contacted them multiple times and they keep on saying an engineer will be with you on the 30th but I can not wait that long.
I definitely do not recommend this company as it is just a pain in the ass, do not ever join this company.
They have no hesitation to take the payment out of your bank account but when you need their help with a product THEY PROVIDE they do not send any help.
Shabana Kausar.
One star is being nice! Avoid if you are a business as they do not communicate internally with each other. Since April ( Now August) been trying to change ownership from ex owner to new owner.
Terrible customer service and departments! Spent days phoning them to come to the same conclusion- fill in a form which I have done many times. Do not waste your time with them!
An utter shambles and disgrace of a company. 1 star is too much. Tomorrow will be the 7th scheduled visit for our migration. Engineer has failed to turn up on the previous scheduled appointments. Sales guy promised the world but not heard a word since any of the issues. Order Management team totally inept. Have received random communication from various people but no concrete information. Virgin Media Business are simply hopeless so seriously avoid using them. Tablet Rentals Ltd
I’ve had Virgin Media Business for three months and the service has failed almost every week. The backup dongle doesn’t work when it should, and the customer service is appalling—if you’re even able to get through to report a fault, which is difficult both online and by phone. If I could, I would give them zero stars. The connection is so unreliable that I’ve had to purchase another router and use a different provider. If it were possible, I’d cancel Virgin altogether.
Avoid it like a plague!
Will sign you up for sales and wont intall it and will keep on giving you random installation dates. I signed up my contract 7 weeks ago and they still can not commit to an installation date!
I closed my business for various reasons and the 90 days notice requirement meant I had to finish paying the monthly invoices from my private account. However when they worked out the total payment it seemed that I had overpaid. BUT THEY HAVE MADE EVERY EXCUSE AND USED EVERY BLOCKING TACTIC TO REFUSE TO ISSUE MY REFUND. THIS IS FRAUD AND IS ILLEGAL. What an awful reputation to have for what Courbet a good company
OMG..... entering our 6th week of trying to speak to someone and seriously if this doesn't kill me through stress....
If I could go back in time to 15 years ago when our Grade1 listed building decided to go for Virgin Media for broadband I would defintiely do everything in my power to stop it.
We are being overbilled for a service and every time we speak to customer service they decide that some piece of account information is invalid and needs updating.
On 24th July I was assured that my request has been accepted and sales team would contact me in 2-3 business days.....
On 1st August I chased up as heard nothing.. and was told I would be contact within 24-48 hours and raised Complaint Case#: 04705208 via the portal.
Today 8th August I am told they have been trying to contact me yesterday on a number / email OTHER than the one I put on the complaint.
Today I am told someone will contact me within 24-48hours but I am not hopeful.
All the time Virgin Media continue to charge us twice the amount of the 200Meg broadband service.
They say they didn't tell us we should be on a cheaper package because 15 years ago someone ticked the "no to marketing" box so Virgin Media say they were not allowed to contact us to tell us we are paying twice the amount we should be.
If there was ANYWAY I could change provider I would but being a listed building with no other infrastructure other than Virgin Coax Cable we are stuck and paying the price.
It is just the awful customer service that is just unbelievably bad.
Even if we do get moved to the current 200Meg package and halve our monthly bill - I am certain we won't receive any compensation for them overcharging us, or the hours myself and my manager have spent with their AI online chat service which just adds insult to injury, or on the phone with their customer service who just refuse to provide any sort of customer empathy.
The fact on here they have a 96% negative rating says it all.
All the potential to be a great product but such disastrous customer service and management, relying on locking you into contracts rather than responding to your needs. A few months back They suggested I upgraded, with a promise I could downgrade when I wanted. So I did. After a while everything seemed to be the same so I switched back to my old tariff. On the day, I noticed there was a difference. So I called to move back up to a faster speed and give them more money again. Oh no. Not possible, you need to wait 30 days. No matter this is causing you issues with your business, people can't hear you on zoom calls. And although you've been a customer for 5 years you're locked into a contract so you have no options.
Shocking service
I am a tenant and my landlord covers the Internet within my rent. We have been without connection for 2 weeks and today have been told that the necessary works will not be completed until 20th September which will make 9 weeks without any connection. My landlord has contacted virgin every single day for the past 10 days to no avail. They have booked appointments that they just then do not turn up for or move it on the same day.
This is absolutely disgusting and judging by other reviews, virgin need some sort of customer service intervention, I have struggled to locate even 1 review above 3* across all review channels.
My landlord is running a business at the end of the day and this disruption is affecting his operational business, and in turn is affecting us as the tenants. Its totally inexcusable to treat customers this way and if the account were in my personal name I would have cancelled and refused any additional charges, taking my complaint to the relevant ombudsman bodies.
Somebody at virgin must read these reviews so why there hasn't been an investigation and an overhaul of their service is beyond me! Would never use again, or recommend to anybody at all. Absolutely appalled.
o2 business changed to o2 Virgin. Waited on hold for assistance. Managed to speak to someone after 20 mins for them to cut me off. I can't access my account. I will not be taking out any further services for my business.
I have tirelessly tried to call and in each occasion goes through after repeating myself 50 times and then cuts off when it rings the agent . I’m sure the work from home are all being lazy and are shutting us down .
I have lost sales because your broadband and phone line keeps disconnecting I need someone urgently to report .

We have been business customers with Virgin for over 20 years, excellent service was always provided, if you had a problem you phoned and you were greated by either a call centre in the north east or glasgow, issues were resolved very quickly.
So moving forward to now, we were informed several times that we needed to go digital via letters telling us our services would be stopped on 28th July, worried about this we contacted them and arranged for a engineer to come and swap our services(not plain sailing as they don't listen but won't bore you with that as too much else has gone on). On Friday 11th July a lovely engineer who was so helpful came and did the switch, however he ran over his time by 1.5 hours due to trying to communicate with the call centre as even the engineers don't have anyone they can contact in UK. After waiting for so long he said it should be all sorted and the number would be ported over and live over the weekend. This didn't happen, so we plugged into the old system and could still operate our business. Tuesday was spent trying to email several different people and trying to get through to Virgin which is absolutely impossible. I tried live chat but that is AI and doesn't ask anything relevant to our problem. I tried to reply to emails from the sales team and our 'appointed' manager but have now decided that even though they are NOT 'do not reply emails' they are from actual people !! that they are obviously dummy emails.
So Wednesday comes and NO PHONE LINE !! We have spent all day trying to speak to people who are obviously reading off a script and have no clue what is going on or what they are doing. THEY HAVE PORTED THE WRONG NUMBER ACROSS AND LOST OUR NUMBER!!! All they can say is it could take up to 2 WEEKS to sort (that's if they can)
We can't tell you how much money we have lost already as this is our main way of generating business. I'm at a loss as to where to go now as this could cause our business to cease trading and they haven't a clue.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE DREADFUL AND NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE !!
I did see someone suggest we all form a group and appoint a solicitor to Sue and I'm up for that !! They have let so many people down and how Richard Branson and Lutz Schuler can let this happen is beyond me !!!!
Customer service was dreadful.
Tried to cancel as have started with a new provider. Called the cancellation number 3 times to be hung up on. Called a different customer service number and was transferred to the wrong department 5 times even though I told them I wanted to cancel. Instead of listening to my request, they wanted me to upgrade. No one had any communication skills.
I have a business broadband account with Virgin. My 24 month contract ended 6 months ago and I am now on month-to-month. But Virgin is insisting I give 90 days notice to cancel. My service has been very unstable and I've had to repeatedly restart my router. Having to now still pay them for 90 days for poor service is adding insult to injury.
Useless!
How on earth is Lutz Schüler still in a job? What a reputation he has built around himself and Virgin.
Terrible company with terrible practices.
Lost Internet connection in March. Had no Internet since then. Direct debit still going out each month. They've scheduled exactly 6 appointments to fix this issue. They have not attended once.
