Never, ever, ever buy virgin media internet. Yes, its cheap, but the issues you will face are not worth it. We've had it for about 8 months and its been constant problems. I pay for 150mbps, right now I am getting between 1-5 depending on the time of day. When I contact the customer service its the same story -"reboot your router". Thats it. Thats all the technical help you will get. They have no engineers so no one will come to your home, they simply pass you onto another department who say the same thing - "reset your router". You can't speak to a manager. You cant get a refund. Nothing. We're just left stuck with rubbish internet and no way of fetting our money back or getting it fixed. Just pay the extra money and go with etisilat. Avoid Virgin at all costs.

Virgin Mobile UAE – Absolute Worst, Especially for Roaming
I had one of the worst telecom experiences with Virgin Mobile UAE while roaming. I paid AED 100 to activate roaming, then they asked me to recharge again for international minutes, which I did. Within one hour, they auto-renewed my monthly package and wiped out the balance I had just loaded — then told me I needed to recharge again.
So now I've spent AED 200+ and can barely use any of it because their system keeps eating up credit through forced renewals. No warning, no transparency, just money gone.
Their customer service is completely useless. Agents either don't understand the issue or simply don't want to help. When I asked why my 200 roaming minutes disappeared instantly, the only answer was "your monthly plan renewed automatically." However at the time of recharge it was showing 30 days validity. Why will i recharge if its expering imediatly and what's this logic. On top of that, they keep passing tickets from one team to another — nobody takes ownership. It's been over a week and they still haven't resolved the issue while I'm stuck in roaming paying for a service I can't even use.
I've wasted countless hours and days chasing them for a fix. And now I'm returning to the UAE tomorrow — so what was even the point of buying roaming minutes? All that money spent for absolutely nothing.
My advice: Do NOT get a Virgin Mobile SIM, especially if you travel. They will drain your balance through sneaky auto-renewals, bounce your complaints between teams endlessly, and offer zero resolution. Trust me, this is one of the worst telecom services I have ever used. Save yourself the frustration.

Home internet is highly unreliable.
I need to keep rebooting my router everyday/2 days to re-establish the internet connection.
Internet fidelity is a basic expectation of service.
Apparently Starlink is now approved in the UAE, so this will need to be a consideration for a future service provider.

I initially was facing a lot of trouble trying to get a Virgin sim due to some technical difficulties. That being said, over a span of two months, I finally was able to get it and it’s all thanks to the help of Pauline and Richard from the Burjuman kiosk. They’ve been very supportive in trying to manage my needs while also communicating with the back end team. Would highly recommend going to them if you need any help with Virgin sims.
