Engineer came to upgrade the modem/ router on Friday morning. It wasn't working when he left. Was told to wait....
Monday morning, it is still not working.
I tried to contact the helpline during the weekend. They didn't have a clue...
What a mistake it was to get their business deal!
This company should go burst in no time. Never ever ever ever ever seen such a terrible customer service ever. Plssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY. Never ever get any support when you wanted help. I’ve got no internet for over 24 hours and they won’t answer the phone
Not worth it. Did 5 years.
Don't bother with Virgin Media Business unless you have to. The terms, costs and service is worse than Residential. Appalled at their customer service. Even took me nearly an hour on the phone to cancel. Agent kept putting me on hold. Took her 38 minutes to tell me it's 90 days notice!
Virgin media customer service used to be responsive - now it is simply negligent.
Complaints do not get processed, One department does not speak to the other, promised actions do not get seen through.
As a small business, I've had mixed reliability on the line, no real issues with speed - but issue resolution has been woeful.
If you leave... Welcome to a hellish dance with unsubstantiated charges, I'm still being billed even though my service was disconnected three months ago!
The customer service team appear to have been moved from the UK to overseas, and nothing gets addressed, dealing with the company is much harder, I just cannot recommend in any way. Quite literally the worst company I've dealt with.
Thieves, incompetent, sell you something that never delivers. These telecome thieves must all go to prison.
Everything was a disaster from order to cancellation.
Ordered virgin business broadband in early march 2025. Once the order was taken we were completely abandoned by virgin and never heard a thing until May . After repeated calls to the installation team we are finally told installation would take place at the end of may. The contractor turned up marked the rout in to the premises then promptly left. The next day somebody else turned up and said the job was too big to do. I finally lost patience on the 5 June and rang the installation team for an update. Somebody eventually returned the call and proceeded to tell me that they would ( after a 3 month wait ) have to cancel the order because it would cost too much money to install. I would have given no stars if I could and would not recommend Virgin for business to anyone.
Just don’t waste your time very bad just installed new number and Wi-Fi nothing is working properly
Disorganised and unreliable. Very slow when responding to emails, if they even bother to reply. Very poor website and support, and website shows incorrect information about where services are available. 90 day notice period for leaving/moving even when out of contract and VM are unable to provide services at new location. Never ever hit the advertised 1Gbp/s speed, usually at least 20% lower around the 800Mbp/s mark
Had my wallet stole and virgin business were unable to block my cards because they were not open staff were completely useless. Could not answer questions or helping anyway.
so so bad staff are so incompetent and they know nothing about the business they work for. such contradictions and they dont even send you instructions on how to send the old router back.
They are the Worst ever business broadband provider and was sad of me to stay 3 years with this company.
So unhelpful, most of the contact numbers aren't valid and when you do get through you get passed all over. No one knows what's going on. Security takes ages and they ask questions that don't match anything. One person tells you something can be done and another says something totally different.
Been with virgin media business 4+ years never had any issues until recently. Always had a DD mandate set up and for some reason they have not collected it for the past 2 months, subsequently I've have to pay a bill via bacs last week, I spoke to a customer service agent on Friday, they recognised the payment and agreed to collect via DD again, and now I've been disconnected.
I will be asking when my contract is up with them as this is beyond a joke, customer service is obviously s*** for s reason.
Website only sells you stuff. Finding how to cancel is almost impossible. Went through their Kafka-esque process to cancel my service dealing with people who seemed to barely speak English and who left me with no confidence that they had understood or actually implemented the cancellation. No confirmation email. Sure enough, it did not switch off on the agreed date and I am still paying. Just cancelled direct debit and complained, but don't expect much anytime soon, other than a reminder and demand for payment.
After using Virgin Media Business fibre broadband for a number of years I am trying to cancel my service but trying to do so is akin to dealing with a Soviet style brainless monolith. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone to deal with but but at the end of the call they said they could not not access my account and asked me to phone back - no acceptance they might have a duty of care to call me back.
I eventually found out how to cancel my service - which is out of contract - and completed an on-line form and that process said my service would cancel in 30 days which is fine. But I then get an email to say they had tried to contact me - they did not - and that they need 90 days notice. I responded by asking for evidence of the contract requiring 90 days notice. Instead I get another email saying I have to give 90 days notice. This company is simply imbecilic. I have a Virgin Media service at my other property so I might just switch to another supplier as I cannot bear to deal with this awful company.
Totally waste of Time booked in February Starting and today is 6th may 2025. Very poor customer service. Sales rep gave us wrong information regarding package. They have increased the price and still not internet at our shop. Sent so many emails but no communication from them.
Our experience with Virgin Media has been nothing short of a nightmare. We signed a contract for internet service for our business, and although it worked fine for the first 2-3 weeks, it quickly became completely unreliable. The connection started dropping constantly—all day, every day—which made it nearly impossible to run our operations properly for over a month.
We contacted their support team and had four separate technician visits, none of which solved the problem. Then, a fifth technician was scheduled to do some work on the external cable, but they never showed up—no notice, no explanation.
At this point, we decided to cancel the service altogether. But when we called, we were told we couldn’t cancel because the “information we provided over the phone was incorrect.” This was just another delay tactic, clearly designed to keep us locked into a broken contract.
After checking Trustpilot, we discovered that this is a recurring issue with Virgin Media—many others have reported the same dishonest and evasive behaviour when trying to cancel. It’s now obvious this is part of their strategy.
Virgin Media is not just unreliable—they are disrespectful and dishonest. No business should ever trust them with something as essential as internet service. The time and productivity we lost due to their failures have been incredibly damaging.
If you’re considering Virgin Media for your business: Don’t. Just don’t.
A very disappointing company to do business with and no customer care at all. They bombard you with phone calls and emails when trying to obtain the business and offer an account manager to handle the account for multiple sites but as soon as you sign on the dotted line they genuinely don't care and there isn't a customer account manager in sight. After fighting for one and eventually being allocated one that did a reasonable job we got switched to another who changes the rules as he sees appropriate. We've gone from giving 30 days notice to 90 days without prior warning and then told as we removed the business that we no longer qualified for an account manager so to ring the generic number which, everyone will know, is a very time consuming afternoon made more frustrating by the fact that they just want to refer you back to the business account manager who refuses to speak with you! I'm so glad to be cancelling all contracts and getting out of this ratrace of inefficiency. Even the complaints department do not answer the complaint!
Believe the hype as to just how bad VM Business is. Terrible online portals, online chat is worthless, the phone lines get picked up then hung up after 40 minutes, never the right person to speak to when you do get through, security is confusing, disconnecting takes ages and even though you fill in forms they only start the 90 day (!!) countdown to cancel when you call them, not when you submit the form. Avoid!
I would give zero stars if I could. What a shocking shocking ‘service’ virgin media business are. Trying to get threw on the phones is a absolute joke, phone calls back promised never happened, now I want to cancel as still within my cooling off period answered the security questions the same as I always have and now I’m failing them and they cut me off? No this is because I’m cancelling. This will be going further absolutely shocking shocking ‘business’
